It's too quiet on the Mega Man front, with only Starforce on the radar... and that's a pretty meh target.

1002
I chose Charmander in Gen I, Cyndaquil in Gen II, Didn't play Gen III aside from Leaf Green/Fire Red, in which case I chose Charmander, and in Gen IV, I chose Chimchar thinking he'd be pretty good, but ended up failing so hardcore, and I ended up choosing the leafy one in Platinum, which my memory is failing right now, so I can't remember his name...

BUT FOR SO LONG I HAD PICKED THE FIRE!
I am loyal to the fire unless it sucks monkey balls.

Chimchar failing? The hell is wrong with you? He can take out rock, steel dark and normal types with ease (Close Combat <3.) Blaziken is a weaker fire type aside from Sky Uppercut and I guess Blaze Kick.

I think they need to cool it down on the Legendaries. There's around 35 of them now, which is slowly nearing the 10% area. Diamond and Pearl really overdid it with the amount they introduced.

1004
There's quite a few pokemon that have been completely swept undertow while others like Tangela and Rhydon were given more evolutions. Pinsir could use a Scizor like evolution, for one. Tauros is pretty much doomed, Lapras, Kangaskhan, Hypno, Persian... there's still a lot of older mons that need some boosts.

PB: And then the God Eevee with all elements and that schools the crap out of Arceus?

1005
I don't care if they make three thousand pokemon, they better give Dunsparce an evolution. The poor thing's pretty much been crap since GSC. Farfetch'd could also use a good smack with the ol' Darwinian stick.

1006
Legendaries really aren't as hard to kill as everyone makes them out to be. Most of them have crippling flaws and any normal can take them out with a good fake-out strategy. I only use two or three legendaries on my team currently (Zapdos, Darkrai and Manaphy) with Infernape, Alakazam and Umbreon being the other usual three (but others are available I can switch to without warning.) No EV training going on here, so I'm sure someone who cares enough to do that garbage can easily dispatch my team... but oh my, how would they ever know if they're too cowardly and throw red flags because I don't play by their rules? It's a pitiful as when people complain that I pick a "banned" stage in Brawl or play with items/final smashes on. Just shut up and play the game.

Hypershell seems competent, I'm not, those other two guys I had matches with weren't either (Sorry guys!). I've got no clue about anyone else.

Setting up specific banlists just so pokemon that normally wouldn't be used have a chance to see the light of day seems like it's trying to encourage varied pokemon use to me, dude.
"Well, we're going great, got a good winning season, but I see I haven't played everyone on the bench. I'll just bench some of my better players to give the others that aren't so good a turn in the field! What could go wrong?"

Sounds like little-league management to me. I'll stick with one set of pokemon I like that are designed to complement each other, packing good strength, regardless of their "tier" position. If they don't like it, too bad. I've gotten so many disconnectors just because I sent out a Darkrai and began putting everyone to sleep for an unholy sweep. It's not like Darkrai's that much of a threat to begin with.

1008
Then what the hell are tiers for?
"You can only use certain pokemon in certain levels. If you don't then I won't play with you cause you're a stupid doo-doo head."

That in a nutshell.

1009
The tourneyfags already think that way.

Can we also throw in a story that doesn't make a person want to break their DS in two? I hated how Command amounted to really just being a furry fanfic between Fox and Krystal most of the time. Yeah, cool, we have a female in Star Fox (Second if you want to count Faye.) Why the hell do we need a love angle? Can't we just focus more on blowing up the alien menace without needing to flesh out some completely irrelevant angle? At least speaking of James McCloud, who has apparently since amassed a human form and is
(questionably) disco dancing at night clubs
because he can't beat Captain Falcon was relevant and interesting (for the most part.)

General / Re: Computer Problem Thread
« on: May 05, 2009, 10:41:57 AM »
Just updating on my issue, since it's now over and done with.

The new profile thing helped, but it brought up a whole slew of issues, like it'd do the freezing thing on Firefox's boot up or while going to look at my saved passwords. Boo. Anyway, I got the new Firefox update and ran it. The program froze on restart and screwed up Firefox permanently. So, it's time for the age-old solution: Uninstall without removing setting and clean install it. Problems all went away.

It still makes me wonder what was causing it. Bit rot maybe? This was a Firefox I ported over from my computer about five years ago and have updated constantly since.

1012
Well I knew that, hence why I was concerned more so about Star Fox, because the rate at which the games in that series comes out has been slowing down.

I just commented on Metroid because of the posts that brought it up. :P
Starfox needs a good boot in the ass to get it back to Starfox 64 standards. Command was painfully bad.

Sato: Boy, that Metroid Dread would be nice right about now. Shame it's apparently been axed/hit developmental purgatory.

I'll just leave this picture from Pokemon Sunday announcing an exclusive premier announce on next week's show here...

Need I say more?

Why have I not seen a Golden Sun micro game yet?

YOU'RE DISAPPOINTING ME, JAPAN. :|

That said, I think this is probably one of the best moves the series has made yet. I'll definitely give this a pick-up if it works on other DS' (and I don't see why it wouldn't.)

I'm just not a fan of not physically owning a game. I honestly prefer to have a physical copy of the stuff I own. With the way digital media works and can be controlled, it's a wonder who really owns it and how long will you be able to get it after the service shuts down. That's my largest problem with this revision.

And so, DZ has blown the minds of anyone who did understand that before.

The End.

Not sure about the 30th, but:

    *
Diamond Dust will fall at Snow point city

Go to Snow Point City during the 12th of January and you will see Diamond Dusts falling on the town. It is because of the birthday of Junichi Masuda, Gamefreaks Director and Composer of Pokemon Music.

This brings up a good question: What of the PSP owners that legitimately own games and want to use them on the new system? Are they screwed or is Sony going to set up a method to download them for free off the--

I'm sorry, I can't finish that sentence without laughing.

(Looks over list)

Mm-hm... mmm-hm... sliding screen, yep... mm-hm... no UMD support... mmm...

Well. Nice knowing you, PSP. Congratulations, Sony. You've managed to make something worse than the DSi.

I'm sure Gotham would look forward to this. He's been dying to get Melty Blood (or something akin to it) going ever since his laptop went kaput.

My mind can't help but feel this game will be so incredibly bad, it may actually be playable.

Someone send Vixy a PS3 or something so she can stream it!

Just wondering on Crisis Core: all pack ins and stuff, no?
