Gladly (as long as it's not 8-9 EST; Smallville).  Who's gonna help me kick your ass? :P

On the other hand, getting in practice in spite of NSMBWii may be difficult...

If I told you I think I may be able to duplicate it without cloning?
Not in the least necessary.  If you want to lure me, get a Vulpix/Ninetails for my Pokedex so that I can GTS one.

Either way, I doubt I'll be ready to trade before Saturday.

Heh, Koopa Clown Car is almost spoilers, that's why I didn't post it. Same for Hot Air Balloons.
Not really, magazine scans confirmed Jr.'s Koopa Clown Car before release.

Although now that we're going that route:

POW Block seemed to function like SMB2's the most, so that's that one.
It's more execution than actual function.  The game just happens to not require flipping enemies before killing them, and most POW Blocks are on the floor so hitting them from below is rare.  But really, the core concept is simply, you hit POW, POW hits everything.

Gaming / Re: Phoenix Wright, now objecting and pointing on the Wii?
« on: November 18, 2009, 03:30:25 AM »
Even though I already own these, I am so getting them if they come to U.S. WiiWare.  I mean, I *HAVE* to have a Phoenix Wright that others can watch me play. 8)

3105
By "for a while" I meant that I'll give it back >_>
Yeah, I know, that's just me being paranoid.  The last time I tried to trade with someone, getting a stable connection was a nightmare.

Keep pestering me, I'll cave sooner or later. :P

I still miss Daisy.  But I can't help but love this game.

Oh, and Aldo, some notes on your tributes:
-SMB1: Infinite lives stomping on a Koopa Shell before the flagpole.
-SMB1/3: Koopas cannot be kicked out of their shells.
-SMW: Koopa Clown Car
-SMA4: Hint videos.
-POW block is originally from Mario Bros. (and yes it DOES work if you bash it from below; Mrs. Shell brought that to my attention)  Only the ability to throw it is SMB2.

And I got my dad to play from the start to W1 Fortress.
...let's just say that picking him up REALLY sped us up. >U<
Same for me and Mrs. Shell.

It seems, no matter how much she likes Mario, she's weakened by the need to follow two characters on-screen.  She can't even play MM2 Power Fighters.  But I did leave Larry to her and she trashed him, so HOPEFULLY she will continue.

I just love the Co-OP aspect to it so very very much.  Especially in a Mario game.  I'm really hoping this does insanely well, so that companies (I [tornado fang]ing MEAN YOU, CAPCOM) take note of this
Damn straight.

Emulation / Re: Wii Menu 4.2 - FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!
« on: November 18, 2009, 02:07:05 AM »
Nah.  Boot2 is only checked after you've already started a System Update, and as far as I am aware (EDITS: Just verified myself, updated to 4.2 after NSMBWii and BootMii is still there), BootMii does not alter your Boot2 version number.  So, you install BootMii after Boot2 has updated, and you're good.

I figured I'd post an FYI here with the release of NSMBWii.  I updated first-hand off of the disc because I was done with the GC Action Replay loader, and the fact that a hacked MIOS (Gamecube compatibility) triggers Wii disc update messages was annoying me.  NSMBWii does not contain System Menu 4.2 (as I expected, since I've known disc updates to be out of date); I'm still on 4.1.  However, it DOES contain the Boot2 update.  BootMii got wiped and thus I have to reinstall it.

Probably safer to update by disc than by internet anyway.  Although the guys at HackMii still don't have an actual explanation as to why 4.2 bricks beyond the logical speculation of a Boot2 update failure.  Bushing requested to do a post-mortem on such a Wii if anyone has one to send to him, but he requires that it has a BootMii backup to go with it in order to get the NAND keys.

And that's about the limit of my technobabel-processing.

Point is, if you updated your system off of NSMBWii, then even though you're not actually at 4.2 you're probably through the worst of the 4.2 update.

Later, maybe, but not for now.  Mine's staying with me until I get HG/SS.  Or until I feel like putting up with REIN long enough to clone it.  One of those two.

3110
I wish I had a DS and it will be too late for me until I get one, at least there is gameshark.[/pathetic]
As long as you're going to cheat, may as well make it convincing.  There's always the PKM Database for latecomers.

I avoid it when possible due to my particular save ripper (REIN) hating Pokemon.

Zero / Re: About Ragnarok...
« on: November 17, 2009, 01:22:40 AM »
It's a gameplay mechanic that very few games have bothered to attempt to explain.  Those that do offer varying explanations.  Everything from clones to rebuilt to fetching souls out of an air fortress.

