Pretty much what Quickie said. I don't know what chores are that bad to warrant this kind of vitriol, or if it's something deeper than that, but as long as you live under their roof you abide by their rules. If that's an unacceptable situation, then it's time to find a roommate and move out.

I do abide by their rules.
They're both late on chores constantly. Yet I'm always outed because I work less and that of course means the time I'm not working should be chore time. Of course they fail to grasp/refuse to accept that I work on a VASTLY different schedule than them so I'm not always going to be awake at the same times they are and vice versa. But they don't care.

As for moving out... I'd love too, really. But I want to be able to stay at home for a while longer as I save up some extra money.

They always give me this "you control your own life" crap but then turn around and pressure me constantly to find a different job or do the girlfriend talk or show how much they don't know a single [tornado fang]ing thing about me.

Current situation at home is sort of melting down. So unfortunately I have to deal with the issue of threat of eviction because i didn't do some [tornado fang]ing chores yesterday. Because my mother just puts chores on this [tornado fang]ing golden pedestal over her son feeling like a part of the family and not just a defective Chorebot. I need to focus on that before I find my way in life. And if things melt down more...

Point is, i'm [tornado fang]ing sick of this.

I'm not in school.

I also just now noticed that my image in the last post wasn't cropped properly. What's the point of editing the image if it just spits out the full thing when I put it on imgur?

Oh hey mom tried to take my phone away from me and [tornado fang]'d up the internet again.

As if that'll make me leave.

Reason? Not doing [tornado fang]ing chores. Apparently my weekends don't mean anything to them. Apparently I forced her hand but she seemed real eager to text me with this gem the moment she got up.

Hobbies are a thing.

Too bad people don't really watch anime, not ones I watch. Nobody collects figures to my knowledge, and its RARE to find somebody who likes video games that doesn't just mean "I play call of duty on my 360 do you like call of duty i also play madden."

Maybe I'm just too cynical.

Out of curiosity, does talking to people here not count?

It would count if there were coherent discussions.

Since the count of active members is probably >10 and the amount of actual coherent discussions that aren't held in this topic are pretty much nil... you get the point.

As for the animal shelter thing. Tried it once, didn't really click with me but that might've just been because I sat in a room with cats and fell asleep.

As for Facebook, well I only have 9 friends on there, 0 of which really talk to me, and my profile has literally transformed into a big fuckload of Sailor Jupiter. Not the stuff I talk about of course, but again nobody reads it so I could post any old [parasitic bomb] in there, and nobody'd be the wiser. Its hardly a public profile.

Anyway, for people I talk to outside of here. I've got:
-like one or two coworkers, only small talk of course.
-the occasional school friend who happens to be shopping that day and comes in my line. Not much talking there.
-family, and other than one of my uncles I can't really talk to them about stuff I like.

Yep. That's some social life there, more than some people sure, but its [tornado fang]ing barren. No college friends because HAHAHAHAHA that's a funny [tornado fang]ing joke. No work friends because I don't really know anybody there despite being there for a year now.

So yeah, its stuff I could fix myself but knowing me I'll never follow through and continue to blame the rest of the world for my own shortcomings.

store's not open yet.

I'll check them out when they do open. They must be a store that sells used games. All the other ones crapped out and the last one that was around got eaten up by a primarily card-gaming store.

Take part in Geocaching?

https://www.geocaching.com/

Yeah that sounds like it could be fun.

With a friend/girlfriend/whatever.

One person by themselves? I dunno.

I didn't feel like this yesterday, so I don't know why I suddenly feel like my life is just a non-entity.

Do you have any cafes nearby, particularly artsy ones?
I do not partake cafes. The closest "artsy" one is probably the Acoustic cafe but that's downtown and requires a drive and finding a place to parallel park, and on top of that, the food sucks. No thanks.

Any local colleges with college hangouts?  Start frequenting them and you might find people to talk to.
Two colleges, a university and a tech. The college hangouts? All bars. Under 21 for the time being so that's also out. And even when I am 21, I don't want to go bar hopping. I have better things to waste my time doing.

Also, they'll have various free and low-cost functions at other hangouts, such as concerts and workshops.

I don't even know what Eau Claire has. They sure as [parasitic bomb] have nothing in the way of concerts save for Music at Phoenix Park every thursday (which is a good hangout for people who like that stuff, like my parents. Not me.) And workshops? I don't think those happen here either.

There are other stupid things that happen here too, especially in the summer. Like Country Jam/Fest/whatever, if you like that kind of music I guess it would be something but I for one abhor it and the sort of people that would venture out to this shithole to go see it.

I'm taking all my complaints of being a phoned in shell of a person to facebook.

Nobody will read them there. :P

And I now notice you guys have a thing set in the online list that tells when somebody is modifying a message as opposed to it just saying "Unknown action". Nice.

Human beings are social creatures by nature. They need interaction with others to keep their sanity. I'm sure it's not easy where you live, but the best you can try to do is find some like minded people at work or something like that.

Hah, nobody like that at work.
Nobody I can really talk to either when all I do is scan people's groceries. I'm not really too savvy about talking to the customers either, senior citizens and angry parents with 3-4 kids aren't really "Like-minded".

And here I thought I'd be able to live my entire life without having to resort to the so-called institution of "Having friends and hanging out with them".

And I now come to the realization that nothing is fun anymore. I'd like just ONE person to talk to and play games with, maybe do other stuff with.

But nope. Ol' Clefant's gonna live as he will die, Alone alone alone.

Yikes... did anything happen to the system while it was setting up?

Anyway, Club Nintendo year started over. I made plat last year because I have nothing better to do with my money and this year I'm... already at platinum.

So yeah, great year there.

...............................Ew

I would've said the same thing.

If it had tomato sauce on it.

It does not.

Okay, so I booted up the Wii U, finished the initial set-up and waited for the actual HOME screen to start up... only to receive a black screen with an error code scrawled across it.

I searched the Nintendo support forums for a solution to that particular error code. No dice. I called customer service, where a representative attempted to help me through the issue. No dice.

So, he suggested I send the console back to Nintendo for repair.

Nice [tornado fang]ing work, Nintendo. Thanks for sending me a bricked system. "Refurbished" my ass.

D: Such bad luck.

At least the warranty's good so they'll repair/replace it free of charge. But still bad luck. And I had heard such good things. And have had good fortune with their refurb wiimotes.

I had an order I wasn't expecting till tomorrow arrive today as well.

Now I own a bunch of tiny Sailor Moon figures, too bad I pretty much got the wrong variations on each of them! (I got Tuxedo Mask... Sans Mask.)
And the tracking still says its in Saint Paul. Guess not.

That's life sometimes. I had at least three delays on something I ordered once.

And I've had times where I was promised something at one point in time only to have it turn up a week later because of weather related bullshit.

You'll get used to it. You won't enjoy it but you'll get used to it.

Sailor Moon Crystal TRANSFORMATION

If you can get past all the [tornado fang]ing screaming from the audience. You get... mediocre CGI.

Great work Toei.
