Iron Island for Special Defense, I believe.

Just beware of exploding Graveler.

Hmmm, Tales of VS? very interesting....

And a port of ToV? to PS3? with more stuff? skeptic, but if it's true... Hell Yeah!
It pretty much is. A lot of major outlets picked up the stories. I'm just waiting for official word it's making its way over the U.S.

Still, I'd have liked Flynn as a playable character more than a random new character. All he really needs is a bit of an attack speed up and he already has playable character data in-game. I guess I'm just used to having two sword users in a team (Lloyd/Zelos [or Kratos... usually Zelos], Guy/Luke [...sometimes Asch], and here, Yuri/Flynn.)

Thing is, depending on how this new girl plays, I may just leave her rotting away in the back of the party and stick with my usual team of Yuri, Estelle, Rita and Raven. They're a pretty sick combination there.

All I'm hoping is they don't fix Rita. Rita is the most broken mage in the entire series because her rapid cast, ability to fly/levitate, an even more broken Overlimit system than Abyss, and a triple threat of Tidal Wave, Gold Cat and Gravity Well. It's so damn easy to build grade, money, experience, and attribute points just by having her in your party.

I'm wary on it a little too on the Vesperia side since Patty's official art is VERY similar looking to Karol's. It may simply be due to being the same artist (see how Flynn and Guy from Tales of the Abyss somewhat resemble each other.)

A little more, but I can't get confirmation of this, on the PS3 version.

Aside from the obvious additions of quests, they're adding more event battles, such as making Flynn's lapdogs, Sodia and "Apple Head", fightable. They plan to give Repede more voice clips (...eh?) and apparently, there was something about second level Mystic Artes (...each character will get a new mystic arte or something, as well as some bosses.)

If this means Traitor to Heaven (Kratos) gets Divine Judgment alongside his already painful Shining Bind, it'll make him much more deadly. I also wouldn't mind the Colosseum getting team battle back. 1 vs 100/200 is pretty fun, but having the usual cameo team is a bit better.

From what I understand, Patty Fleur is the return of the Pirate class in the main game, packing a Gun and a Knife as a weapon and sub-weapon. Her back story is that she's looking for the Treasure of Aifread the Pirate. Seeing as we meet a girl somewhat like this in Torim Harbor, I wouldn't be surprised if she's from there.

As a side note: there a rumor circulating that because of this release, the European 360 version has been canceled, but Europe will be getting the PS3 version first. The source is Namco's Tales of forums, but given what today is, I'd take it with a grain of salt.

Also confirmed is the ToV movie, as mentioned, which is about Yuri and Flynn's time in the Royal Knights.

Tales of Graces looks really nice. I wouldn't mind seeing that one brought over since I felt Symphonia 2 was... underwhelming.

Tales of Vs. would be a fantastic U.S. release, but I don't know if they'll actually do it. It'd be a nice partner to Dissidia as a fighting game on the PSP.

...Patty Fleur? Who?

Flynn Schifo or bust. :|

LIGHT DRAGON... DESTRUCTION!!

It's pretty sad that of those three, we may only see Vesperia PS3 come on over.

I'm not looking forward to going through Victory Road. The encounter rates are annoyingly high in Mt. Coronet and Victory Road. Yeah, I could just buy repels...

We get one every year, so let's get the usual collective of April Fools you've spotted around the internets. I'll only throw in one, but damn it's worth it. Some MGS4 spoilers, if you're really anal about being unspoiled even almost a year later, so view at your caution.

Damn it, why don't we have Casting Theater in MGS4?!

Original / Re: Gotham's Mega Man Rush
« on: March 31, 2009, 08:09:15 AM »
Since I figured Gotham here would take forever to get through Rockman 2, I blasted right through it for him. It's funny because they made several of the bosses easier (they take more damage) so it's not really as hard as the original.

I look forward to his progress through Wily Tower, though when I first played it, I didn't find it hard at all. Having all the weapons at your disposal from the first three games certainly doesn't help this.

Will we be graced with a stream of the game? I'd like to see the magnitude of the brutality more than that one Japanese show did.

I love that Kojima always looks like he's giving a perpetual glare, like he's going to destroy you, your family, and everything you hold dear. Made the stand off even better.

Also, random Dude Huge.

And yet with all these creative ideas, it makes me wonder how the Mega Man hacking scene hasn't flourished like the Sonic one. I'd totally play a hack that looks like this.

...That said! Let's hope lightning strikes twice and we get an X9. Legends 3 would be a much more desired but still unobtainable alternative.

Gerald's twist worked for me. His granddaughter got shot and he snapped. Makes perfect sense as something to make him spiral into madness.

As for Shadow's death? Never mind the two are each at half power super forms, that Chaos Control had to really drain Shadow. Sonic's pretty much used to being Super in space. Shadow however isn't. Remember, he's the ULTIMATE life form, not the PERFECT one. He still has flaws.

Apparently, this game takes the dubious honor of being the worst Mega Man game ever made. Ironic that is spawns from what many consider to be the best Mega Man game ever made.

I imagine the flash memory in the Wii has at least a decent read/write number before it begins to go bad (or else I'm convinced Nintendo's crack team of tech monkeys are retarded as hell.) You shouldn't worry too much... just know the potential risk of using the feature a lot.

1094
They would pretty much need to restructure the internals of the system since the way its laid out now is a complete mess. You ever taken a look at it? You have to wonder what the hell their programmers are on. They don't even use four-decade-old functions like dynamic linking.

1095
This game has touch controls only again it seems. I'm not going to even bother with it. Too bad since the train idea looks nifty.

The storage solution deal is such a joke. Okay, cool, we can legitimately use up to 32GB SDHC cards... good stuff. However, the system still needs to install the game on the on-board memory to run it. Not much of a big deal, sure... except for one tiny thing.

The Wii uses 512MB Flash Memory for its internals.

Now, you may or may not know that Flash memory can only be written on so many times before it goes bad and fails. If you play a lot of VC/Wii Ware titles and thus use this feature a lot, you're pretty much ravaging the memory from all the writing when you load the game and then writing again when you stop the game so the system can delete it. I'm astounded Nintendo STILL can't even get something as basic as full reading of the SD Card right.

Oh well... at least the homebrew channel still works.

IE 8 takes up more RAM than Windows XP SP3.

Um... I think Microsoft might just be doing it wrong.

I'd love this to have an online mode. It looks simple enough that it could work better than Brawl (knock on wood.)

Plus, it'd bring a whole new level to RPM Punch Out.

True, once they get their money, a company doesn't really care much unless serious defects... ones that can trigger lawsuits... arise.
