We bought a TV from Goodwill that had it's cord chopped off and we used one for a cord by shoving the wires into the holes.

Those adapters are pretty easy to splice.  We had one missing the plug, and another missing the transformer, so we spliced them.

Someone left a hoodie outside in the rain the week before, and I had put it in the laundry room for them to claim.  A week later, it's still there, unclaimed.  I've since threw it in with a load of laundry, thus getting a new hoodie.

Mabel slept with me again.  I had the heat off because it was warm yesterday, so it got chilly in here.  I since turned it back on, but I'm warming it up in increments of two degrees so as not to have a huge gas bill later.

When I first saw an image of Musharna, it was a TCG pic and it looked like some sort of fetus with an umbilical cord coming from its head.  Other images make it look like it suffered a grievous head injury.  Compared to Flora Print Pillowcase Munna, Musharna is ugly.

Dialect, working vocabulary, slang, vocal tics and nuances, and other mannerisms are one thing.  People speak differently because people think differently.  But, they still talk like people.  Generally, we don't accuse people of not talking speaking a certain way.  We generally don't say to someone "you don't talk like a girl!" or whatever.

Just because someone is of a different gender or race doesn't mean that they should speak differently, the aforementioned nuances aside.

I took the time to explain the comment, saying that there's no real need to have characters of a different race or gender talk in a way that identifies them as that race/gender when they should simply talk like people.

It's on TFN.  There's a diversity thread, and people were talking about how non-white or non-male characters should be written or how they should talk, etc.  I said the following, because I felt it apt.

"It's got boobs!  How does it talk?"

Like people.

Another user thought I was trolling or otherwise trying to be offensive.

Urrrrrrrgh...  I figured out what my gut trouble is.  It isn't just some random bug, but rather my IBS flaring up for the first time in a while.  Stupid IBS.  Hopefully it settles down soon, as I've been dealing with this for about two weeks.
