I still want ZX3.

Is Inti really gonna give us a cliffhanger like that? ZX3 could be released by now, do you even realize that?

ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE ROOF BURSTS OPEN, AND A MYSTERIOUS BEING JUMPS INTO THE RING. ITS MIGHTY FEET CRUSH YOUR OPPONENT, HE NEVER HAD A CHANCE. AS THE DUST GROWS THINNER, YOU SEE A MUSCULAR BODY STANDING TALL AND PROUD IN FRONT OF YOU. YOU GAZE IN AWE AS YOU NOTICE THE MYSTERIOUS MAN IS WEARING A HELMET, COVERING HIS FACE.

YOU FINALLY REALIZE: YOUR FINAL OPPONENT IN NONE LESS THAN THE LEGENDARY CAPTAIN DOUGLAS FALCON!

NOW STAND AND FIGHT! SHOW HIM YOUR MOVES!

I thought the Bruiser Bros. were a parody of the Klitschko Bros.? Anyway, I would like to see them return.

Or make another famous Nintendo character the boss. Like Wario. That would be amazing.

Justice's only appearance as the canon boss.

I-No can be a pain too with her sodomizing, screen-filling, health-robbing, can-use-any-time-special though. But she's not nearly as bad as Justice.

Oh well I heard Order Sol was up there too, but I can't confirm that due to a lack of experience.

Here's a nice video

That's one of Japan's best Eddie players, fighting a Level 999 Golden Order Sol (survival mode). First he seems to be winning, and he's doing well. Then Sol gets his comeback...

--------

And here's Justice as the final boss of the original Guilty Gear (PSX).

I was referring to the horribly abuse of the word, which was the reason the filter was put in the first place. If you want to read your favored 'epic' just turn the filter off.

Better question: Why do you people use that word so much? Everything's epic epic epic epic epic epic. Rendering that term completely meaningless.

The filters are easily avoidable, if you don't like it, use another word.

Swap sprites and tiles and you have the game of the year.

OK, so the final boss in the original was Mike Tyson. Can't be brought back due to licensing issues. All that's left would be a parody of a famous boxer.

Any ideas?

I beat her with Sol. No tricks. I just kept fighting and fighting until I beat her. Rejoice, it's great training. You'll be better once you're done.

Do tell, did you suffer through two whole Gamma Rays? I did. That's nasty.

Gaming / Re: Savestates ruin gaming experience?
« on: March 20, 2009, 12:56:29 PM »
If you feel bad about save states, then the idea is to ignore them. ;)

This is the right idea. Savestates can take the  dangerous tension you feel before facing something ridiculiously hard, but they're entirely optional. It's not like the game forces you to use them.

Anyway, I use them too. There's nothing to be ashamed about.

Gaming / Re: Best combat system of an action game?
« on: March 18, 2009, 02:42:38 PM »
Everybody knows that fighting games like Street Fighter, KoF and Guilty Gear have the best combat system. Because the focus lies entirely on fighting.

Bring a action game with a combat system like that and you have a fantastic game.

So far, DMC is still the best.

DMC1 had the most awkward controls.
DMC2 was slower than turd.
DMC3 pretty much got it right.
DMC4 solidified the system of DMC3.
