That's about average. Unfortunately. It's not as if we're actually having a back-and-forth conversation, either. She's talking about whatever the hell pops into her head, and I'm responding with "yeah" every now and then. I could leave the room and she won't notice. I have left the room and she didn't notice. I've left the house and came back five minutes later and she didn't notice.
One time, I hung up and timed to see how long it took for her to realize that I wasn't on the phone.
She called back five minutes later. It took her five minutes to realize that I had hung up.

At times, it's a weekly ritual. Mom calls and talks, and talks, and talks, and talks, and talks, and talks. I put her speaker and go do other stuff. My sis-in-law puts her on speaker and does other stuff. My half-brother puts her on speaker and does other stuff. Everyone puts her on speaker and does other stuff.
