Hell, if you just rent it you'll pretty much own it.

It screws over GameStop.
That's literally the only plus.

No backwards compatibility, and just to keep you from getting your hopes up, no used games either.

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/407912/microsoft-confirms-pre-owned-fee-for-xbox-one/

Basically, each game disc will be tied to an individual XBL account, and if someone buys it off you used, they have to pay a fee to get it to work.

Someone play me a dirge for Microsoft, will you?

So they did it after all.

Congrats Microsoft, your dedication to screwing consumers over is going to kill your system.

Hell, this also kills Rentals AND Borrowing games from friends.

The Mini is Canada/Europe only I think.

The other one is basically the same but is missing the Gamecube ports.

The old Wii at least; if I recall correctly, the slim model ditched GameCube support. :(

They look the same though, the Mini and the 2011 hardware revision are the ones that have no Gamecube support.

Not to mention if you keep your Wii it'll essentially be your GameCube.

A PC makes a better Gamecube than a Gamecube or Wii (Most of the time at least).

Yeah... this is just terrible.

You look at the people in front, nobody's clapping or anything.

Just the people in the back.

They're apparently Microsoft Employees.

Second-Screen Integration? So Wii U?

We just SAW the CoD Ghosts Premiere. Stop coming back to it.

I thought the PS4 conference was pretty good. It actually showed a decent amount of games, including that awesome looking Deep Down.

Yeah, that's true, but it wasn't without its goofiness.

Oh, guess that was it.

[tornado fang] you Microsoft.

http://www.theverge.com/2013/5/21/4350662/new-xbox-has-no-backwards-compatibilty
AND NO BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY TO BE HAD.

Can't wait till all the 360's in the world die out and nobody can ever play those games again.

People said PS3 had No Games

People said Wii U had No Games

No, Xbox One has NO GAMES.

More Activision Self-Indulgence.

This is like the Old Man thing with the PS4.

Whee, AI, Whee, Fancy Graphics.

This is just... magical, thank you Microsoft for making the PS4 Announcement look good compared to this.

Hey guys, you forgot to show the 13-year olds that play CoD.

"We could do the safe thing but we did the right thing."

"New Next Gen CoD engine"

Don't kid yourself, its going to be the same as every other Call of Duty.

Its like they're not sure they're supposed to be talking about a Game Console and are instead talking about everything else.

Wait, is that it?

"Later This Year" Yeah, we kinda [tornado fang]ing figured.

Oh yeah DLC for Call of Duty on Xbox, paying $15 for three Maps.

I don't care about Call of Duty, go away Activision Devs.

6966
Oh come on we already talked about [tornado fang]ing TV.

Are you going to talk about Star Trek next?

If I wanted a watercooler I'd get a watercooler, not an Xbox. You can't put water in an Xbox.

Oh hey halo, You're looking... the same as ever.

Here's some more person plugging stuff that's not what they're supposed to be talking about.

Oh, never mind. This is about a [tornado fang]ing Halo TV show... By SPEILBERG? The [tornado fang]?

This is just... sad.

Oh hey more TV and LIVE SPORTS. Because that's something that's not been talked about already.

I don't know.
Probably not.

Oh, they made Fifa Xbox exclusive apparently. Oh well.

Here's more "LOOK AT OUR GRAPHICS" [parasitic bomb].

Oh, they wanted these to look real? They're really blind to what real looks like I guess.

My favorite Xbox franchises? I don't think those exist.

Oh hey more REALISM CARS. I feel like I'm in Sony's Conference again.

Okay what's next, apparently they're just blowing steam.

Oh yeah, this is a game. Totally not people acting.

This could be alright. If it actually showed something other than some odd Live Action stuff.

"Investing more than ever", can't wait to hear "Failed AAA" again.

8 new franchises? People trying something new? My god.

Did they show any games?

Nope, they just want to show all the "cool" features.

There aren't any games.

Stop Advertising [tornado fang]ing Star Trek, how much is Abrams paying you?

Oh boy Kinect, people really want to see that. ::)

So... its MoCap without the Green Dot suit. Okay, don't care.

Is the D-Pad any good?

Uhh... Smart Glass? What.

Oh, the tablet can be a remote control? Jeez, that's never been done before!

Oh yeah, Xbox Live is so much different because its totally not the same thing, trust us, because it has more servers.

I want my content on my hard drive, being on the cloud means I lose [parasitic bomb] if the servers go down for maintenance.

Oh, so Achievements are different? How? They're not, stop making poetry out of empty words.

Oh boy EA. Don't care.

EA and Microsoft Team up, more Sports games.

Why are you applauding this is just the same [parasitic bomb] EA puts out every year.

No, none of this will fundamentally change anything, its a [tornado fang]ing sports game.

Blurring the line between real and fake? No thanks I don't need that.

EA Sports Self-Gratification Reel.

Graphics don't make a game, if EA made good games any more they would know this.

You bet it is.

They're doing this to be confusing, I swear.
Sports stuff, Not interesting, people are applauding because Fantasy sports is a thing for some reason.

No, I don't care what you can do with the Super Bowl or Golden Globes, or TV in general, show us something different, I can do all of this on my Cable Box, I don't need Voice Controls for TV.

Oh yeah, because I totally need Skype and TV on my game console. Oh wait, I'm sorry, its an Entertainment System.

Kinect is not important.

Xbox Live reinvented? How about some Free Live?

BLU-RAY CONFIRMED. Something good for once.

Okay.

Voice Commands, I bet that'll work great...

"Go to Internet Explorer, Oh nice". Yeah, don't kid yourself Microsoft Devs.

Oh wow he really is [tornado fang]ing advertising Star Trek.

Snap Mode: AKA Multitasking with a name they can copyright.

Less a minute to go.

I wonder what they're going to do to [acid burst] everybody off? Digital only/No Used Games? Always Online?

Oh, here's the self-gratification reel.

Oh, Cloud? Just call it a [tornado fang]ing server.

Hey cool they're talking about Not-The-Xbox and instead a ton of other [parasitic bomb].

Home entertainment system. So not a games console.

Its a black Box.

Posted on: May 21, 2013, 11:59:12 AM
The name sucks.

The controller is decent, why fix what wasn't broken.

I see a disc drive, and a Kinect Two.
