I'm actually pretty interested in the Scramble battle thing for Pokemon, I've always wanted to play as the little buggers themselves and kick all sorts of ass without shouting orders, and it's pretty awesome to be able to play as Weavile, Lucario, or Garchomp and rip [parasitic bomb] apart with them (I would have loved Blaziken to be in there, but alas, he was 3rd gen and not 1st or 4th).

Wait, what's this with Lunar Silver Star something or another? I took a look and wondered what the two series could share and while I do get some kind of connection (lunar= moon, like the opposite of the sun and silver being the common opposite of gold), I've never actually played the series (pretty much because I never saw the game ever), so what are these theories about now?

As for the whole descendant thing, that would actually help in eliminating the data transfer thing and it's quite possible the whole Djinn list could be completely redone in either sense of the definition (redone as in copy/pasted from the other two or redone as in completely different).

As far as the plot goes, my question is what the heck is going to happen to that one guy who sort of stole the spotlight from the second game as far as being a big-bad goes (the one that was the Water Adept's brother or something from the first game)? When they left off, he was talking with the giant floating eyeball and found out his xanatos gambit was known by floating eye-guy and he made his own xanatos gambit around the whole thing to prevent the guy from being the closest thing to god.

Ok, since a third Golden Sun game HAS been announced and shown, the immediate question for me (after I was done going "yay") is how they're going to handle the other two games in the series. What I mean is this: in GS2, you could import your character data and whatnot into the second game so that when you hit that point, you could get the characters and Djinn in the game just like you had them before and continue on your marry way. With a third game in the series on the DS, I figured they would have it so that if you had the second game in the GBA slot, you could do the same thing, as long as you beat the game (sort of like what they did with Pokemon on the DS, just have the character in a certain position and fulfill certain requirements and the data would be transferred from that point). This pretty much just assumed that they would do something like that (bringing over the data), but I saw that in the video, the game was being played on a DSi, which doesn't have a GBA slot. This begs the question: are they going to go ahead and have data transfer or not? If so, why would they show it on the DSi? That sort of implies that Nintendo is trying to do away with the DS Lite much like what they did with the DS before. Are they going to have it implement a virtual GBA system or something, and tweak it or so?

Or in short, have they just shown the game is there and said nothing else and I wasted my time typing up all that crap for no reason even for myself?

Milon's Secret Castle 8D

That's a balls-to-the-wall hard game there. Try to get past the first level without using a guide, I DARE you muthafucker*. God knows what the developers could do if they were able to work with 3D o.o

*I'm talking about first runs too.

Was that the Pirates of the Caribbean theme playing in the begining?
I wonder if someone would make a youtube video with a Wailord following them?

Even better, Kyogre. "Sorry guys, just takin' my pet Lord of Rain out for a walk, you'll have to excuse the sudden typhoon".

Both are correct.  The metagame will change since the moves change, but it'll always remain the same: A bunch of incessant whining about which way is the "proper" way to play.

I'll accept that >0<

Platinum may have handed out Outrage to his competitors, but it also gave Dragonite Superpower.  When the only thing you can't STAB Outrage into oblivion is Steel, that's not something to be overlooked.

There's still EQ to handle Steels, as well as Fire-type attacks. Superpower just forces Dragonite to either switch or constantly use Dragon Dance, so I wouldn't say that's a good thing <.<

Still hoping we'll see the return of Extremespeed Dragonite, though, but seeings how they already said FU to Crystal with the whole female player shpiel, I'm not all that hopeful.  We'll see.  Either way, I'm buying this game.  G/S music remixes and any Pokemon following you is just too damn awesome to pass up.

Odds are it'll be an event pokemon about 6 months after the game gets released, if they don't put it in there.

I'm so lenient, I say you can consider any stories that don't contradict each other too harshly to be part of some "canon", and in the end, who cares what the authors originally wanted?

The fans and the author, perhaps? <_<

They did have a nice jazz like beat to them when you fought enemies though.

I liked the stages, but honestly the music was annoying and repetitive, and it was the same music EVERY time too.

On that same note, though, I'm not sure I can entirely blame BioWare for Sonic Chronicles. Yeah, the gameplay needed some work but with the music and graphics at a loss and a time deadline incoming, I'm not sure if there were some other parties messing with the entire game's production.

They have enough people that they can work on the music and the gameplay at the same time. When your game uses music that sounds worse than a ring tone, you've done something horrible.

Back on topic now, does anyone else really want to know exactly what kind of graphical style this Zelda's gonna take? I am really hoping they cel-shade the Twilight Princess-esque art style that they showed off and made it seem more fantastic than even Wind Waker's charming visuals.

Knowing Nintendo, they'll keep it like Twilight Princess, just maybe a graphical overhaul since TP used what the GC was capable of doing.

Swap Magic is said to work really well. Can't talk from experience though.

The only disadvantage would be that you have to use it everytime you start or change a game.

Every. Single. Time.

