A text adventure called First Times. It has a lousy text parser, and uses commands such as "use," which is hardly ever used in other text adventures. I'm currently plowing my way through the second puzzle and have been backtracking and will need to redraw my map.

Image resizing is still here, but it doesn't work intermittently. Just put "img width=500" in the tags, and that fixes it.

Assuming that everyone had signed, Mewtwo gathered the papers, handed them to the guard, and handed out badges. "This way," he led them out of the office and along a path between two large brick halls, passed a third brick building, all three displaying the ornate Gothic architecture that was popular when the campus was first built, and to a newer part of the university.
The buildings there were noticeably more modern, with solid, square construction and sharp corners, with one being more abstract, with similarly-designed metal statuary on the lawn. All the while, Mewtwo pointed out the purposes of the buildings, with the older ones used for theater arts, social sciences, various English courses, history, and other subjects associated with academia, and the newer halls holding art classes, nursing, technology, and finally the science center.
Holding the door, Mewtwo waited for everyone to enter the nondescript brick building before entering himself. He gave a nod to another professor, swiped his ID card to gain access to an elevator at the end of a hallway, and during the elevator's descent, he took the moment to shrug off his bag, sit it on the floor, and look through it.

Yeah, if you read any Lovecraft... don't start with that one. Start with The Dunwich Horror, or The Colour Out of Space, or Pickman's Model (if you want something short).

Well, the cats were explained in The Cats of Ulthar, which I haven't read yet. But, the cats go to the moon and fight the tentacle toads or something while everyone waits for Nyarlathotep, who never shows up.

There were eyeless toads with tentacles for faces, and the zoogs will eat everything except for Randolph Carter because he knows their flutter language, and can also speak the language of cats, and the elder cats love him because he held a kitten, and the cats fear Saturn cats, and now after climbing a big mountain that no one else could seem to climb, he has to go all the way back the way he came to find out more information on how to get to unknown Kadath and hopefully Nyarlathotep makes another appearance, because the last one was crap.
