And thus we can safely say finally... Starforce is [tornado fang]ing dead.

Good riddance. Now get on X9, ZX3 or Legends 3, stat!

I don't see the point in jumping to this one yet. Perhaps after a price drop (snerk) or when more "solid" titles are released. Right now, I see no incentive to upgrade from the DS lite... or even a normal DS.

I would think the whole using Japanese cards thing is done since we're a few sets behind Japan. At the same time, they want to make absolutely sure someone doesn't bullshit to the other person what the card does due to lack of knowledge of Japanese.

Yeah, I know there's still the picture but Upper Deck, who I think handles the game now, is anal enough to just ignore that.

Honestly, it's better that you didn't spend the money.  I mean, I love YuGiOh and I don't regret playing it at all.  But [tornado fang], that was a nice chunk of change.  And it's not like was a regular tournament junkie, where I could at least try and get something back for my investment.  I just played for fun.

Well, it also didn't help matters that CCG Tournaments players are, in my opinion, the stinkiest gamers that exist.  I mean, there came a point where I couldn't be in Neutral Ground for more than a minute, the smell was so awful.

SOAP, [sonic slicer], THEY SHOULD USE IT!

Usually stinks like week old roadkill in those rooms.

Fill me in if my strategy is banned now:

Get a Lord of Dragons out on the field quickly (one of three), guard him somehow for one turn, then on the next turn, play two flute of summonings and break out three Blue Eyes and a Platinum Dragon #2. Provide necessary defense traps and magic should the opponent expect such a quick play. On a good game, the Platinum Dragon will shoot down their only monster, with the three blue eyes immediately going for a sweeping kill.

It'd be nice if it still work, but I remember seeing something about the whole game being "rebalanced" in that there's different rules and [parasitic bomb] to not only prevent this, but that are exploitable to make other cards badass.

Very convenient that the Saturn, PS1 and PS2 all use a similar power plug. Leads to less wires~

Sega's not done milking the brand for all its worth. With the losses Sega-Sammy Holdings just took, they're going to up their milking efforts.

Seeing as how my deck at the time focused on bringing out three Blue Eyes almost immediately for an instant sweep, I can't really speak of the game since I stopped playing some time after... I don't know. I don't remember the names. I just know it was sometime in early 2003.

Also...

Mario vs. Sonic Stadium is the natural successor to this... tennis, baseball, football etc.

Good to see they learned from their mistakes in PiT. The game felt so lackluster all around, I got to Shroob Castle and just didn't have the interest to finish the level and beat the final boss. It was so boring.

You'd like it to be a Starforce 4 or an EXE 7? :P

In a perfect world, the snowboarding in this game would be similar to how Snowboard Kids and Snowboard Kids 2 handled it, only probably a little faster (Snowboard Kids levels... more so in 2... tend to be a bit on the long side, though you're so busy trying not to be killed by the computer and performing awesome tricks that it doesn't feel too long.)

There was a small Green Hill Zone line toward the beginning. The majority of the song was Marble Zone, though.

Last I checked, Wii games usually went for $50... unless you're in another region. Also, beating up Mario was better in Brawl, due to Super Sonic tackling.

Largely, I'm keeping an eye on this one. If they can strike a good balance between normal events and dream events... or just make the whole thing dream events (which would be a much better move, IMO), this game should be much better than its original.

Oh, I get the joy of shooting down everyone again... at least as far as the song is concerned.

(loads shotgun)

The song is a remix by DrakeSword and SixtoSounds called Metamorphic Rock. All this "trailer" uses are various in-game clips from a German TV show.

Ergo, it's not in-game at all. However, you're more than welcome to download it and blast it over speakers if you wish.

Ruby's a wuss. Emerald can actually one hit kill, never mind the Underwater time limit factor... unless you're a [sonic slicer] and just use the Underwater Materia

Oh, and don't Knights of the Round/Bahamut Zero spam rush him.

Oh, certainly. The numbers are just an arbitrary rating, though from my understanding, something garnering a 32 or up on Famitsu is worth its salt. However, I'd be more interested in reading a translation on what the reviewers say. Anyone have a scan handy for the resident moonrune decoders?

I have a feeling he'll be in as a boss character. Silver has enough of a popularity (more than Tails... shocking, I know) that I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the story. At the same time, though, how Sonic will recognize him outside of making Rivals "continuity" (like the Mario series, Sonic's is very loosely defined to almost non-existent) remains to be seen.

You guys honestly didn't see Silver coming? He got a bit of a following from Sonic Next and has gained a few more from, of all places, the Archie comic in the current storyline.

Also, Bentley Jones, the guy who did Dreams of an Absolution in Sonic Next, confirmed he did a song for Sonic and the Black Night (likely a remix for Silver's theme), and will apparently be releasing it on his myspace sometime today or this week. Just a little tidbit for the music lovers out there.

Famitsu reviews in:

-Wii/PS2 version - 8/8/8/9 - 33/40 (apparently... need confirmation)
-360/PS3 version - 9/9/9/8 - 35/40

Now, you'll see reports of 8/8/8/9 - 33/40. That is from Famitsu 360, the one that mostly handles 360 titles. The one above is official Famitsu one.

Well... look at that. Bet you some part of the internet just broke out the flamethrowers.

I have a feeling it's a either a combination of Bowser, Fawful, or the return of Cackletta.

As much as I don't spend on games since a few years ago (mostly I get them from friends for PC, or on borrowed consoles), I'm gonna spend whatever it takes for me to buy Street Fighter IV on PC. :D
Try not to destroy the Internet too much. :P