I think the slide hook tool sort of negates this, since it isn't physically modding your PS2 at all, just breaking apart the front end of the loading tray which can come off anyway naturally and then ripping the tray out without hitting the button. If you want to actually play a game that doesn't need it, you wouldn't have to use it.

Never tried it, but I would be willing to once I got the freaking money ><

About the right hand and Link being left hand.

Ya know, when you swing left, Link can like, ya know, swing left?

Is it THAT HARD?

Eh, I think it would feel a bit awkward for some people, just seeing him swing with his left hand when most people in the states are right handed. Odds are someone would probably get into a situation of some sort and start swinging their left hand which causes Link to do his spinning thing...you know what, screw it, there isn't a reason. There's an attack for flailing around both the nunchaku and the Wiimote, so even if you freaked out and shook the left hand, Link would do an attack and make you realize "oh, wrong hand", and I doubt it takes THAT long to realize the concept of "swinging the wiimote makes him swing the sword" anyway.

Google it 8D

Seriously though, I think the SwapMagic tool that (I'm guessing) is the slide hook or whatever, is probably you're best bet. It's fairly easy to remove the disc tray thing that's facing outwards or whatever, and it pops back in place as well, meaning the process shouldn't be too hard.

He's more palsy with Ace though, and if they get Ace out of there, then I doubt Jimbei would want to join up with a pirate who may end up fighting Ace. Plus, he can control water, which pretty much owns Ace two fold--water canceling his fire, and water canceling his powers period. Too much of an unbalanced fight, so I doubt the author would have Jimbei join up.

I have to wonder who's going to join the Strawhats next. I get a feeling that after this, Luffy's gonna ask either Bon Clay or Bugsy, maybe both (I don't see the candle guy joining or the 'sharp man' and DEFINITELY not Crocodile).

grr I wanna play FF7. A friend of mine's fiance picked up a copy of it for her for Xmas and when I go out to their wedding I'm gonna make him take me to the store he got it from ><

I'd play FF9, but as fun as it was, it did get a bit tedious. I couldn't stand 8 either. I didn't really get the whole junction thing, but I didn't like any of the characters or anything. On a rather interesting note, they apparently gave Selphie underwear when fighting. The camera was turning around in it's usual fashion, and I paused the game for some reason (toilet, mom called, I dunno) and when I came back to the tv, I saw Selphie panties just starin' at me XD

You know what I'm expecting? Move tutors that are going to end up changing the meta game AGAIN and send the whole thing into chaos. Think about it, Platinum sent Scizor straight to the OU and several others into the UU or lower, and Dragonite was no longer the only one that could do Dragon Dance AND Outrage, so it pretty much gave it the middle finger even moreso. They'll probably do something else as well, probably give several Pokemon that couldn't learn Dragon Dance or Mach Punch before those moves, and god knows what else.

gah, I couldn't stand FF4 really. I played the one on the DS, but holy crap, in order to get those augments you have to have a freakin' guide before it. Even without taking into consideration the whole Augment thing, the story just seemed lacking and they just killed off too many characters, and didn't have anyone stay until the very freaking end, and by that point, I just didn't give two shits.

It looks like the new area in the video is called, "Shinto Iseki"... I don't know what Shinto translates to (if anything... God, maybe? Some with better moonrune knowledge help me here. :P) but the latter is obviously Ruins.

Wikipedia to the rescue:

Shinto (神道, Shintō?) is the name ascribed to the non-Buddhist religious practices of Japan. The word Shinto ("Way of the Gods") was adopted from the written Chinese (神道),[1] combining two kanji: "shin" (神?), meaning gods or spirits (originally from the Chinese word shen); and "tō" (道?), or "do" meaning a philosophical path or study (originally from the Chinese word tao). The terms Kami no michi and kannagara can also be used and the meanings are very similar.

I meant because the Anime is far lacking in the department which you complain about- Its all about fanservice and screw the story I've got white hair.

Yeah, I wouldn't give two shits about it then. I like fanservice as much as the next guy, but there has to be a certain amount of it without going completely overboard with it.

Been over this before.

Time Bomb always slows time, but the game proceeds at the player character's perception whether you're on the giving or receiving end of it.  So, in effect, Chronoforce Time Bombs and you perceive it as him moving like a madman.

And yes, Expert Mode Chronoforce is perhaps the most aggravating boss ever outside of a few pause-trick-less MM1 psychos.

So in effect I was right?

I thought chronoforce could slow down time as well when you fought him.

Quite honestly no, if I'm not caring about the manga, I doubt I'd care about the anime.

Nope, you must "talk" to the Pokemon in order to get the item it holds in Amity Square.
So, it holds on to it until you "talk" to it, just like Pickup.

I think Pickup just lets the Pokemon hold on to it, but I don't know if the Pokemon actually holds onto the item like in Amity square though. I never bothered going there, so I don't know if they have an actual physical hold on the item like with Pickup.
