The thing is I do not want Squall to voiced by who ever it was that voiced him KH@ and I wish they brought back Boreanaz as Squall but that is only a dream I suppose. Anyway, I wonder if Kefka will be voiced by the same guy who did the Joker in the animated series that is if he can pull off the Kefka laugh!

« on: December 12, 2008, 06:16:34 PM »Hey guys, looks like Dragon Quest might just be the one series that could appeal to both Western and Eastern markets with Iwata's latest idea to push the series in both markets.
Article here. What I find interesting about this development is the fact that for a good while now, Nintendo has wanted an RPG series that would rival the popularity of DQ in Japan & Final Fantasy worldwide. Now, they have the goose that lays the golden eggs and they seem quite content on making sure it delivers it's best. My, how times change.
So basically... Nintendo and SE join to make EVEN MORE SHITLOADS of money. This will be most interesting for Square Enix, with their financial future secured... they might move their focus away from FF and try reviving older games and franchises. Unlikely, but I enjoy the dream.

And since Metal Gear Solid 5 has already been hinted at and they used the major symbols from both MGS and MGA on the site with a new symbol, this is probably a new series.
I'd welcome that. For a change.
