It's better when he has the propeller suit on. There's almost no excuse there... or how about the times he actually gets on to the ship?

She's not too bright in times of a crisis... except that one time in her own game.

Surprising, I know. It's fine in an RPG, like I listed, but in an action game? [sonic slicer], [tornado fang] morals, that bastard infront of you is going to kill you moral or not, so given him some divine/malevolent spanking.

Smartass or not, it'd still be a horrible move.

To put it into perspective, if you think Sonic is bad now, Mario will be on par with it in a fully speaking role. Same with Link and most other silent protagonists. Samus is the only one that's managed so far to break the barrier with Metroid Other M, though I credit this more to her having a talented voice actress in Jennifer Hale.

Jecht vs. Yu Yevon... vs. Seymour.

Shame all their fights were ridiculously easy.

Mario fully talking (as Charles Martinet) sounds weird and would get annoying extremely fast.

I love that questionable line drawn by humans as what is light/good and what is dark/evil. It's like... it's bad to kill a person, but is it really bad when the person would have gone on later to blow up a building, killing hundreds? Sometimes you've got to go "bad" for the greater good.

Hell, I wrote a story entirely where the main characters believed themselves to be in the right, but they were actually [tornado fang]ing everything up. Golden Sun did this too.

Because he's made of crap.

No, seriously.

What this series needs is a REAL VILLAIN like Exdeath.
>Exdeath
>A Real Villain
>HURR HURR HURR, HURR HURR HURR, HURR HURR HURR.

I'd sooner take David "Mateus" Bowie.

Because the only villain apparently worth using is one of the lamer ones in the series... and this is even considering that lackey, Seifer. Actually, I think they're the only two "villain" aligned FF characters in the series.

Works for me.

Also, the darkness [parasitic bomb] only involves those two idiots, Cloud and Sephiroth... and by extension, Tifa. Zack looks to be the peppy upstart who can destroy whole buildings with a smile.

Well... they did mention in the first game she moved to Destiny Islands at a young age and that definitely doesn't look like the Islands.

I would not be surprised if she's from Radiant Gardens before the whole thing went to crap.

But yeah, bigger story (for now) is Zack Fair is in. All he needs his cactaur dancing.

By making the classics [parasitic bomb].

I do kinda wish that among all of these re-releases they'd have included Knuckles Chaotix somewhere.  Couldn't believe that one wasn't in Gems Collection.
Get equipped with:
jEnesisDS

Great speed, sound, savestates, the option to DISABLE SCALING, and the ability to scroll the DS screen to any position you prefer.  It's about all you can ask for with the DS's smaller screen size.

With one unfortunate exception: Filesize.  It does not support games over 3MB, so no S3&K that way.  So, for S3&K on your DS, Classics Collection is the best hope thus far (assuming Sega doesn't botch it up).
Assuming that, jEnesiDS' developer may be able to find a way to over come that limitation if the emulator used in the game, assuming it does (and it may likely), is hacked apart and decompiled.

In the proper hands, these collections can only mean good things, though I do wish Sega would kind of back off on porting the classics so much, even if it is pretty much an easy-money ploy for them.

I love these. Using old negatives and turning them into colored prints. I like the softness some of these have.

Also, you can play the [tornado fang]ing games on a emu. On DS, PSP and PC.

So, why bother?

We'll focus on DS, since it's the relevant one here.

DS Genesis emulators currently suck. They utterly butcher the original display ratio of a Genesis game because the DS screens are much smaller. Now, by all means it's too soon to say if this game will change the display or if the emulation will even be good. Now, all signs show that they're retooling the games to keep them as close to the original titles on the DS' resolution, but Sega's got a questionable track record with emulation.

At the same time, this could be used in the same way Sega Classic Collection on PSP was used to make Pico Drive, one of the best Genesis emulators on the PSP.

I'm not thrilled about this, more so since I have these titles on Pico Drive PSP, but not everyone may subscribe to pirating with the flavor of the month card or have a PSP modded to run Pico Drive, so this isn't a bad move at all, especially making them portable.

I think it was confirmed already via the BBFC rating of the game. Knuckles in Sonic 2 is also in.

Shooting Star / Re: Your preferred Noise?
« on: December 01, 2009, 03:53:20 PM »
I got Corvus as my base, but I've got multiple noises to trans into to change up strategies. Corvus is fun because of Gravity Body, [tornado fang]ing up moves like Whistle spamming. Yes, a Virgo or Cancer trans will slap me out of it, but I've got two Gemini's and a Crown in the wings. There's also my own Virgo and an Ophiuca.

Hard to say which one form I prefer, though. I like them all for their versatility.

ZX / Re: What's up with ZX3?

Honestly, playing as Model ZX is almost no different than playing your plain old EX-Attackless Zero from the Zero series. If you can demolish the Zero series entirely in Hard Mode with Zero, Model ZX should not be any more different. It's pretty much just playing as Zero again.

It was nice to play as bosses, sure. I loved how they handled Omega at least, but some of those bosses didn't lend themselves at all to be playable at all. They'd have been better off either making them adopt weapons, like the older games or some other way. All I know is that it was ambitious but it didn't work out too well.

549
[tornado fang], I would too.

Look at that thing. It's a sinspawn. His happy skipping is just... horrifying. It sends Garchomps whimpering into a the corner.

Thats thinking INSIDE the box though.
You gotta think OUTSIDE the box, and not need to abuse the spinning slash.
And there's the problem. Why explore outside the box when inside the box utterly destroys everything? Why take the zig-zagy scenic route when you can just go direct? If Capcom wants to make the other forms more useful, they have to make the other forms more versatile and powerful. As it stands, the main forms are far more powerful and versatile than most of the others. Chronoforce serves well in slowing down time, sure, but stuff like Biofrost and Queen tend to be pretty lackluster. I can't remember using Deeburn more than smashing ice blocks.

I'm all for the boss forms, but they needed to be much more versatile instead of "outside the box" strategies or one or two uses in the main stages.
