But but, what about us people who bought their Wii when the 360 & PS3 were more expensive? D:

Also games.
Games is a better explanation. There's...nothing on PS3. It's like a wasteland of a system. Anything that strikes my interest on the 360 gets released on PC too and I buy that version. Only the Wii has ever struck my interest and now that MotionPlus is coming out, I'm actually considering getting it again.

A Wii here [in the United States] is $250. The cheapest version of a 360 is only $200, while the most expensive version is $400. A PS3 is $300. The 360 is both the cheapest and most expensive system, depending on which version you're buying. The Wii, despite everyone claiming how much cheaper it is, isn't very much cheaper than the other consoles. Conclusion: price isn't an issue here, it's just being used as a flimsy excuse.

Half & half here. I was more of a Nintendo advocate pre-Gamecube era due to their games' consistency and me being too young to buy my own consoles. Sometime during last gen though something clicked and I started branching out everywhere and anywhere I could. Now, I'm just a gamer with a slight tilt towards Nintendo.

Also money. These things ain't cheap ya know. XD
Yeah, the Wii is cheaper, but only very slightly. It's still way too expensive for my liking.

EXE / Re: Getting Passed the Third Game

I have tried to "force my way through it." I just lose my will to go on. I get to the N1, which is a tournament or something, and the game just slows down to a crawl. It's very annoying.

For some reason, every time I try to play through this series I putter out about halfway through the third game. I just can't get passed it. The first and second games were pretty good, but I can't help but finding the third boring. Am I alone here?

Wow... So many people have a DS and a Wii. Barely anyone has a PS3. I'm guessing most people here are Nintendo lovers? Or does it have more to do with the games?

Legends 3 and ZX3 will both come out five years from now on the Nintendo MP (Money Printer).

How old is your computer that you don't have an ethernet port? Mine is three years old and it has one. Your connection must suck too because internet via USB is slow.

Best stay away from me then, my curse knows no bounds.
I can break a computer without even being in the same room as it.
Like my bad luck has learnt to how travel through the interwebs.

EDIT : Tech enthusiast? Holy [tornado fang] no, I'm far from that!
It doesn't necessarily mean you're good with technology. It only means you have a curiosity for it. You're willing to try out technology and different operating systems. All that jazz.

And all the girls would agree with you. 8D

I've used all sorts of different Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
Right now I'm running Mandriva One Spring 2009.
(In the past I've used Ubuntu 8.10, Kubuntu 8.10, Sabayon Linux 4, and Fedora 10)
Windows 7 won't work anymore, it went through an RC update and blue screened, so I can't use it, makes me sad. :C
Other then those, I like good ol' Windows XP.

I haven't used Mac in a long long time though.
The Rad! I didn't know you were a tech enthusiast.

What are the most common operating systems that you use? These can include the ones that you use at school and at work, not just at home.

At the moment, I use Windows 7 at home and also Windows XP. At school, I use Windows Vista and Mac OS X Leopard.

Gaming / Re: What got you into gaming?

I played a lot of games when I was a kid, but honestly those weren't the games that made me become a gamer. When I was a kid, I played games pretty much only when I was bored. They were filler.

I didn't truly get into gaming until high school. I hadn't really played any games for a few years and then one of my friends recommended that I play Ocarina of Time. I borrowed his N64 and his copy of Ocarina of Time and fell in love. I got my own N64 the next Christmas and the rest is history.

I'm a huge Sonic fan, so this is painful to say but...I honestly don't know how Sega stays in business. Like Hypershell said, their horrible game design is not exclusive just to Sonic games. Any games they're in charge of turn out to be crap. They rush their games before they have been properly tested and debugged. They cut corners in maps and coding. This is exposed during normal gameplay with wonky cameras, poor physics, and a horrendous amount of clipping errors. This started as far back as the Dreamcast days, but it's only gotten worse as time went on.

Well, if it's like that, it isn't as big of a problem. At least I know how it works now.

It attaches to the bottom of the Wii-Remote where the Nunchuck normally connects
I see. So does it have another connector at the bottom of it for the nunchuk?

Ah, no, it works with whatever Wii Remotes you have available currently. WSR has one packed in, as do the other titles I mentioned earlier.
Then what is it? A new sensor bar or something?

No sadly. Which is why I'm really hoping more people come on board and star making some wacky stuff using it.
I thought that MotionPlus required buying new stuff--like new Wiimotes and stuff... If that's true, then it not being backward compatible kinda sucks.

In my opinion, very [tornado fang]ing yes. XD

The leap in quality is very noticeable and real. Thing about it is, currently the only games of note that are using it are two EA Sports titles (Tiger Woods 10 Wii & Grand Slam Tennis) and Wii Sports Resort. Out of those 3 I can only recommend WSR just because of the diversity. It might however be a hit or miss for some folk because of the brevity of the gameplay if you don't intend on playing it regularly.
Is MotionPlus backward compatible?

Yeah, that's the one with MotionPlus.
Does MotionPlus make that big of a difference? One of my biggest beefs with the Wii was the shoddy motion-sensing.

There's so much I want to say to you people for supporting those terrible games but I just can't bring myself to care
I usually remain neutral until I play a game for myself. But, hey, people play a lot of bad games and they remain popular. Any EA sports game, Wii Sports, Halo 3...