X / Re: What do you want to see in X9?
« on: November 17, 2009, 01:18:01 AM »
- Keep the Zero/ZX designs in Zero/ZX. Nothing against them, but they're part of what help make them stand out compared to X. The same goes for the opposite; ZX3 should not use Sensei's designs.
Naturally.  ZX really shouldn't be the same design no matter how you look at it, seeings how it's humans/normal 'roids dressed up in nostalgic-themed armor.  Most of which is identical from the neck down outside of color scheme and functional attachments

See, I myself enjoyed the ZX series, but I still feel as though in some aspects it is a step down from the Zero series.
Besides the lack of a Double Jump (which Model H/HX more than makes up for), I really don't see how that's at all true.  Quite the opposite, I felt at Z4 that the series was starting to stagnate.  Z4 was the first Inticreates game that I felt really failed to outdo its predecessor; some things were better but some things were worse.  ZX was a much needed breath of fresh air and, barring some trivial mission selection and weapon energy mechanics, didn't leave a whole heck of a lot you could ask for.  Advent was just as strong quality-wise, but sadly weakened the X and Zero homage.

3113
Fair enough.  You have your fun, I have mine (99 Stock 300% 2.0 damage all-bombs match)

Now that, I didn't know.  I only have 60-70 lives.

And as far as blush-inducing "secret world" talk from a Princess goes, I'd rather hear that from Daisy. :V  Ah well, can't win 'em all.

I really can't get enough of that Hammer Bros. remix.  Even playing only Worlds 1, 5, and 8, I deliberately hit map enemies whenever possible, and wound up with something like sixty Mushrooms. 8)

Oh yeah, and we all knew it was coming, but...
...I'll be pissed if I get to the end and there is no Player 1 Character Select code hidden in the credits.  I'd hate to think that the DS is capable of one-upping the Wii
And in addition to this, GUESS WHAT?  PEACH'S SKIRT WAVES AS SHE FALLS!

I'll just say that, I love this game to death, but I'll be pissed if I get to the end and there is no Player 1 Character Select code hidden in the credits.  I'd hate to think that the DS is capable of one-upping the Wii, trivial a detail as it may seem.  I happen to love the man in green, and I despise the idea of being "punished" for being first player.

It didnt look too sketchy to me.
The thing is, In Nakayama's artwork, as nice as it is, in a game, it just looks unfinished.
I gotta back this, even if it's Flame and I who are the weirdos.  I don't have anything against sketches.  Hell, I virtually never ink/color my own crap.  There is something to be said for a drawing in its "raw" form.  But for use in a video game, it looks sloppy.

X / Re: What do you want to see in X9?

Well, if you want Zero-series style with better detail, that's basically what ZX is.  And that's where it should stay, IMHO.

Late to the conversation, but Nakayama isn't the ZX series artist.
He did some of the concept art.  But I have seen little if any finished art from him outside of his one ZX Tunes piece.

When Zero runs in the opening scene, you see his legs for literally a second or less, so it's impossible to judge.
I am referring to Zero's opening, not the game opening.  Two different scenes.

I find them to mostly be a source of bs wins. You can be the best player for 90% of the game, but then someone else wins because they happened to get the right item. It's just not very fun. My friends feel the same way, and I don't have anyone to play with online, so off they go. At least one of Brawl's problems has an easy fix.
It's called, "play a longer match".  Getting screwed once in a while is one thing, but if you can't handle items, you're not the better player, you're a niche player.  Quit fooling yourself.

I'm at about a similar point.  Mrs. Shell is out and about so I haven't had the chance to try multiplayer.

FRIKKIN SMB3 HAMMER BROS REMIX!!!

-Shaking Wii remote to lift Toad seems clunky.  Other than that, remote usage is responsive.
-Only Players 2-4 can select their character.  Player 1 *MUST* be Mario.
? For a company pushing a non-HD piece of hardware, I find it more than a little bizarre that there is no fullscreen option.
? The Ice Flower is a lot more plentiful than the Fire Flower, in the first world anyway.

I saw a lot of red cases in boxes at mine just now. They had pre-orders set aside and some for general release in a box, so you may as well try them out. They opened early today too.
Mine refused to set aside general release boxes for FIRE EMBLEM.  That's pretty darn sad.  I don't trust them for new releases, and I'm annoyed with the fact that every time I step into the store they try to sell me a pre-order.  Most gamers have internet access; if I wanted to pre-order something I wouldn't leave the house to do it.

Fortunately, there's always Best Buy.  It's been so long since I shopped there that I forgot about them.

Sure as hell looks cleaner than his ZX Tunes cover, I'll give you that.

These are what I meant:
Fanart.  The depth of the armor detailing is exaggerated (not that I don't do the same thing with X-series Zero's shoulders; old habit from the model kits), and Zero's vest and buster are both wrong.
