Original / Re: Why did Wily betray Dr. Light?
« on: August 20, 2009, 10:27:32 AM »
Dr. Wily betrayed Dr. Light because Dr. Light canned him after making Rock. He was replaced by a robot! Enraged, Dr. Wily steals all the robots--except Rock and Roll because they didn't have any world domination weapons.

Wait, that's Mega Man Theater. Sorry.

I thought that Twilight Princess was graphically really good, but I played the GameCube version. I don't own a Wii. Probably never will because I hate the motion-sensing gimmick. It probably would have been a different story if Nintendo hadn't released it unfinished and broken.

Anyway, Twilight Princess was probably the most graphically-pleasing game on the GameCube. I was surprised when I first popped in the game. Everything was so pretty. Not saying the Wind Waker didn't have its charms too, but it's a different charm. The Wind Waker's style made the game feel more whimsical and fun, while Twilight Princess's style brings life to the rather dark plot. That's just my two cents.

How do they not make Aang Chinese when he has a Chinese name?

Anyway, I've looked this up previously and if I remember right, this is going to be a trilogy. I'm guessing a movie for Water, Earth, and Fire.

Tell her I said hi~ :cookie:
Same here. It's been a while since I heard from her.
Hi.

Itīs grey not gray
It's the same thing. Just different spellings. Just like honor and honour. Same thing. Gray is the American way of spelling it and grey is the UK version.

Edit: Oh, yeah, the topic. I find it hilarious that 4Kids loves to bash the fans of the shows it licenses. Not only do they re-write the series horribly, but when they provide the Japanese versions of the shows unedited, they don't provide their fans with any subtitles so they can enjoy them. This is my interpretation of this action by 4Kids:

4Kids: So you want Yu-Gi-Oh! in Japanese and unedited? Okay, sure! Good luck understanding it. *flips everyone off*

Oh, I forgot to mention that Goku turns out to be Piccolo's servant. In his Ouzaru form, he loses control and only obeys Piccolo. This annoyed me a lot.

Just watched it... I have to say that it wasn't as bad as I was expecting--but I was expecting it to be worse than you can imagine, so that isn't saying very much.

We'll start positive. There were some things that remained intact. Roshi is still a pervert. He takes any opportunity to grab Bulma, just like in the manga. >>; Goku doesn't transform into a deformed half-dragon in a Holloween mask, he actually does turn into an ape monster thingy. This form is called Ouzaru, just like in the manga, but he doesn't become massive. Yamucha is still a bandit.

The bad aspects will mostly be what you'd expect. Crappy, cheesy effects. Crappy acting--especially by Chatwin. Everyone seemed to be thinking the same thing while filming: this movie sucks. And it shows in their performance. Most of the actors give a half-assed attempt at trying to play their roles. Ever tried to play a game based on a movie and everyone sounds like they're bored? Yeah... There's a lot of that in this movie. In the movie, Nameks are considered a hostile alien race. Piccolo was certainly hostile, but not all Nameks are. Even though Goku transforms into an ape, like he's supposed to, it still looks like all they did was put him into a Holloween costume. The effects for ki are really cheesy. And...the Kamehameha can heal people? I don't think so. All the Kamehameha does is blow crap up. That's it.

I'm glad I downloaded this over going to see it in the theater. I would have wanted my money back. Not even being a Dragon Ball fan would make me want to see this movie again.

Anime & Manga / Re: Kiddy Girl-and...wtf?
« on: March 17, 2009, 05:10:16 PM »
I don't mind pink hair, myself, but I have to agree here. I think they're sacrificing originality for something that's easier to produce--meaning cheaper. It's easier for animation artists to go faster if the characters generally look about the same. Making the other girl less loli and look like a generic anime girl is...cheaper in the literal sense.

private server for flyff.. kinda silly if you ask me.. oo;
I think the official game is silly. Who wants to grind for literally months to to achieve a single level up? In the same amount of time on Fly For Fame, you could have multiple Level 120 Heroes. oo;
