"Say whaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

And just like a rocket, Joe is blasted off. Who knew his normal life is going to change again...

(They'll land tomorrow when I get up, and by then, the effects of Dazzling Gleam should have worn off.  I'm going to go curl up with Mabel and sleep.)

By now, Joe's eyesight had started to recover, and could make out blobs now. Seeing something being offered to him, Joe took it, and slowly tried to find his way towards said Charizard's mouth.

St. Elmo snacked on the Puff eagerly and let out a happy roar.  Trak gave the Charizard a chest rub and climbed onto his back, pulling Joe along.  "Hold on tight!  St. Elmo takes off like a rocket."

With very little warning, St. Elmo flapped his wings and took off, headed for Petalburg.

"Huh what?"

Joe suddenly felt his body being lifted up. Raticate took the cue and jumped onto Joe, nuzzling its nose against the Pokeball belt around Joe's waist. It soon found its own Pokeball, and returned inside.

"Dépêchez-vous!" Runaway pulled Joe along as he followed Trak outside, where she called out her Charizard.

"Got an extra passenger today, St. Elmo, think you're up to it?" Trak smiled, giving her Charizard a chest rub.  She then pulled out Runaway's Poke Ball. "In you go!"

Runaway immediately returned inside, and Trak tucked the Poke Ball away. "Okay, quick introductions.  Joe, St. Elmo.  St. Elmo, Joe." She dug through her bag, pulled out a frosted Puff pastry, and offered it to her Charizard, who ate it vigorously.  She handed another to Joe. "Don't be shy, he won't bite.  St. Elmo's the sweetest Charizard you'd meet.  Give him a treat, and we'll be off."

Checking Mewtwo's idle.  Right now, his back is toward me and he's just swishing his tail.

Got him to turn around.  Looking around... looking around... looking around...  Nothing else beside that.  Said "hello," and he perked up.  Then, I fed him and pet him as a reward for putting up with my bullshit. :P

Eventually I may have named one "Masamune," but when I started naming mine, I just stuck with Arthurian names.  Seemed fitting with how they're broadswords.

(Heading for Petalburg, then, just to escape Mr. Bonding...)

In Slateport...

Trak returned, holding a map and an extra Poke Ball.  "Okay, St. Elmo's ready to go.  We can get as far as Petalburg, and we may be able to throw Bonding off our trail.  But, we should get going," she glanced at the bathroom, hearing a commotion inside, "like now."

Runaway handed his Foongus to Trak to put away, then grabbed Joe by the arm, leaning back to haul him to his feet. "Dépêchez-vous! Dépêchez-vous!" Hurry!  Hurry!

I need to infect some more Abras and send them out, then breed some more.  I'm raising one of my breeders so I have a female Alakazam (eventually, she needs traded first), as I want to see if there's any gender dimorphism with the Mega Evolution.  Sure would be weird if that female Alakazam grows a full-on beard...

I also have one of my hatchlings that I play with in Amie because Abras are so goshdarn CUTE in Amie.

(I want to eventually have Trak and Joe at least within the same town/county as everyone else, so as not to be so split up, whether or not they actually meet.  Where would be the best place to head for?)

I'm pretty much happy with any trade I get.  The best one I got was that Japanese Tropius with Pokerus.  Patient Zero was awesome with cultivating a plague that I now send out with my Abras when I do Wonder Trade.

To this day, I still wonder how people are ripping top quality animations like these.
The second one, I'm 90% sure is also from Poke-Amie.

But yea, Mewtwo being cute, is a little over top for him. Then again, there are other pokemon that always frown, but still seem to be cute in Amie as well.

Mine is at maximum affection and friendship, so he cuts loose a bit.  Still very demanding, but he's happy.   I usually interpreted the peeking as just him demanding attention.

It's interesting how some of the pokemon intros in poke-ami are random. Like how sometimes they have their backs turned away from the players view camera, or the way they try to play "Peek-a-boo" when you enter. Vivillon did an upside down peek-a-boo on me, and screen slowly rotated right side up. ^_^

I'm unsure if every pokemon does it. I haven't seen a Mewtwo do it. Maybe its only some pokemon.

Not the best quality image, as I had to act fast, but there you go.

ohaithar

Mewtwo does that "peek-a-boo" thing, too.

If you go into your menu and click on an item you can choose to select it instead of using it.  When you do you set it to the Y button and you can use that instead of the menu for Key Items.  The best part is in this game you can set up to 4 items instead of 1 and choose which one via the D-Pad or Circle Pad.

Huh.  I didn't know that.  I'll have to remember that.

My current line-up isn't battle-ready, except for Mewtwo, Runaway, and Flamin' Yawn, who's finishing leveling.  The rest of the team consists of mid- and low-levels, mostly HM slaves and a Furfrou I got trimmed for style points.

Joe turned again, and turned to face another potted plant.

"Ehh... Hang on..."

Joe dug into his shorts pocket, and pulled out a red brick which resembled a Pokedex. He played back the last recorded message.

"Oh... Yea, I'm fine, although you do seem to smell like a plant..."

(I totally forgot Joe wore shorts. Gonna edit the previous post.)

Runaway raised an eyebrow and looked to the Raticate. "Joe va bien se passer, non?" Joe will be okay, right?

Mewtwo does it.  Side glances, popping up from the bottom, upside-down, back turned, ready and waiting... and Ultimate Death Glare if you toss him around in his ball too much.  Avoid cycling hatching runs while he's out in Amie.  He doesn't like them and will get pissed off.

"Good idea," Trak nodded, then looked to Runaway, "Help him out, I'll go get St. Elmo and a map." She headed for the counter.

Runaway nodded, walked over to Joe, and poked him in the shoulder. "Comment allez-vous?" How are you?

Just activated my StreetPass.  Doubt I'll get any, as the kids around here are more interested in dealing drugs in the woods across the street.

TEAM FLORA HAS INVADED MY NEIGHBORHOOD

Trak turned around. "Directly behind you.  Just take a couple minutes and your eyesight will come back.  At least it'll come back enough that we can get out of here before Mr. Bonding realizes what happened."

Runaway nodded, still hugging his toy. "Oui..."

"I don't even know where Rustboro is, so I can't just pull St. Elmo out and fly us there," Trak shrugged.

A blinded Mr. Bonding howled and stumbled for a couple seconds before he tripped into a stall and landed face down in the toilet.

(8D)

Trak recovered her eyesight and dashed out of the bathroom.  Runaway stayed behind to make sure Mr. Bonding was incapacitated, and then left the bathroom.  He went straight for Trak's bag and pointed to it. "Trompignon."

Trak opened her bag, dug out the squeaky Foongus toy, and handed it to Runaway. "What say we get out of here?  Start heading for Rustboro?"

"Oui oui," Runaway hugged his toy, which squeaked.

I need to go find more hidden items.  And brave the Dwebble Cave again, but finding Dwebbles under every single rock is frustrating as hell.  I either found those... or NOTHING.  I don't know which was worse!  At least I got Exp from the Dwebbles, but come on!  It just got tedious.
