Nyarlathotep-kun?

The main female lead.

I found these at the used game store:

There was a Tak and the power of Juju with a rather dumpy looking Tak but I forgot to take a photo of it.

Theme Park World- first level being happy-go-lucky normal theme park [parasitic bomb], second level and later being the underground with the mechanical stuff with clockwork Koopa and other robotic stuff coming to life and attacking.
Boss is an angry Koopa Manager who throws office supplies and park souvenirs at you.

Poop world.

How immature.

How about Wire world, with bouncy wires and electricity and [parasitic bomb].

Maybe the site detected too many requests for the image with an external or unapproved referral URL(AKA Hotlinking).

That or the site's hosting itself is just flaky.

Sadpanda is usually pretty reliable.

Somebody must've posted something on a site with high traffic so their servers overloaded.

Anyway, the Anime is "Haiyore! Nyaruko-san", which can pretty much be described as "Hey, lets take Lovecraft and turn them into moe aliens"

More NES screen pixel filter stretchiness, cover your eyes! XD

Ick, its not like the screen resolution of the NES is bigger than the 3DS resolution, right?

FLCL is coming in to replace Ghost in the Shell after its run finishes up.

Not exactly a big deal since it has also been run to death, but its only 6 episodes, so chances are its just a placeholder for the slot, which they will probably use to re-run Deadman once it wraps up. No clues to what the next new series they will air is.

Samurai 7 heads to Toonami August 18th after Deadman Wonderland finishes.

Not exactly Toonami related but Deadman Wonderland hits US DVD October 9th.

Bebop is out (finally). Eureka Seven returns next week at 1:30.

Posted on: August 12, 2012, 08:13:33 PM
I'm kind of the only one in this thread anymore, but I guess I can put out a few updates.

Starting October 6th Toonami expands to 6 hours, dropping the repeat block, though it just appears this will be used for hour-long blocks of FMA:B, GitS, and Bebop at the moment.
Once this begins Toonami will also start showing Sym-Bionic Titan and 2011 Thundercats as a way to diversify the block, making these the second and third CN series to be shown during the [as] hours (The first being Clone Wars.)

I'm still a little disappointed the Code Geass costumes got completely taken out of the Eng. version.

Still wondering why that even happened since it was fine legal wise.
Same deal with the .Hack and Idolmaster costumes.

Maybe they thought nobody would notice.

Hi~

The only part that poses any challenge is the 45 minute speed run, it's very tough. ^^;

Oh I love Bastion! A lot~ Instant favorite~ <3

Now vix we all know you're a certified goddess of gaming.

Hi there. I'm not a speedrun junkie and I love Super Meat Boy.

Hey I'm just saying I can't imagine the game being fun. I understand lots of people do find it fun and that's cool. I just want the game to run slower so I can play it.
I did beat the old Meat Boy that was released in the basement collection though, that game legitimately sucked, but I blame flash for that, since there's no way the controls can be that unresponsive that often normally.

EDIT: okay its not so bad when i'm not playing Dark World levels.
Those are [tornado fang]ing crazy.

It's OK guys, there're plenty of easier games for you guys to never beat. Don't wish ill on those actually challenging us. lrn 2 practice

I'm sorry, but when did I say I didn't want challenge?
I said I didn't want indie games with no accounting for, y'know, FUN.
Super Meat Boy, its got good music and nice graphics, but its not fun, just hard, I can't imagine this game being fun for anybody except the people it panders to (Which would be Speedrun junkies.).
Braid was tough at times, but it was fair.
Bastion was wonderful, easy at times yet you had the option of making the game harder by invoking the gods, it was fun because it didn't expect the player to be perfect at everything.

There's a difference between challenge and fake challenge.
Challenge is hard while being fair.
Fake challenge is hard while also being unfair.

I'm a decent gamer, there's plenty of games I enjoy and I have beaten a lot as well.
I'm also have a life, so I cannot fathom wasting my time playing a game I cannot enjoy just to get slightly better at them.
I gotta say i'm thankful I got the games for free though, since I would've never paid money for them. Love how Humble Bundle adds games to the existing bundle, still got a few to play.
wa2bcondescending.

So by means hacking Super Meat Boy to balance it out? That would be intresting considering how nigh-impossible it is to mod an xbox game from the inside. It's why the PC TF2 is superior than the console relese.

Uhh, I was talking about the PC version.
I don't own an Xbox.

So you want a nintendo hard game that requires 5000 hours of practice in order to beat? Only inhuman monsters can play such games..

