ZX / Re: What's up with ZX3?
« on: November 29, 2009, 09:50:05 PM »
I didn't realize you could play as any other model other than ZX for bosses. It's just so overpowered that there really is almost no point to switching forms once you get it. Hell, outside of that, I never used ANY of the boss forms aside from the Generals.

Makes me miss the sword beam. My god, that thing was so broken with Fierce Deity. Tack on some Chateaux Romani and you were practically untouchable.

553
Which of the two are more broken right now? I keep remembering everyone harping on about how bullshit Latias was but how Latios was even worse, or am I mixing the two up?

Too bad his nobody is so worthless, he originally gets killed in one hit.

Hopefully it'll be up for a little bit longer before the copyright claims are fired off.

Also, enjoy some Shadow The Hedgehog in Pokemon:

Take it out of the dark ages.

I can't say I'm too surprised. Anime reuses animations so much that some of them just don't even try to hide it.

Of course, there are worse things...

Ah, yes. His voice.
It's very rage worthy.
I honestly expect God to sound... you know... a little more commanding? A low-booming voice?

The way he sounds right now, Mewtwo can slap him silly. Of course, casting Dan Green as Arceus... too easy but it'd be epic.

Dub version Rage-filled Arceus sounds retarded.

Okay, Okay... here's the true Top 10 Hardest Gaming Bosses Ever. This cannot be disputed and you're all [Top Spin]s if you do.

ROLL CLIP:

10) Whispy Wood (Kirby)
9) Gohma (Ocarina of Time)
8 ) Tabuu (Smash Bros. Brawl)
7) Bowser (Super Mario RPG)
6) Green Devil (Mega Man and Bass)
5) Mid-Boss (Disgaea)
4) Slime-o-Matic (Sonic 2)
3) Toad Man (Mega Man 4)
2) Sephiroth Form 3 (Final Fantasy 7)
1) Dinosaur King (Star Fox Adventures)

Still... all of these fail compared to the most devilish, fiendish boss ever made in video gaming...

CLOUD N. CANDY (Yoshi's Story)

OH MY GOD, THE HORROR. Seriously, if you beat this guy, you're the god of gaming. He is like the hottest of hot sauce drenched on the tongue of a farmer who is crazy.

...God damn. And I thought some of the combo shows in DMC4 were spectacles.

Man, Capcom... DMC5 better take notice of this and try to top it.

though I'd kill to see a DMC/Bayonetta crossover. The two main characters are such assholes that it can only end well for the player.

Well, it's just there for those that do. I think getting the five stars themselves is more of the achievement. The sparkles are just a little extra icing on the cake: it's nice, but more style than substance.

It's better than getting nothing, though it is a little lame.

It wasn't even much of a great effort. Just play carefully and watch where you're jumping. When you beat the game (you can warp with the cannons) Super Guide immediately shuts off on all further level playthroughs. You'll still get the sparkle effect. It just shows you didn't need any hand-holding to beat the game.

It's like this:

Use Super Guide? You can still get the 5th star, just go back and beat the levels you used Super Guide in without using it. They will not glitter, though.

Didn't use Super Guide? Well then you're clearly an awesome Mario player if you have five stars, so here, we'll make your stars sparkle. Winners get sparkly things!

But yes, most of the level's challenge in single player is getting the Star Coins. Otherwise, it's trying to not die with another to three players on the screen at the same time as you.

EDIT: Also, star coins in NSMB DS don't matter too much. They're in much easier to get locations than NSMB Wii's in general.

I got the everything cleared message in-game and now a five-star profile. I never did see one super guide block the whole playthrough and once you beat the game, it won't activate.

Great game, though. I was happy I kept the final bosses and World 9 (in general) a secret to myself.

EXE 5 DS - Remake
OSS - Port with some "extras" slapped in.

..Wow... the sprites for ClockMan and Rogue are terrible. I've seen the people at Sprites Inc. do MUCH better jobs.

Those videos only showed me just how cheap and poor this game is overall. Frankly, I wouldn't mind if this was never brought over since it looks like a huge waste of effort.

And here I was thinking Geo would explore 20XX and screw around with the past a little, like a time cop of some sort before bumping into the MegaMan.EXE. That would have been a much more interesting and fresh take on the title, not a repeat of an 8-year-old game with some minor changes.

Little addition on Star 5: You CAN use it, but clearing the level will keep the icon on the world map red. When ALL the icons are blue, you'll unlock it... meaning you have to go back to the level you used Super Guide in and beat it yourself.

...Made it to World 6. I'm going at my own pace, accounting for school and such. I'm loving how the game is slowly raising the difficulty while not making it irritatingly so.

Also the little treat at the end of World 4. Mmm...
