It was late afternoon when Giovanni arrived in Vermilion City. After taking the time to stop by his corporate apartment, he met with his team of attorneys and made his way to the station to speak with the arresting officer. He had a folder fat with documents to submit. Smirking to himself as he walked into the station, followed by his lawyers, Giovanni walked with a confident stride. Mewtwo was as good as his.
Misty had since given her statement and made arrangements to be away from Cerulean for a while. She had also gotten in contact with Ash's mother, and they were able to locate him in Unova. The authorities there presented him with a summons, and last Misty heard, Ash was making arrangements to fly back to Kanto.
In the meantime, Misty decided to track down Phoenix Wright, so as to submit any evidence that she could that would be beneficial to the case. She didn't have much, just her testimony as to what happened on Mount Quena. However, she hoped that it, combined with Ash's testimony would be more than enough.
In the Pokemon Institute, Mewtwo had spent the better part of the morning and early afternoon being examined from head to tail, having more blood drawn, getting x-rayed, and repeatedly interrogated. He had finally been returned to the holding cell, where he curled up in the farthest corner, hungry and exhausted. He was to fast for the night, and then have a glucose tolerance test in the morning, followed by some demonstrations of his powers in a controlled setting.
Glancing at the observation window, Mewtwo saw Ryuta out in the hallway, along with Joe and Dr. Yeung. The three were engrossed in a discussion, but Mewtwo could not hear what they were saying.
Yeung looked to his files, then to Joe and Ryuta. "I'd like to conduct a psychological evaluation, and I'm going to need some help with that, in case Mewtwo has difficulty in understanding commands. Basically, the test would consist of problem-solving exercises, and puzzles. There is a written portion, but I'm not sure if Mewtwo is able to read, so that could be conducted orally. Basically, this would be to ascertain how its mind functions. Would you two be willing to help out with this? Do you have any questions?"
