Only thing I disliked about the story is how much they use those Yuri and Estelle scenes without much change to the general dialog. It's not so bad on first playthrough, but when you go through subsequent ones, you realize... 'My god... most of this game is literally them repeating the same damn thing until the final third of the game."

I just use those sword cards that get stronger the more you use together. I drop a virus' HP to something like... 2HP, then hit them with it. That usually puts me over 200.

And yet I've yet to finalize.

Also, I've gotten Battle Cards on all the Dealer people so far... usually by something as easy as S Ranking them.

I call Downloadable content new stuff not on the card. All of the stuff Capcom's offering are just keys to unlock content there already. But I guess I can't complain. At least it'll be free.

Most of the data is still intact on the cart. The English website even mentions Rogue ZZ in the Extras section, which just got a big update in the form of a ton of White Cards and some Cipher Codes.

The popular theory is that there's "Downloadable Content", in that we'll need activation keys to get those features working legitly. Otherwise, the noise equip items are all intact and can be set by AR hacking, all in full English too. Others assume these are all purposeful glitches done to screw up emulators. Something similar happened with Chrono Trigger DS. When played on an emulator, there's a part that screws up and becomes an infinite loop. This doesn't happen on actual hardware.

This one is just a freak accident, likely. Still it's a bit soon to say, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is ruled as one.

Well, a lot of the people we know as famous are getting older. It's only a matter of time until they really begin dropping like flies. In this case, this was a guy who burst on to the TV yelling at us to buy OxyClean and Easy-off Bam. He only became famous because the Internet grabbed on to his loud ways and ran with it... sort of like an American version of Barry Scott. This may be a death that hurts the Internet more than people in real life, though it's still sad nonetheless.

I'm dead.

http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-billy-mays29-2009jun29,0,6116879.story

He was found unresponsive in his home by his wife and he couldn't be revived. America has now lost a valuable infomercial salesman. Who will yell at us to buy products on TV now? Vince Shlomi the Scout?

...[tornado fang].

Image aside, RIP Billy. God damn, this has been a bad week for anyone considered famous in the public light. What's worse is Mays was also 50 and died in the same vague manner as Michael Jackson. No cause of death confirmed yet.

Anime & Manga / Re: Sailor Moon

Yep... seen the show. Got all the way to the end of the English dub. Honestly, I can't help but feel a little glad that they didn't dub the last one. A lot of the emotion towards the end of the final arc would have been absolutely mutilated with some of the edits that could have been pulled off.

Also, I'm sure some christian loonies would have flipped a lid at two "cousins" raising a girl who can change her age on command.

His name is Alex. We were JUST talking about him.

2010 release is a definite. I'm calling for the usual February-April gap for pokemon games, very likely in March.

The unfortunate part of it is, her death has so far been pretty much washed undertow by the media because of Michael Jackson's death too. It's tragic, certainly, especially because it's the all-too-familiar scourge that is cancer. It's just a little bit sad that her death is getting brushed aside for Jackson's. At the same time, she had a lot of exposure prior to this with that mini-series that ran of her.

Nonetheless, rest in peace, Farah. Your fight's finally over, though not in the way many people hoped it would be.

Forget the damn artbook...

Destructoid: Pre-order Metroid Prime Trilogy via GameStop, Get Shirt

It's a pretty basic but tasteful shirt. Not bad at all!

Well, that was earlier when it was in conception, this is now, I'll go edit that thanks.  It's why I hardly post outside the art gallery, sometimes things can be taken a little too seriously.

Need a dose of common sense then.

Jesus, I'm actually shivering thinking about this still. RIP Michael, you will be missed. Also [tornado fang] everyone who makes a tasteless joke about him at this time. Seriously.

While I agree, the Internet sadly doesn't and won't give a dead person at least a day or two of respect before ripping a joke.

It's a shame, since we lost one of the biggest influences in music in years. He may have had a rough time as of late, but regardless, no one can take away how important he was to music in the 80s.

ZX / Re: So, is this series becoming another legends?
« on: June 23, 2009, 07:51:57 PM »
You know, I just noticed that. All of the Zero sequels had one year between them, right?

Uh oh...

I remember people saying that they didn't like how fast the ZX games were coming. I'll be willing to accept that a new ZX is being slow simmered to be a big bang finish for the series.

I was thinking that too... but what if he's not using the element itself, but it's an elemental attribution from the weapon? Weapons had their own elementals to them from time to time.

I still love that picture.

@Pringer X- We have no idea. There probably won't be any data transfer for Golden Sun DS. If only because the game takes place after the cast from the first two games are already dead.
Unconfirmed info is unconfirmed.

For all we know, these three could either be:

a) Isaac, Mia and Garet a little more grown up
b) The above's children
c) Descendant, as you say.

It's way too soon to speculate on story, aside from if that bastard Alex will be coming back.

All you need to post is Golden Sun DS, my friend.

I'm just hoping some of the strategy from the EXE series' battle system comes back. I always loved how deep it was despite the restrictions. EXE 3 was absolutely brilliant in terms of deck versatility, fluidity with the amount of mega chips, program advances, and how the Navi Customizer worked. The Mod Codes you get later in the game were outstanding and if used right would make the HubBat an absolute must, especially as it negates the 50% HP loss clause normally put in by the ability.

I say I'm indifferent but I'll still probably wind up picking this up. I've gone through the main six EXE games along with network transmission and have gone through two of the three star forces, with the third on the way as soon as it drops. Here's hoping they take into consideration EXE3s system with some refinements in styles/forms seen in EXE5 and 6.

Man... 2008 was a spectacular gaming year. 2009 seems to be the resting year, but 2010 is like... "Round 2!"

873
Rayquaza would be shoe-horned into a person cosplaying as a DBZ character with the 7 Dragon Balls, as he has very little use other than stopping all weather effects.

Just saying... if you walk in to Legendia with low expectations, you'll probably find some enjoyment in there... but it's easily the weakest of the 3D Tales of titles.

875
I'd still prefer a ZX3 or a Legends 3. It's a shame because ZXA had a really fun little cliffhanger and yet they're just going to leave it rotting there where as Starforce 2 came around the same time, did its job, segued in to Starforce 3, ended the series... or "Climaxed" it, whatever, and now there's a fourth one coming as a giant cross over.

Admittedly, it's still FAR too early to trash the game itself as... well, come on, people, all we know is it has a logo and the two card battling Mega Man's are starring in it. I'm sure people would send cream filling flying around if they swerved and brought in the two Djangos and Sabatas too (which would be removed from the U.S. sadly.) I'm interested in seeing if we'll be fighting classic navis as well as new navis with new FMians or whatever the hell they're actually called. Wave Beings, I guess? Bass.EXE and Rogue are pretty much expected.

But I guess this announcement wouldn't have drawn such ire from Mega Man fans if they teased the next (and likely last) ZX.
