Yeah, a hard-hitter can take 'em down pretty good, even if there's a fair enough level distance beteween the defender and the attacker. But some Spychic pokemon have moves that can make ghosts more vunrable to non-special moves, so that's a real benefit there.

Reminds me of some Pokemon Yellow fun that happened back in the day.

I was fighting Sabrina using my Pikachu and Snorlax, Pikachu fell to her Kadabra I think... Anyway, it was down to Snorlax and Alakazam. I had given Snorlax Metronome, and I was close to getting my ass beat. I try metronome to see if I can get anything good....

SNORLAX used TRANSFORM!

OH HELL YES!

I used Psychic on Alakazam, (Keep in mind I was close to dying.) and killed him.

Most amazing Metronome usage ever.

Too bad I was probably 9 or 10 when this happened.

Yeah I never used a Gyarados, it takes too much to train it and it's never worth it.  I mean for crying out loud it's a flying type pokemon but it can't learn flying attacks not even Aerial Ace.  Arcanine can learn Aerial Ace no problem but not Gyarados who is a flying type not thanks that just makes him more vunerable for no reason.
So you didn't know that any tournament inside the games demands that you save and you went ahead and saved anyway? 

Honestly I like the Battle Frontier because I stay far far away from the Battle Factory myself and focus on the Battle Castle, Battle Tower, and ocassionally the Battle Arcade.

EDIT: Okay Gyarados can learn Bounce but I would never use Bounce or Fly in a real battle.

I just don't like the picky bitchy rules they have in the Battle Frontier, No Legendaries so you can't have any aces in the hole, Limited Item usage (Or none at all.), Restricted to 3 Pokemon, No Items allowed to be held by your Pokemon (No Leftovers, real nice.)

It feels like tournament rules. I don't play Tournaments, so I find it to be a massive crock of [parasitic bomb] Nintendo made to make Tourneyfags be Tourneyfaggish while not playing in a Tourney.

And again, its EV Training REQUIRED. if you just kill whatever comes your way like I do you won't win, because they WILL have better stats.

Thats what I was thinking.

Anywho, Gyarados had been giving me tons of issues in SS, mainly because the ones that caused me trouble (Blue's and Lance's) had a rediculously high Defense stat. And none of the Pokemon I had at the time were very powerful. (This has changed, a Level 74 Feraligatr will tip the scales in my favor, Along with a Level 84 Rayquaza and a few other overpowed legendaries I bring along because I couldn't decently train a team if my life depended on it.)

Hell, i'm just going to do the same thing I did with Emerald and say [tornado fang] that to the Goddamn Battle Frontier.

I was happy that I did manage to get 100% in MZM.

Did that myself too. Of course, it took me a good 3-4 hours...

And, despite the awkward controls for the Super Shinespark and the loss of health. I rather liked it that you could activate it when you wanted with a Run button. Something that will probably never be seen again in a Metroid game, instead opting for automatic running that is about the same speed as walking.

Uh, Fusion didn't have Ballspark. That's MZM only. Even so, there's only like four places that need it.

I'm aware that Fusion didn't have the Morphball Shinespark. But I'm mentioning that Nintendo made an awful lot of Speed Booster Puzzles in Both Fusion and Zero Mission. Personally, I'd prefer finding hidden rooms with an extra one possibly hidden under a Power Bomb Block. Or even tricky Morphball mazes, but thats just me. I think if they eliminated some of the Speed Booster Puzzles people would complain over a lack of difficulty with getting hidden items.

I definitely enjoyed Zero Mission, but it wasn't my favorite Metroid game ever.

I liked Prime 2 somewhat more than Zero Mission. And Super is just all around more enjoyable thanks to not needing a Morph Ball Shinespark (Something the GBA games overdid.) In fact, I think the GBA ones would've benifited from a run button, that way theres no automatic Speed Boosting (I didn't like how it was handled in the GBA Games.)

I'm not saying that I hate Zero Mission and Fusion. But if I want to get 100% I don't want to have to go out of my way after Beating the game to find 5 more Missle Expansions that can only be obtained by tricky shinesparking (Something i've only been able to achieve once.) I'd rather it was obtainable using the Screw attack or something.

Oh, apparently Funi is going the same route with 1.0 for 2.0, As in it'll have a theatrical release. Probably only in Canada and two theaters in California like last time...

I once named a Nidoran (M) NONONONONONO....

I was 6, cut me some slack.

It was better than some of my friends at the time, they named their rival's such immature things...

I raped with Rayquaza in Emerald. But I was 8. So I really didn't care.

Emerald wasn't released that long ago...

It's impossible to beat the Elite 4 in Emerald. Luckily you can get Rayquaza BEFORE you beat them. Unfortunately you're too underleveled to fight him.

That was my strategy anyways.

Seems like a good enough reason.

if its impossible how come i did it.

You should probably grind more. Its frustrating, but worth it. I mean, I was underleveled with a level 60 Sceptile to fight with, but i did it.

Aye. That would be helpful. I've caught many a roamer only to lose it due to a repel being active.

His point was so a repel doesn't act against a roamer. He said nothing about not catching them. Which can be done just as easily with a certain move, you may know of it. It's called BLOCK. And it's NOT a waste of a perfectly good Master Ball.

Well, block on a Soundproof with False swipe and Yawn. Thats the best way...

I used it on SS ho-oh because i'm a lazy [tornado fang]. My dipshit friend used his on rayquaza back when he played sapphire. (speaking of which, is at lvl 85 and currently stewing on my PC. while my Rayquaza that knows fly is with me. He wasn't the brightest one, giving his best pokemon (that knew shitty moves) away for a groudon.)

Currently I think i'm doing pretty well with the legendaries, I currently have all the Kanto ones, hunting down Latios, Caught Latias, Kyogre and Rayquaza were obtained through Gen 3 rather than wait for my Uncle to finish his file up. Groudon will be done when I feel like it, Ho-Oh and Lugia are mine, and Entei and Raikou are running around with 1 HP each, waiting to be blocked.

And of course, the Sinnoh ones and Those Event pokemon are going to be a while, because Nintendo thinks the US doesn't want Celebi ever, Shaymin passed me by (So did Arceus.), Mew might be on its way, and Jirachi will be a long time from now more than likely. And Darkrai won't be till it appears in another movie more than likely.
