[Yeah, this current one is kinda dragging on, if I do decide to have my character back into the races I'm really going to get sick of typing "Anarchy Revved his jetskates" one million times. Hell, we should think of ideas for the next track, we did basic streets and ruins, lets do mechanical area next, then a tropical area, and finish it off in some space kinda thing. :P]

Well, if they do that again, I hope they make it so you can pick it up if you get hit, unlike Heroes where the key would just disintegrate.

[Yeah, Flame. You don't even have to race, just do some side stuff.

Y'know, I miss the old group. Alice/Lucky Star is gone, DWII doesn't RP anymore, same with Akamaru, Archer/Roa/Laura just got sick of it, and now even Flame is never here. Its just down to Me, Blackhook, Gaia, ST and the occasional Afro-Shroom (Did I forget anybody?). You must admit it can start to get... stale. Not to mention RPMVania is constantly overshadowing us with its... whatever it is that it has that makes it more intresting. :\]

[We have lots of side crap going on, mainly on my side, probably because I wanted to mix things up a bit while still participating in this RP.]

I stopped reading here.

I have different tastes in my games than you do, so whatever.

You... Really don't like Dimps... Do you?

I don't understand why people think Dimps are so great at making Sonic games, when half of the levels they create suffer Bottomless Pit Syndrome (Which again, you fall for WAY TOO LONG, which shows how empty most of the lower part of the stage is). Its pretty much hold right and the level plays itself with like ONE or two areas where you need to actually platform (read: jump up or off of a rope).

Plus, they made Unwiished, which shows heavily in the awful level design.

I will give them one thing though...

The Graphics are really nice, Sonic Advance 3 and Rush have shown improvements over Advance 2's bullshit. And for some reason Sonic Advance 1 is much better than 2.

Something I'm not sure about, did they make Sonic Battle? Because thats OK too... if it weren't packed with "Guard Robo" Mute-Gamma as EVERY enemy that isn't a main character. They wouldn't be so bad if they had some [tornado fang]ing noise when they're going to explode.

^This.  The special stage mechanic shouldn't be an issue of searching the stage for numerous special items.  Haven't played Sonic Colors myself, but I know all too well the nightmare of collecting those golden rings in Sonic Advance 2.  It's far too distracting to pull off in a normal playthrough, where as with the other games you could just look for a secret path and be on your way to that giant ring/special spring/etc.  I hope the bonus stages come back, too.  The ones in S3&K were a nice diversion, and they allowed you to get some nice stuff through the gumball machine and that weird laser minigame.

One thing about Color's Red Rings is that you don't need to collect all 5 of them in a single run of a level without dying. It really helps.

Yay, a refreshing soft drink has returned.

Now do me a favor and bring more of said refreshing soft drink. The stuff at McD's has gone flat. ;)

Nah, just kidding. Welcome Back Spider. You definitely are familiar to me.

Ummm....can these "red" rings be "golden" like in Sonic Advance 2? Pweeease? ^^

And remind people of that horrible [tornado fang]ing game?  >^<

Just thinking about Sonic Advance 2 makes me want to scream. I'm glad the recent games haven't been made by Dimpshits. Sonic Advance 1, 3 and Sonic Rush were OK, if only because the Special Stages were actually not bad. (Not including SAdv1's Special Stages, those suck)and the levels were solidly built (As in, not BOTTOMLESS PITS EVERYWHERE, ok, SAdv3 had that in spades, but it was easier to avoid them and you didn't fall for miles all the time.) Sonic Advance 2 though, all they cared about was speed and making it almost impossible to get those damn rings, the game isn't the least bit fun, the music is ok, but thats it.

Haven't played Rush Adventure, So I cannot comment on it.

But honestly, I don't see where this praise Dimps' games get is actually deserved (Well, Adv3 and Adv1 its fine, same with Rush. Just not Adv2 or Unwiished.) Its like with Sonic 2 and MegaMan 2, I can't see where they are better than the 3rd installments, which with Sonic 3, is my favorite of the Genesis games, and with MM3, my favorite classic series game. Sonic 2, yeah its fun, but I put it on a list of Sonic games that I don't like (Because of 3 things: Those damn coconuts monkeys ALWAYS getting me AFTER I kill them. RIGHT BEFORE GETTING TO A SPECIAL STAGE. 2: The Special Stage and its memorization required. 3: Tails was just damn worthless, no Flying, retarded in special stages, he didn't do [parasitic bomb], thankfully they fixed that in S3.) [/rant 2]

Hey look, another angry rant. Probably should revive the "[sonic slicer] about Sonic" thread.

Haha, funny. I say Advance 2 is a horrible game, but 06 is just OK. Talk about plain wierd.

