Taking bets on Pokemon totals for this:

I'm wagering over 600, number hovering around 615-620.

Advance guard (All attack buttons while blocking) like crazy and you'll get little to no chip damage, you can do the same for every beam special actually. If you meant the grab, just super jump it.

Didn't know that about Advance Guard. That makes life much easier against Saki at least. Thanks!

Hello, Mr. Nomura. Your friendly neighborhood mutant tengu thing... or tasty mango... or whatever here. See this?

No more of this when you're writing these damn things. Stop it.

Good day.

Just wondering if there's a more effective method of this on Hand Yami. Usually, the fire saber attack breaks my guard (standing or ducking) and I usually have to use a mega break or whatever to get out of it. The only method I saw so far was to have Volnutt's Shield Arm on and it'll block while nullifying chip damage.

Just fishing to see if there's anything else I can do here. He's not hard, no. It's just a little annoying dealing with that attack.

To the people who actually voted for me...

But seriously, thanks. I'm surprised people actually throw attention my way. :P

You try eating a lot of Oreos without wanting to kill/[parasitic bomb] yourself.

Other than being a move it shouldn't know (as far as I can tell, could be wrong) any benefit for it knowing Draco Meteor? I don't tend to use dragon types so I'm not too familiar with the move... other than it's powerful and is a Dragon move.

Someone remind me, is Jirachi any bit useful for battling?

That is absolutely NO excuse when they have the text from the back of the original boxes, which can very well be found on the internet.
You're implying they care enough to do this.

Again, not everyone is a fan nor cares enough internally. Sloppy? Sure, but them's the breaks.

I always seem to kick the most ass on that stage. Probably because the music pumps me up.

Also, yeah, I noticed Shining Laser is pretty nerfed. I tend to avoid it in favor of the Machine Gun comboed with Roll's Hyper Broom Sweep or just abusing the ever loving crap out of the drill.

Understand these things tend to be written by interns who may not necessarily be good at either writing press releases or understanding the franchise like the fandom does.

Despite this, it still did its intended job since most people don't really read further than that: this game's coming out here, it's expected to be out by this date, and it'll feature these items on this system.

You know the usual Capcom stance: if fans demand it enough, they'll bring it over/consider it.

-Music/Anime scenes were removed due to licensing issues & not being able to get the rights to everyone.
Yes, everyone keep in mind that on the Tatsunoko side, the licensing in the U.S. was a huge quagmire and there needed to be a lot of deals worked out for this to make it over here. It'd have been more costly to Capcom if they wanted to retain those scenes. They are also remaining cautious about major endeavours these days after a few burns to the hand.

I've been thinking of playing Chrono Cross, though it sounds like it's as divisive in popularity as Final Fantasy XII was. There's also the whole thing with Magus/Guile (yeah, yeah, I know the story behind all of that already.)

Big Chrono Cross spoiler, so don't click unless you don't care:

I know no music plays during the final boss, but I love their choice of adding that song in, though it's pretty somber and calm for a final boss fight.

So, I hear the dialog for Zero's ending is an utter fanservice to the X Series fan. Without giving it away, to those who know... yes or no? :P

Honestly, I totally would have done it if I had ANY skill in the game at all.  Since I thought Lou had a better chance, I wanted him to do it.  He let me down worse than Jericho!

Posted on: January 24, 2010, 01:52:29 AM
Okay, now that I'm home, Lou and I got a chance to try SELECTURING OUR HEERO and battling online.  Now, I don't wanna lay out the jump to conclusions mat anytime soon, since the game hasn't officially been released yet, but here's my review of the Online...ahem...

IT. WORKS. [tornado fang]ing. FLAWLESSLY.

No lag.  No delay.  Nothing.  It worked exactly as we wanted it to, without ANY problems.  Maybe it was because Lou and I are some of the select few actually playing it right now, I don't know.  All I know is that I don't ever want it to change.  PB will be sad if it does!

Bonus points are that you cannot see which two characters your opponent is going to pick, and the stage select is random in deciding which person it chooses to honor.  It's so good.

Awesome. My team shall see you online soon then!

Try as I might, I cannot give enough of a damn to go back to Prime Trilogy. I boot up Prime (currently in Phendrana Drifts--at the start) and I don't really care to continue. I've not started Prime 2, largely because I dislike that one for being dull (though the atmosphere and the slight fear you get from Dark Aether wasn't too bad. Seems to have relied on this too much since without it, the game's just not the same) and in Prime 3, I'm right before Meta-Ridley on the first world because I'm trying to get all the tokens here--again.

I'm thinking of maybe just selling it off to someone who may find more enjoyment than I'm giving it (it sits on the shelf collecting dust) and just rebuy Prime 3 since it's pretty cheap right now. Also, Uncharted 2 is taking precedence over it, but that's behind finishing up some other titles on my queue.

Probably hugely late for this, but if Undersquare can do it, why not here?

Who decided to go crazy and re-sprite face graphics for icons?

- SF1 Dragon

- Zerker File

- Saurian side bro

And on Red Joker, I'm still packing the Django icon, with my Black Ace friend using a Sabata (original, not DS) one.

The better question is, did you get anything from OSS if you had EXE 1 slotted in?

The answer to that may likely be your answer here.

A game without Wily is like a game without Sigma.

Personally, I admire Wily's persistence and diligence. He still keeps going, even after so many ass kickings. That is true determination.

I can barely pull it off in Mega Man 9 because of Magma Man. I always screw up against him somehow.

The good news is though that Mr. Perfect can be pretty easy if you take your time, know what to expect and keep a W-Tank handy for the post boss rush fights. I wonder what the full in-game list is like. I do expect the obligatory five clears in a day.