Uhh no.

That's what I don't want.

I want games that don't require Pixel-Perfect platforming all the [tornado fang]ing time.

Which game devs are you referring to? I mastered a few.

Not really devs, but i'm mainly reffering to Super Meat Boy (Twitchy as all [tornado fang], controls are slippery, plays too fast, [tornado fang]ing rankings) BIT.TRIP.RUNNER (Pixel Perfect jumps even in the first world, one hit sends you back to square [tornado fang]ing one in the level you're in., I swear there was a spring that didn't let me get two pieces of gold and chances are if I had tried to use it a second later the game would've just ignored the button press like it does if I don't hit the spring at THE PRECISE MOMENT.)

VVVVVV had some tough [parasitic bomb], but at least they were kind enough to give you checkpoints almost the entire time, and they had cheats to let people who suck at such games (Like me) to at least see the entire thing.

If I ever want to get Super Meat Boy done I'm going to have to get the game to run at half speed while also miraculously making the controls respond better.

Room for error is a good thing, its how some people can play video games at all.

Zelda 2 was hard as hell, especially at the great temple. I eventually beat it, no restore points, no cheats. Just practice.
same with NES Megarockman games, especially the first one. It took a while but I again managed to beat it, no cheats, no savestates, nothing.
With these damn indie games I want to use cheats just because of how unfair they are right off the bat (To be fair I did beat the first Meat Boy world, right off on the second one it got too difficult.)

I want indie game devs to stop developing games requiring so much pixel perfect precision that they are clearly intended to only be played by robots with perfect reflexes.

9791
Are Game Boy Advance games not officially supported?  Because those colors look rather washed-out.  Then again, so did the Famicom game graphics... but those at least had the "Virtual Console" message on the bottom.  o_o

Its just Nintendo's rushed GBA emulator for the Ambassadors.
It doesn't have the features of the other VC games.

9792
More testing. With a Famicom game.

Download the images, view them at 200% (or higher) with MS Paint or other non-filtering image software and you will see some "shocking" pixelations. XD

It does minor anti-aliasing?

My question is, which games should I play? If they're on gamecube/pc/wii/ps2/psx/dreamcast and ps3 then I should be able to play them. But with ps3 it might take me some time, because I would need to well... buy them first... instead of, ya know.

I also haven't played RE (I've watched people play, but that's not the same), but I can safely tell you what games are on what consoles.

Resident Evil 1 is on the PSX, PC, Saturn, and DS. The remake is on the Gamecube and I guess the Wii too as of recently.
RE 0 is on GCN and Wii.
RE 2 is on GCN, Dreamcast, N64, PSX, and PC (Windows 9x based systems, so it won't work with modern hardware.) with PSN release.
RE 3 is on the same consoles minus the N64. Apparently the GCN version is pretty bare-bones.
Code Veronica is on DC, PS2, GCN and PSN.
RE 4 is on everything since Capcom has such a hardon over it (GCN,PS2,PC,PSN,etc.)

That's the mainline games, best bet is to use the PS3 or Dreamcast with switchoffs to GCN for 1 and 0.

I'd probably get into the games if it weren't for all the Pre-rendered fixed angles craziness. And i'm not in the mood for TPS games anymore so 4/5/6 are out for me.

Though, is there any value to them? I'm sure you can sell them off.

Probably not.
They go to the recycling bin.
I'm keeping issue #200 though.
At least now I have room for my Anime, which opened up more room for my Games.

15th=BN3, Anniversary Collection, Network Transmission, X7
20th=SF1

IIRC at least.

ftfy, at least those are the games that came out within the time period to have the "Anniversary" insignia on them.

Being a mail carrier is one of the most grueling jobs ever. The most walk-intensive job there is. They burn through sneakers incredibly fast. It's a somewhat thankless job too. People seem to take it for granted. And with the advent of email and all that, with post offices closing left and right, many of them hire less workers and instead have them run longer routes. I would know, I have a mail carrier in the family. It' not an easy job by any stretch of the imagination. I think they are entitled some slack on that front.

funfact, also: in Florida, Mail carriers almost never leave their vehicle and almost never walk, due to the extreme heat. So Post Boxes are required to be in a specific spot on the sidewalk.

I get that they can have a tough job, really, I do. There's no way it can be easy delivering mail.
But honestly when they don't even give the effort to try and deliver packages and just put the slip in the box that's just aggravating, I wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't heard it.
I hear this happens with areas with apartments, where they don't bother to attempt delivery of packages because they would have to buzz people down or something.
