Frog? Sucking outside of water? I just call it Hard Mode. 8D
When did you start working for Inticreates?

Vegito wants his CMoA back.
You know the world is coming to an end when Neko of all people read my mind.

No no, Vegito is too damn awesome, Zero is kinda cool, but his thong and all. In theory, Vegito is made of pure concentrated win, and since he only appeared once makes him even more badass. Zero will never achieve that, hes appeared too much.
However Vegito has the disadvantage of having to put up with Gogeta crapifying the concept. Plus, whatever the thong cost Zero in win, he more than regained when he gave said thong to Aile.

I really like this MM3 Wily Stage 2 Remix. 8)
Oh, now you've done it. You've RELEASED THE BEAST of MM3 remixes!!!

......freaky.

And for some bizarre reason Disco Dan's Wily Stage 3 doesn't seem to be on YouTube. I'll have to fix that at some point.

The problem with most of the newer 3D Zeldas were that they were trying too hard to be like OoT. For me it's not the nostalgia factor, it's the fact that it could be so much more. Glad to see Eiji thinking in that light.
Well, WW is clearly not OoT, and I think efforts by it to be OoT are foolish.

I'm not even sure if I'd call Majora's Mask too much like OoT, it did a lot different, some of which hasn't been done since despite an obvious need (REMATCHABLE BOSSES, NINTENDO, GET WITH THE FRIKKIN PROGRAM).

TP, was definitely, very much like OoT. And I loved it for that reason (among others; how do you not love Midna?). Because as Eiji himself said, OoT is better for its impact than it is its lasting value. A lot about it feels clunky by today's standards, most notably the entire execution of Epona, something TP did wonderfully. I wouldn't call OoT quite as timeless as a lot of the sidescrollers we all run back to every now and again. So yes, I'm glad that TP is what it is. Yes, I still miss OoT's beast Ganon and BIGGORON'S SWORD.

But yes, I would also love a new take on the Zelda formula. So we'll see what direction Master Stroke takes.

Pretty much anything X or Legends series related gets my top vote.

Alright, I can understand all your wants for sequels, especially the continuation of certain Rockman series', but unfortunately I doubt we'll really see another Irregular Hunter X. The other games usually sold well and thus warranted sequels, but I remember hearing that IHX's sales were absolutely awful.
I'm not a big fan of the whole "MHX-ize the entire pre-PS2 series" idea, but I do maintain that they should have tried porting it to home consoles before giving up on the idea of any sequels at all. I was hoping to at least see an MHX2 for the sake of the soundtrack alone.

Usually if I find a boss hard it's because of some damn ranking requirement. So far as just beating the boss goes, I can't possibly post anything that compares to Vix's bullet storm from last page, but nevertheless I'm surprised nobody mentioned this yet:

-Chornoforce, Hard Mode, ZX Advent.
Narrow safe zones combined with a constant time bomb, yeilds a character who is hellishly tough at ANY point in your typical Inti-crippled Hard Mode, much less having to fight him as your second or third Pseudoroid of the game.

And one other one, that actually isn't as tough as getting to him, but still memorably difficult:

-Mysterial, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Masters Final Set (Diamond version linked with the game)
They finally did it. They finally put a Choice Scarfed Kyogre on the CPU's side. Good luck.

I'd join, but Mrs. Shell has the TV reserved for a movie. :|

Blast, I hardly ever get to Brawl with Vix. And the one time I did I got my ass kicked due to using Bowser to show off my custom stage.

I'd say that little [parasitic bomb] with the sword is a lot more threatening, and annoying, than Fox. But that's just me.

Not quite. Kangaroo's on left side of the water and the Leg Hyper Chip is on the right. And you don't really need Frog for that; charged Frost Shield works just as well.

The main point of using Frog was breaking the fans causing the current in that area. And possibly Ride Armor for the sake of Ride Armor in Doppler's Lab, IF you already killed Vile.

I find it funny how Gaea's head part description is actually in the body part dialogue.

Apparently both parts are supposed to be contributing to lowering damage. *shrugs*

Well, the fact that I switched back to Yoshi wasn't working in your favor, either. I was trying other characters just for the heck of it. And there's really little doubt that Yoshi is my best. I just occasionally pull ahead with Sonic/Ike/Peach when somebody gets too used to my Yoshi.

