Ripping GIFs from the R Movie takes a [tornado fang]ing eternity.

I only did Venus and Jupiter. Did their attacks too, I'd do Mercury and Mars but it takes too long.

But here's where I've been dumping all my GIFs.
Its mostly Jupiter. Surprise Surprise.

You speak as if that ISN'T the reason Lucario was in Brawl.

To promote Gen IV? Except DPPt had been out before Brawl. Gen V was on the horizon when Brawl hit the scene.

They put Lucario in because Lucario is Gamefreak's Lightning. Why else has Lucario been a posterchild for Mega Evolution, been a prominent pokemon alongside Cynthia in both Gen IV AND V, and basically handed to you in Gen VI?

That's really the only reason why. Probably also the why Rosalina has been getting shoved into every goddamn Mario spin-off ever since Galaxy.

Yeah, I know.

But its not wrong to keep expectations at a big low. Movies based off of video games seldom work, and Sonic's been through many rough patches lately.

And this is coming from somebody who really likes Sonic. Lately it just seems like the good buildup from Unleashed, Colors and Generations is sputtering out. I couldn't stand to play Lost World past the third stage thanks to the awkward control, Sonic Boom looks okay, but the redesigns are hit-and-miss and nobody can really be sure if the gameplay will be any good right now.

I'm usually more optimistic for new stuff. But not like this.

So I'm sure the CGI elements will look fine.

Its just the Live Action bit that's going to be a problem because no doubt are they going to do some Fish-out-of-water by the numbers story in *insert big american city here* where he befriends some human, some comedy antics, some stupid jokes meant to be edgy or vulgar to appeal to the slightly older kids, the villain does something bad, Sonic gets all mopey, gets un-mopey, saves the day, goes home and promises human friend they'll see eachother again. credits roll.

Sequel is more of the same.

Mewtwo has renewed relevance now, too.  It wouldn't make sense to exclude him.

And this would give them a chance to retool him completely.  Yes, his controls were wonky as hell, but once I got used to them, I was downright deadly with Mewtwo.

Because he was the Mega Evolution promotional whore?

So were Charizard and Lucario. His appearance in X&Y was basically a "Here look its the guy we've been whoring out in the promotional stuff why don't you catch him."

Again though, I still can't see them bringing in any more Pokemon reps. There are plenty. We've got the series mascot, the creator's pet, a fan favorite recently divorced from his compatriots, an advertisement for the newest games, and the resident joke.

Getting away from the dead horse topic, I'm a bit more surprised Meta Knight hasn't been brought up at all.

Are you guys ready for Sonic the "Yearly movie whore" hedgehog?

Why did they pick Sony for this? I mean, in terms of shitty CGI movie churning studios it was either Sony Animation or Blue Sky.

So they pick the one that's churning out shitty Smurfs movies and has a hard-on for Live Action/CGI hybrids. Of course, this is of that Live Action/CGI blend.

Can't wait for Sonic's adventure in New York.
