Trak brought Runaway over to the stand and offered him a Pokeblock.  Runaway sniffed it, then crunched it up, puckering a bit due to the sour taste.  But, the Alakazam liked sour flavors and grabbed another yellow Pokeblock, crunching it up.

Twoey also tried one. "Oh wow, sour SweetTart there!"

"We should work on your sheen, so, I think these are the ones that will help with that," Trak found some leftover blue Pokeblocks and offered one to Runaway.  The Alakazam sniffed it, crunched it up, then shrugged.

Twoey pointed at it. "That was the first one I tried.  Tastes like Pez."

Trak started to follow, but noticed that Runaway was slow to join her.  She stopped and crouched down in front of him. "Are you okay?"

Runaway took a moment to respond, as his gaze was distant.  Finally, he nodded. "Oui."

Trak frowned. "Something's been bothering you since last night.  What is it?  You picked a fight with a Zoroark and then demanded to read its mind.  You've been out of sorts since.  What's wrong?"

It took a long moment, but Runaway finally relented.  The Alakazam explained everything in a haste, from the first nightmare with the Zoroark and the saw-wielding figure, to what he saw when he unlocked the Zoroark's memories--including the same dark figure with the same evil cackle--to his last nightmare that ended in the exact same way, with him strapped down and his head held still--this time by a metal framework--and that same shadowy figure approaching him with a saw.  He hugged Trak and buried his face in her chest, whimpering about how the Zoroark's family are trapped and horrible things are being done to them.

Trak hugged him and rubbed his back. "We'll find them.  We'll find them and rescue them."

Twoey, meanwhile, shuddered. "Gah, brain surgery.  Been there, done that."

"Now's not the time," Trak shushed him, trying to avoid upsetting Runaway even more.

"Ooh ooh ohh, a contest?  Can I be in it?" After filling his belly with food and drink, Twoey was a bit hyper.  "I can prove once and for all that I, too, can be FABULOUS~"

Trak giggled. "We'll see, we'll see.  Remember, you're still an oddity and we have another Mewtwo to compete with, and while I'm okay with flattering him, I don't want to inadvertently [acid burst] him off."

Runaway, who was holding Trak's hand, was still quiet as he observed the goings on around him.  The Alakazam was still trying to sort through that tsunami of Zoroark memories, and as such, he was a bit distracted.

Runaway stood there for a moment, looking around.  He was still a bit disoriented, but the feeling faded quickly once he got his bearings.

The dreams continued and culminated in the same imagery that woke him before; the silhouette, the cackle, and the saw.  Runaway jolted upright, panting.  He looked at Trak, threw his arms around her, and buried his face in her chest.

Trak rubbed his back.  "Ssh... it's okay... just a bad dream..."

Twoey nodded. "Now that that Zoroark's memories are unlocked, I'd hate to imagine what he's dreaming about..."
