Give Sonic Team a break. It's not their fault that Sega is treating them so badly that there's not enough resources to come up with great ideas anymore. Lack of time, bad ideas.

Werehog not withstanding, I don't think ideas is Sonic Team's problem.  They've had plenty of good ones.  What they lack is polish, which comes with, as you said, lack of time.

You know, in collecting my last Final Smash trophies I came to a stunning realization:  For as badly as I've claimed to suck as King Dedede, I suck even more on infinitely worse levels as Meta Knight.  Yes, FRICKIN' META KNIGHT.  That was the most shameful All-Star play ever.

THREE deaths on Easy Mode.  Tiers my ass.

I think I'm getting a little too adept at one-on-one and a little too reckless in 3-4 player.  Which is weird because ordinarily I hate one-on-one.

All the talk in the Bitchslap thread is getting me itching for some more online Brawling.  Anyone else up for a match?

EDITS: BTW, I checked those Dragon Warrior/Quest stages wondering why we got disconnected last time.  The hacks were on when I built them, but I hadn't intended to use them for anything.  Destiny is beyond the stage builder part limit, but Dragon's Lair which we were attempting is fully legal.  So I don't know what the hell was happening there.  Maybe online Brawl just hates constant ricochets off of walls.

Questioning Wily's involvement in the X-series is like questioning whether or not he built Zero.  Some fans like to throw that out there because of the perceived ambiguity, but in truth they're simply not paying attention; the imagery presented clearly reiterated it time and time again.  Nobody but Wily fits the X5 bill, and while you could possibly write him out of X2 and X6, you would have to twist the plot around pretty severely to do so.

And besides, to say Wily has no involvement in the X-series is to directly contradict Inafune's recent interview.  You know, the same one where he confirmed that Zero didn't kill the Classic-series cast.  When Zan said, "Word of God" in his earlier post, he meant that it came straight from Inafune's mouth.

It's enough.  Even if overall height is close, their body proportions are anything but.  There's also the physics differences, weight and speed and all.

Viruses I think would work better as a Final Smash.

Dr. Mario I might excuse as a costume swap if not for Fireballs and FLUDD.  They don't really work for him.
So, what the hell?  6 character slots isn't the end of the world (5 to preserve the oldies + Daisy for me).  Mario IS the company mascot, after all.

Oh yes, and Pichu does NOT work as a Pikachu skin-swap.  The fact that he is smaller, with infinitely cuter vocals and taunts, is the whole freaking appeal.  Like I said, if roster space is a concern then I'd group him with possible Pokemon Trainer picks.

So Hypershell, since you're pretty much the only other FE head doing this, who would you pick? I'll probably do a four set from them for the laughs anyway though.

Well, since I'm one of those "sucks to axe anyone" people, I'd probably preserve Marth, Ike, and Roy.  Lethe makes four already.

So far as how to handle Lethe (transforming character is a given), I figure the animal form would hit harder, but fly further when struck (since Laguz tire easily when shifted).  As for moves......need more time there.  Fire Emblem attacks are basically pulled out of a hat, anyway.  But I figure a paralyzing roar should be part of her Final Smash.

As if we haven't covered Serges and Isoc enough, but the exceptionally stubborn need only look to X5.  Sigma's partner, appears to be Zero's father, seen in Zero's dreams, builds an "ultimate Sigma body" that is a fairly obvious Gamma knockoff.  Not to mention that giant W in the background, and his name in the X5 intro sequence.
