So they could give her an IV and knock her out without her hair getting in the way obviously.

552
My cat looks a bit goofy since she got back from her dental thing.

She looks like she's wearing a boot on her front left leg because they shaved the middle of her leg.

553
Its mostly the same as Rock the Dragon save for Vegeta saga stuff like Nappa ripping through the plane have been replaced by Frieza saga stuff, Roshi's not there either. Its still got the stuff from the movies, and the strange additions of stuff from the third version of Cha-La Head-Cha-La (Vegeta's Super Saiyan, Trunks slicing Frieza, the scene of the Z fighters with Goku where the title flies in as he turns Super Saiyan.)

That song is kind of terrible though.

To my knowledge, any Ocean dubbed work post-Funimation split has never been distributed. Most that can ever be found online are recorded airings from somewhere in Sweden I think. We get the Funimation dubs up here for DVDs and such just like America. Same goes for DB and GT despite those also being done by a separate Canadian group called Blue Water. I actually really liked the voice they had for Kid Goku in those.
Strange.

I know the ocean dub for those episodes is online somewhere. I think I've seen it around when trying to find the Rock the dragon episodes.

555
In Canada and the UK, the dub switched back to Ocean Group some point in the middle of the android saga. While most of the original cast returned such as Scott McNeil for Piccolo, Goku now had some random inexperienced Canadian VA. Eventually he was replaced by Kirby Morrow for the remaining duration of the series. Also Brian Drummond's Vegeta voice gradually got more throaty much like Christopher Sabat.

Oh and they had a much lower budget and recycled music from the R-S Mega Man cartoon.

I've read that they did that so they could consider DBZ Canadian content. I imagine the situation for DVDs there is... awkward.

I'm watching the uncut version so I'm using the Funimation dub obviously.

I'd love to see the stuff where they got lazy and recycled stuff from R-S Megaman though.

556
Oh man now that I've gotten to the segments of DBZ where Funimation started dubbing things have started to sound strange.

I think they went back and redubbed them again to make them sound in-line with the rest of the series but it all sounds a bit off and somewhat forced. So it doesn't seem like they redubbed everything, some of the voices sound a bit higher pitched as well.

Looks like Tamashii Nations have opened an english version of their web exclusive shop up to the US.

They're just testing it right now so there's just a Tony Tony Chopper statue available at the moment, but it seems like they'll be putting premium items on there, so perhaps this is a sign we'll be getting some of those really hard to obtain stateside items.

Also, new product line (or product line variation).

An almost foot tall SSJ3 Goku, a big heavy plastic statue for $94.

558
Well that's good to hear.

It looks like its still pretty cool, Its pretty faithful to the SNES style.

559
Has that been updated recently at all?

It looked great and then the guy just vanished.

560
steam sales have destroyed all my sense of monetary value in games and now i can't buy anything larger than $10.

Yeah basically this.

561
I do want to play Shovel Knight.

BUT I NEED TO BUY IT FIRST. And $15 is just a bit of a tough pill to swallow right now so I'm waiting for a sale. Same with the new Shantae game that came out on the 3DS, I want to play it but $20 is a lot of money for a downloadable game.

562
Because A and B are in a position that doesn't really work so well with the four button layout.

Y and B feel better but there's no control remapping.

563
Also, Steam needs to get it's age system right. The ESRB defines M-Rated games appropriate for people aged 17 and up. Like me. Yet despite Steam allowing me to view basically every game with that rating, Payday 2 showed up on my queue and I was blocked from it until I moved my steam installation and had to re-enter my age. As 18. Then I could get it off my queue.
Problem is, that one game blocked my entire queue. I couldn't use it until I could re-enter my age.

Haahha that's [tornado fang]'d up. The stupid thing pulled Steamguard on me once while IN Steam because it somehow logged me out of the store. It was fantastic.

I imagine its big if not bigger than normal King Ghidora.

So pricy.

Vegitto in May 2015. Looks like this time they had the good sense to include both the normal and Super Saiyan heads instead of having them be seperate figures.

566
It looks like the rest of the chips are gone.

567
Boy this steam queue thing sucks.

Its literally only recommended me stuff solely because its popular regardless of what genre it is, so its been multiplayer games, sports games, lots of Early Access games, junk like Dota 2 or military shooters.

Not a great system, only a few games went through that I've actually been interested in (Shovel Knight, Strider, etc.)

I thought it'd recommend me stuff based on games I own or play. Not the Youtube system of "Its popular so perhaps you like it as well."

Entertainment / Re: TOONAMI IS ON RIGHT [tornado fang]ing NOW
« on: October 24, 2014, 06:42:44 PM »
Attack on Titan and Bleach end next week on November first.

Titan's sticking around on its same timeslot though, while DBZ Kai takes Bleach's Timeslot.

Hellsing is ending too on Nov. 8, but its just getting cut off as to not undercut the sales if the last few episodes apparently. (Actually nobody knows what the hell is going on Broadcast rights might be [tornado fang]'d or something.)

And as so many people have been wishing for since it was released, Inuyasha: The Final Act is finally found its home on Toonami, they're going to try and keep edits to a minimum but will edit to TV-MA if they need to.

569
It was clearly intentional.

That's actually the first game in the "More Like This" listing.

If that wasn't enough:

Oh cool steam has the "Because you looked at this game why not take a look at THIS game?" thing that every other place does that I hate so much. Now it has free reign to try and recommend me FNAF.

You'll never win! I won't buy it!

But now I can put my not interested stamp on it and be happy. :D

The classic childhood adventure game Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise went up on Steam today.

Somebody has decided to tag it as "Survival Horror".
Alongside other great tags like "Psychological Horror", "Gore", and... "Anime".

Okay then.

571
However, there was the odd matter of the 90s Spider-Man cartoon, where they weren't allowed to show punching or glass breaking. They also weren't allowed to say "blood" and instead substituted the word for "plasma".

Well there was plenty of stupid [parasitic bomb] like that. It wasn't perfect. Lots of cheap saves to avoid killing people or being too violent were common as well.

572
Well Goku was immune to bullets so it was okay.

Everybody else, well i don't know.

Keep in mind the 80s and 90s weren't as strict with violence and stuff. Hence more dirty jokes, more blood, more flipping people off, more Krillin bribing Roshi with porn mags (including one that says HOMO on it), more Bulma flashing people. No holds barred

Even in its uncut form Kai's still a lot less violent than classic DBZ was anyway in regards to blood and whatnot.

I have... myself as a swordsman.

And in Multi-Man I have to deal with the onslaught of Nester, Nikki and Gendo and like 5 other different variations of myself.

574
That's Z.

And I think that's her only "canon" appearance.

575
I'm just annoyed at DBZ for shooing out the clowns. Roshi, Launch and Oolong are fun and while they get some stuff in normal Z they're even more marginalized in Kai (Hell I think Launch is completely removed since her stuff in Z was all filler because Toriyama forgot about her, by the time he remembered her he didn't really use her again because of the sneezing thing.)

And I'm gonna be hella mad if we never get a Bulma figuarts. She's the most prominent female character for crying out loud.

I can still enjoy it though, I just prefer the original dragonball.
