A victory with Sonic is like slapping someone in the face with your junk. It's like beating someone using only Dan's taunt.

It's a sweet victory. CARMEN MI AMORE!

Gamespot and G4 usually have some good streams going. IGN requires you to download some retarded plugin codec for Firefox so they're not as good... and usually run 20 seconds behind everyone else.

Now, hold on, I didn't see the Nikkei report mention anything about it being a mainline Mario title. It just said it was a Mario title.

Shouldn't be much of a problem when you get Cures in, though they subscribe to the same guidelines. (Three Cures = Three Cure casts)

... óVó

I dunno. I'll hope for the best, but I don't think the old "Third Pillar" strategy is going to pan out nearly as well for Sony as it did for Ninty.

And FINALLY, it looks like Ninty has joined the "leak" bandwagon. Source is Nikkei News

(Original JP link is here: http://www.nikkei.co.jp/news/main/20090531AT1D2907V30052009.html)

Basically, new Wii Fit is coming and also a new MARIO game is confirmed to be on the way. Both slated for the 2nd half of this year. It would seem that Ninty realizes that Wii sales are slipping, and are on the way to do more to do something about that.

Could it be Super Paper Mario 2? Mario Galaxy's successor? Who knows, but we could stand to find out in a few days...  *o*

None of the above. It'll be a spinoff game: Mario Party 9, Mario Strikers 3, or Mario Baseball 3.

He's been backing his stuff up on flash drives he has, considering he's reformatted this computer about ten times recently just to get it to run Windows 98SE.

I'd imagine the game might be a little too niche in the U.S. Disgaea already has a tiny enough fanbase, and it's usually regarded as a good SRPG. My guess if it's ported to the Wii with additions, they could theoretically pander to the Fire Emblem crowd...

This one's a bit messier for other reasons than legal workings.

Well... all I can really say is a resounding...

So, what's this Mega Man Rush Marine stuff MMN posted up? Or is it too early for this site to follow it?

He's not using the Egg-O-Matic Hovercraft? Or his All-Terrain Driller (Sonic 2, Emerald Hill Zone)?
It's his Egg-o-Matic with monster truck wheels. It also shoots missiles.

My eyes are on Namco with their Vesperia PS3 re-release. Otherwise, I'd like to see what the three big players will be bringing out. We can already expect figure fapping from Nintendo... as always... Sony trying to show PS3 really isn't the laughing stock it's been the last three years and Microsoft likely trying to say "oh, we're also about family fun too!" with their new motion sensing controls/camera as well as detailing Zune HD and 360 connectivity.

For the record, Zune HD? Looking pretty nice just because of that HD FM Radio Tuner (picks up stations inbetween normal FM signals... like how you have your 94.9's, but now there's 94.97's.

My thought is they set the brand to some insane standard that Sega just can't reach... it's like wanting games while looking through the rosiest-tinted glasses in existence. The second one thing deviates from that view, it's an all out flurry of yelling, crying, moaning, tired jokes, and over-used pictures that would make a four-year-old kid embarrassed. Meanwhile, the people who genuinely like games because they're fun in the franchise have to go out and do some damage control. It's no wonder the Sonic fanbase has the "respect" they do. They're the biggest bunch of babies on the Internet who, half of the time, don't even know what they want.

I point to the "THIS GAME IS TOO SLOW! WAIT, NOW SONIC'S TOO FAST!" issue we had here with Unleashed and was no doubt reciprocated around the Internet countless times.

Because it's not really a Sonic game. This is the same move they did with Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection where, again, purely for marketing reasons, they slapped Sonic as the poster boy even though he had a minimal inclusion as opposed to the other Genesis classics included on the disc (this mostly holds true in America. Outside of the U.S., the game was billed as Sega's Ultimate Mega Drive Collection with no nasty Sonic render on the front.)

Sonic's priority on the box is purely to sell off the brand's name. I don't exactly approve of the practice and would prefer the game's title to just be Sega All-Star Racing (this was actually its concept name,) but at the end of the day, Sega's a company and wants money. So, to get the game more attention, they slap on their best-known franchise on the title to increase its selling potential.

In other cases, when we DO get main series titles, complaining this early when all we have are a CGI and a handful of gameplay photos is kind of stupid. It happened with Unleashed, but that turned out to be pretty good... moreso on the PS3 and 360. With Black Knight, the idea was novel but it was really poorly executed and a good chunk of the game wound up being just collecting items to try and get more stuff for weapons Sonic can't even really use.

It's just gameplay, people. What fun would a game be if Sonic's allowed to go full speed while everyone else is in a vehicle? You guys are bitching like this is the next main series title.

Newstip: It's not. It's another title in the Sega Superstars brand, except Sonic gets priority billing for the sake of pushing more titles. Just like how Sega Superstars Tennis used a modified version of Virtual Tennis, this is confirmed to be using the OutRun 2 engine. It's nothing but a second-party Sega title and yet everyone reacts like it's the end of the world.

Actually, I can see trying to educate people on this topic isn't going to work. Go ahead, get all the bile out of your system. [sonic slicer] and moan about how this isn't true Sonic (even though it isn't meant to be in the first place... it's not even being touched by Sonic Team or Sonic Team USA) while other get to enjoy a pretty good party racing game. You know... something Mario Kart Wii failed to be because of so many poor design choices?

The only off part of Sonic Drift was how reliant you were on drifting.

All I ask, Sega... or Sumo, in this case... is that this be good enough to beat the living [parasitic bomb] out of Mario Kart. Not like that should be hard to do given how utterly bad Mario Kart Wii was... but still!

Well, I don't like how the Red Shell being a homing device, Dry Bowser, the Blue Shell's entry, Dry Bowser, the lightning's nockoff, Dry Bowser, Dry Bowser.

He's just too fast. :(
Oddly, I've never had problems with Dry Bowser. On the Wii, the main annoyances are usually Peach or Donkey Kong. I play as Toad, one of the lightest characters in the game, so...

Now, in Mario Kart DS... I swear to God, R.O.B. was programmed to just murder the player. If he's one of the two usual rivals at the top of the standings, he's always on your ass with red shells. If he's buried in sixth, he's packing blue shells like crazy. It's ridiculous.