*UPPERCUT!!*

X8's boss theme is awesome and very fitting. At least, the first half is. The latter half cannot compare, which is unfortunate given that on Hard Mode you'll pretty much always hear that longer than the normal theme.

X5's boss theme was ear-piercing. Zero Virus theme was interesting but entirely too repetitive and too frequently used (we didn't have to do cutscenes, stage select, AND stages with all the same tune). X's character theme is pretty crappy. Not terribly fond of Mattrex and Axle The Red music, either.

X / Hacking your way to McWhalen/Dizzy capsules as Zero
« on: November 21, 2009, 05:08:24 PM »
For any who don't scour YouTube for X5 videos, somebody finally pulled it off about five months ago:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7SkedAT2mo

I took the liberty of transcribing:

Dark Dizzy capsule (credit to X6800 for hacking his way to this capsule):
This is the program for the head part of
the Gaea Armor. Analyze and upload
the data to X's main memory in
a secure area. Once X uploads all 4
of the programs, the Gaea Armor
will be complete.
Thank you for your cooperation in
gathering the Armor files...

Duff McWhalen capsule (credit to X6800 for hacking his way to this capsule):
This is the program for the body part of
the Falcon Armor.
Analyze and upload the data to X's
main memory in a secure area.
Once X uploads all 4 of the programs,
the Falcon Armor will be complete.
With the body part equipped, the damage
X receives will be less.
But don't overestimate the
part, or you'll regret it...
Please give this message to X.

One other thing with X1 is that requiring boss weapons for parts was rare (although X6 still one-ups it in that respect). Capsules only required other capsules. And even when a weapon was needed for something else, it at least didn't feel like a mandatory revisit,

X5 had some serious offenses in that respect. McWhalen's capsule requires McWhalen's weapon? Riiiiight. His Heart Tank (as Zero) is best obtained with E-Blade, which comes from the boss you should be tackling immediately AFTER him? Ugh.

Marth: COUNTER!
Yoshi: BrringPOP up and over!
Jelly: Nice!

......okay, that's all I've got.

hmm. For my personal opinion, X8 is another. It's music was good, but a few tunes gratedon my nerves, and a few were very forgettable.
Well, many have a "few" tunes that grate on nerves. It's forgivable. Case in point, again: X5. There were a lot of weak entries in that one, considerably more so than X8. But you can't argue with Zero's theme, X vs. Zero, or pretty much any tune related to Sigma.

ZX / Re: What's up with ZX3?

Same.

BTW, the capsules which taunt you with needing Falcon Armor in X5 are Skiver's and Axle The Red's. You CAN reach them as Zero, but it takes a whole bunch of crap, and the fact that it is mandatory to miss at least half the Power-Up Parts in the game doesn't leave good odds with it being possible in a casual playthrough.

That is one of my many gripes with the game; the improper execution of the Gaia Armor. It's too unavailable. Unless you're deliberately "questing" for it while doing as little as possible (which is discouraged due to the Eurasia timer), you won't get it until you're ready to tackle Zero Virus 1, right when its limitations hurt it the most. Even if you do hunt for it purposefully, you'll still have to visit every stage and clear 3 of them (all of which are Falcon/Enigma levels anyway) if you're doing it as X. If you're 3l33t enough to do it as Zero, you're a little better off since you only need to clear Grizzly and Skiver.

Some fun matches, guys.

I'll tell you what, my lack of play time seriously shows when I play as Peach. She's usually more comical relief for me than anything else, but still, I know I used to be able to use her a little better.

And I swear the CPU hates me when it comes to FS-holding. Never fails, I always lose it within three hits, usually less. And then there was one match (I think in Pokemon Stadium but I kinda forget) where I kicked the ever-loving [parasitic bomb] out of Harruhy after it broke on him and he WOULD. NOT. DROP IT!!!

I'll remind you that you cannot see the team colors of the other players during character-select. We need to figure out who's going to be what color before we start playing.

I'll start. I call Blue Team.