X2, wonderful music going on there. Liked the primitive 3D, didn't like the over-simplicity of the battle.

X6, If only because it is hilarious to see crappily built Sigma, also creepy laugh.

I'm sorry, but no special stage compares to the ones in 3D Blast (Saturn).  These look more fun than the actual games for crying out loud:

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=np76lPXKfCo[/youtube]

(The Saturn 3D Blast stages are far more fun, less memorization and more enjoyability).

Looks like you have a follower in that statement, but to be honest I liked the Saturn 3D Blast overall, it was much more fun than the Genesis version with its upgraded graphics, new special stages, and [tornado fang]ing AWESOME MUSIC. (Though I will say the Genesis version did have some good songs in Diamond Dust, Green Grove 1, Panic Puppet, the boss themes. Spring Stadium, Volcano Valley, and Rusty Ruin killed me, those themes didn't seem to work so well, in a different game they would've felt ok, but they (Spring Stadium in particular) killed my enthusiasm to play the game, the ending music sounded like... sad too, like somebody died or something.) hyper Sonic can only appear if the Super emeralds are around, and I doubt they will be. In fact, they seem to be reusing the red ring system instead. Although, who knows, maybe we will have special stages.

Actually, i just had a mindblowing thought. playing Sonic 2 style special stages with modern Sonic gameplay. *shivers* it would be almost like the Sonic Heroes special stages, only better.

What is it with Sonic 2's special stages and people thinking that they, along with Sonic 2 in general, are the top [parasitic bomb] in Sonic games? I hate those damn things, mainly because Tail's AI is on a two second delay, Bombs pop out of nowhere (Rings too), and the whole damn thing is MEMORIZATION (The Saturn 3D Blast stages are far more fun, less memorization and more enjoyability). The S3 ones are kinda memorization but thats mainly getting the route you wanna take down, and that's easy.

Sonic 3/S&K's Special stages need a comeback, those were better.

Usually, if I get something illegally (Like a movie or something, a rare occurence anyway) I have full intention to buy it, that or I'm testing wether or not to waste my money (With Video games, usually, but thats a rarity as well.)

That's a stupid question.

And it was only called Maru Mari in Metroid 1. Every other game on it was Morph or Morphing Ball.

Yeah well I'm a stickler for consistency, so I get frustrated when people say "Maru Mari" for Metroid 1 BUT go to calling it "Morph(ing) Ball" Metroid 2 and beyond. Its the same damn item so it gets the same damn name.

Back on topic, game looks damn smooth. Looking foward to Classic Gameplay.

On another note, seeing as they brought the Signpost back for Classic, I can assume they're using a Giant Ring for Modern?

Red Rings look like they're making a comeback, Classic and Modern Super Sonic unlockable? Or are they just there to collect for no reason?

Which just means you don't have to burn all your money in one go when games do start coming out.

Well, it actually means I have to burn all of my money just to get the damn thing.

Egh... Thanks Capcom, now I have to get a 3DS when there are barely any games for it!

LoL, before this gets any worse, can we please not drag yet another Sonic topic down to "what's wrong with his games/eye color/spikes/Super Sonic/etc." I believe we already have a topic for that. Gracias!  8)

We had a topic for that, it was stickied then it fell down into obscurity after it was unstickied.

Smart Move, Nintendo. Making the depth perception better in 3D, Thats really all that needs to happen, I don't care about [parasitic bomb] popping out at me, I'd just like to see where the hell I'm jumping. :D

Anyway, once this comes out (I'll probably have a 3DS by then) Day 1 insta-buy. Its a Mario game, afterall, very few of those are bad.

The trio approached the ruins, noticing that despite the large amount of cameras and attention paid to the race, they never bothered to spring for security, so they drove right on in like it was a tourist attraction.

This place is... well, certaintly better looking than the TV's made it out to be.

I'll say, its a lot more boring in person.

The key started to glow again. In a short while the Trio were teleported into the vast unknown where Id was supposedly hiding, restoring himself using the life force stolen from Anarchy.

Good Lord! Its [tornado fang]ing dark here, I wouldn't want to be stuck here, no siree.
The whole area smells of ghost.

Anarchy woke up... he was in disbelief that he was back here, where he was almost killed.

Be quiet!

....

You hear that?

Power....Need More...POWER....I feel it....nearby.
That scent, oho, its that boy again....
another scent... it smells like [sonic slicer], oh this will be enjoyable...
Another? It smells like....sugar?
No matter, another two forms to steal and I'll have my ticket to vaporizing that pathetic existance on the other side...

Its Id...he's going to try and kill us... Keep your guard up!

[tornado fang] no.

The hell is wrong with Sonic Adventure?

I don't want another game like it, especially with an "Anniversary" game style taking levels from the old games.
