Once this whole case is over and done, I intend for some campy silliness.  At least for some downtime, as obviously there's still the Steiner thing going on.  Though, Mewtwo may sit that one out for the most part, per court order.  The way Domino has been acting lately, she might step in and be more proactive.  

As for Giovanni... Losing to Phoenix will cause him to fall off the wagon, hard.  And then be dragged behind it by his ankles.  Mr. Payne can join him.

Basically, after this, the first thing Quickie and Mewtwo will need to do is make arrangements to leave Kanto, as Mewtwo would essentially be deported.

"I doubt they found him," Quickie said mostly to herself as she ate her sandwich.  She nodded to Taylor. "Some days Mewtwo's back would get sore and stiff like that.  He'd stretch out and let me massage it.  He's had it looked at, had it x-rayed before, but Nurse Joy said that it's due to his height, and about the only thing he can do about it is ease the pain."  She nodded towards Phoenix. "When they searched my apartment, they cleaned out the medicine cabinet.  Mewtwo had some balm in there for his back, made his fur all nasty, but I may be able to get that back if you need it."


As if on cue, Dr. Yeung entered the cafeteria, carrying an armload of papers.  He approached the group and nodded. "Feeling any better?  Might want to eat something a bit more substantial..."

Mewtwo ignored him.

Yeung put his papers on the table and walked to the lunch counter.  He returned a few minutes later, placing food and drink in front of Mewtwo and Meowth.  The food consisted of a baked pasta dish that required the usage of a fork, which was also presented to the Pokemon.  The drinks were bottled and would need to be opened.  Yeung sat down, satisfied, and shuffled his papers, pulling out a notebook and a pen, ready to take notes.

Mewtwo stared at him for a long moment, then moved his gaze to his meal, then to Meowth.  He isolated his telepathy, speaking only to the equally-unnerved Pokemon. "...Is he to be studying us while we eat?"

Around the 26th I plan to be away.  Not sure for how long, but for only a few days at most.

Getting in a short camping trip before the summer is over.  Perhaps even a trip to the pool.  If not that, I'll head for the creek.

Quickie nodded slowly, finally taking a bite of her sandwich proper, rather than eat each ingredient individually. "I hope Mewtwo keeps a clear head.  Particularly if anyone tries to do anything to him or his clones.  Getting him to a Pokemon Center for an annual checkup was always a real pain in the ass, pardon my language.  He's stubborn and resistant to a fault, and he would only go if I arrange the visit ahead of time at an hour when the Center wasn't busy, and only if he could sneak in from the back.  Then after that, it's like trying to examine a squirming child.  He really doesn't like anything that even remotely reminds him of a lab."  She shrugged and took another bite.  "His first couple visits were terrible, but he got more comfortable after a while.  I have his Center vaccination records."

"I didn't think the place would be so shady.  But, then again," she shrugged, "Team Rocket has their hands in everyone's back pocket."  She pulled a tomato slice from her sandwich and ate it.  "It can't be a good environment.  It's probably driving Mewtwo nuts.  And poor Meowth is stuck there, from what I heard.  You'd think he'd be pulled out as a witness or something, but from what I gathered, he's lumped in with Mewtwo's clones.  Granted, he's one of the DNA donors, but still..."

My apartment is home to several species of spider.  I have domestic house spiders, agrarian sac spiders, a parson spider (he spreads the good word of Spider-Jesus), a daddy long-leg spider (not the harvestmen, though they sometimes find their way inside), and a jumping spider on my door.

I should train my spider army and send them on covert ops missions.

Stopping to grab some lunch herself, Quickie made her way to Heirophant's table and nodded to an empty seat.  "Mind if I join you?"

A few minutes later, Quickie entered, carrying a banker's box. "Got some more stuff," she heaved it onto the table, opened the lid, and began to rifle through it, "should be some useful stuff in here..."

Misty stepped aside. "So, how long was Mewtwo living with you?"

"Quite a while, several years," Quickie nodded as she shuffled things around. "Okay, here we go.  Not sure how useful this would be, but it may at least help with proving ownership..."  She fished out a folder and placed it on the table.  "Did you know that Mewtwo believes in God?"

Misty's eyes widened. "That's certainly new...  How long has he believed that?"

"Since he was born," Quickie nodded. "He told me that he asked his creators if God created him.  They said 'no,' and, well... he didn't take it well."  She opened the folder and pulled out a certificate.  "A couple years ago, we were out and about, and came across a congregation in the woods that was blessing Pokemon for their trainers.  Lots of trainers there with rare Pokemon, most likely why they held it in the woods.  That was when Mewtwo mentioned his beliefs, and we hung out there to watch for a bit."

Misty nodded. "I've seen some mass blessings before, off and on."

"Anyway, after a while, we decided to stop skulking and go in for a closer look," Quickie continued. "The pastor saw us hanging around the back of the crowd and invited us forward, and Mewtwo was baptized that day."  She held up the certificate. "I snapped a couple pictures of the baptism.  They might be in here somewhere, the ceremony was held creekside, so lots of trainers and their Pokemon were getting wet."  She began to rummage some more.

Misty looked over the certificate and then handed it to Phoenix.  "It's certainly cute.  Nice gesture, though I'm not real spiritual, so I don't do that."

Quickie fished out a few photos.  "Here we go.  Here's the blessing, the dunk, and Mewtwo's reaction.  The water's cold."

Misty took the photos and laughed. "I can tell.  That face is priceless, but he does look happy."

"I'm not very spiritual, either.  But, it made Mewtwo happy to be baptized," Quickie passed the photos to Phoenix. "Might help to show the jury how happy he is.  Might help to swing the verdict in our favor."

(Mewtwo's belief in God was pulled from the Japanese script of MSB and from BoM.)

I found a spider hiding in my sketchbook.  Just a little bit ago, it crawled along my desk and onto my arm.  I let it go in another part of the living room.
