No, Mabel wasn't the dream.  I just finished posting the dream.  When I had gotten up, Mabel wanted me to open all the blinds, so I did.

I had a dream that I went surfing.

Being from Pennsylvania, I didn't do very well. :P

Weird dream last night.  It was the eve of a zombie apocalypse, and people in my neighborhood didn't know what to do.  I couldn't get home to get my sword, so when the zombies started shuffling toward us, I punched them.  I punched their heads into mush.  Pretty effective.

But, I couldn't just punch zombies all night, so I tried to get home to get my sword.  However, this kid was having a sleepover, and his friend was a zombie and attacked him, and then started toward me.  I ripped the furnace vent cover from the floor and chopped its head in half with it.  Then, I sawed it off and mashed it into mush.  The kid who was attack became a zombie and started toward me, so I jam the grate through its neck and make the zombie into a Pez dispenser.  It falls onto the other zombie, and I finish sawing its head off, and repeatedly chop the head into tiny sections.

Then, I go to find my sword, only to wake up.

Had a strange dream, and then Mabel was bothering me to open all the blinds so she can sit in the window.

Odd.  I can see it fine, and others have seen it fine.

A fake comic for a kickstarter for a web series about comics.  Earlier, I inked another cover for another fake comic.  I had already posted a sketch of the chick on that cover (can't show you the cover itself), and it's on the previous page.

I gather the artist who pencilled it was influenced a bit by early 90s equestrian girls, as the spine is so contorted that it'd make Liefeld blush.

Actually, here.

One of the covers, the unfinished one that needed inked, had a woman on it whose spine was so twisted that it'd make Liefeld blush.

I can't show you the cover itself, but I did sketch the pose of The Incredible Spineless Woman.

I'm serious, whoever drew the cover decided to draw the woman on it that twisted.  It was frightening.  The rest of the cover was pretty good, but when it came to drawing the human body, the guy was lost.

I'm gearing up in case I need to redo the comic cover I slapped together.  If I do, and if I have good enough warning, I may be able to do more than slap it together and actually put some effort into the thing.  The current one, which I can't show, looks like a legit comic cover, but it's just so darn goofy!

Good thing I found a fast way to color.  I need to find a faster way, but my current method can crank out a finished product in less time than my old method.

Warm up that carpal tunnel inflammation!  This is going to be painful.

Domino pulled herself to her feet, unwrapping her shirt and putting it back on, feeling a sharp twinge of pain in her shoulder.  She looked to Heirophant and put a finger to her lips, signaling him to keep quiet.  Walking over to James, she bent and pulled him to his feet, practically dragging him to the door.

Domino breaks into a sprint, chasing after the Hanged Man.  While running, she shed her over-shirt and wrapped it around her hands in an attempt to put some sort of barrier between her and the card's energy discharge.  Getting close enough, she leapt for the card, clamping it between her covered hands, and she landed hard on her shoulder, rolling onto her back, her arms outstretched, the card held firmly. "...If you want this thing," she shouted between pants, "you'd better grab it, now.  Don't know... how long my shirt... will hold it..."

Domino stood in the office doorway, dumbfounded.  Well, their cover was blown.  No point in straining her throat for a persona that pretty much no one would fall for, anyway.  She let out an irritated and defeated sigh, then looked to Heirophant, watching him stagger to his feet.  Jerking her thumb over her shoulder, she nodded to the hallway. "Come on, there's an emergency exit out here.  I have a key to keep the alarm from going off."

I couldn't figure out where the hell her neck was while I was inking it.  The pencils were so blurry and lo-res that it was a muddled, pixelated mess.  Lots of guesswork went into the inking, and I embellished the shading to add cast shadow.

That woman's broken spine and her companion's dislocated shoulders, however, were a lost cause.  No amount of inking could fix that, so I inked painful proportions.

...I feel so filthy...

It's crunch time for an upcoming kickstarter, and one of the comic covers was never finished or inked, so I did the inking digitally and Ringman colored it.  Then, I slapped together a quick couple of character designs, threw together a layout, and threw some colors on it.  Ringman's doing the logos, and the rest of the covers were done with Hero Machine, while we're waiting on two covers from someone else who can't seem to be arsed to put the things on a scanner.

That said, I might end up with a couple more last-minute projects.

In the restroom, Domino finished a phone call. "...Yes.  Yeah, just get me his schedule and anything he's sending Dr. Yeung.  If you could get Yeung's schedule, too, that'd be great.  ...No.  ...No, Giovanni hasn't told me anything, which is why I need you to do this.  ...Yeah, without any of them knowing.  Can you do that?  ...Great.  ...Great.  Okay.  ...E-mail it to me.  ...Yeah, that's the one.  ...Okay.  ...Okay.  Okay, thanks.  Thanks, Scott.  I really appreciate it. ...Okay, bye."  Hanging up, she tucked her phone into her purse and straightened her pigtails.  Taking a deep breath, she left the bathroom.

Her gaze at the floor, Domino pulled out her phone again and checked her messages.  She wasn't paying much attention and ran right smack into Heirophant as he was rushing out of her office.  Landing on her rear, her phone skittering across the floor, Domino glanced up.  "I'm sorry!  I didn't see ya there!"  She had taken the time to perfect her Harley persona, and this time had the accent back to its normal subtlety.  She stood, dusted herself off, and offered her hand to Heirophant. "I really should've been watchin' where I was goin'..."

I just digitally-inked a tiny, low-resolution image of extremely busy pencils that weren't even scanned.  Pain in the ass.  My hand hurts, so I'm taking a break.

As I was waiting to come back home, I saw a five-lined skink scuttle across the porch.  It stopped to look at me, and then ran off.

I found it to be a nice surprise, because here in Pennsylvania, we're not as lizard-infested as you Southern and tropical folk. :P
