I go through so many boxes of tissues... and I couldn't get the ones that smell like VapoRub. :(

But yeah, allergy season sucks.  Stop and smell the flowers?  More like stop and smell the SINUS-CLOGGING MUCOUS-FLOWING POLLEN FROM HELL :W

Oh, the user who threatened to kill himself hasn't shown up since Wednesday.

And Jennifer Heddle confirmed that all eras were nuked, not just post-RotJ EU.

Of course, she confirms that just when I had hit the acceptance stage of grief.  Back to De Nile I go...

To put on my Hypno hoodie and have the playground all to myself in the dark and lurk there on the swings like some creep... or not to do all that.

Man, the temperature plummeted.  Good thing, too, as I could turn off the AC and open the windows again (still have the ceiling fans on Decapitation).

Later I might put on a hoodie and take a walk in the dark.

If you go to MAGFest next year, I want to come.

And I went outside to clear my head and I found a big black fuzzy caterpillar.

I don't know why, but I like Axl more.

Multimedia projects: Production design or just acting?

He (not Panda) did ask me why I don't talk about my projects in any detail.  I said because it's really none of anyone's business, and I don't want to deal with people trying to jump onto the fame bandwagon by asking me if they can help when they have no skills to offer.

The thing is, with any multimedia project I do, I get people coming out of the woodwork and asking if they can act in it.  That's all anyone ever wants to do; act.  It's because compared to the pre- and post-production and all the actual production, the acting is the easiest and the most fun.  No one ever wants to do any actual work.

This is a very common issue that Ringman and I have dealt with on a regular basis and is the sole reason why we are very reluctant to allow anyone into our production company.  We can rely on each other and we know what all we can do, and we'll learn new skills and are willing to put in hours upon hours upon hours of tedious pain-in-the-ass work for an end result of a few minutes of footage.

No one else seems to be willing to do any work other than acting, so unless people can prove to us that they're ready and willing to do mind-numbingly boring grunt work for very little payoff in the end result (or even none at all), then they're not allowed in our production group.

We don't want actors.  We want people who will work.

And I hope your brother is okay.  If it's been really dry, then he may have dried out the mucous membranes in his nose and throat.  I've gotten spontaneous nosebleeds (gushers) from dry air.

I told him flat-out that no, he can't help.  He can't act in it, as all the parts are filled.  He can't build models for it, as it's about comic books and all he builds are military models.  He can't be a part of it in any way, shape, or form because he lacks the skills required to be a part of the production staff.  If he wants to help, he can donate to help fund the project.

He doesn't want to do that, as it won't net him any fame.

And Panda, actually, isn't quite as bad.  We've actually used Panda for projects!  He at least could provide background chatter and Wookiee noises!

I generally try to be cryptic about certain projects, due to past experience of dealing with people who want to jump on the popularity bandwagon when I mention my involvement in any relatively-high-profile project.

At some point, I toss the secrecy out the window, as it becomes a hassle to explain a project that kept me busy without talking about the project itself.  Such is the case with Bagged & Boarded.  I touched upon last weekend's work just to explain why I was distracted on another board.

As expected, I'm immediately inundated with questions and "can I help" crap from that friend that nobody likes. :|

Last weekend, I was wondering about the Xbone, as it's been a while.  For a moment, I thought that perhaps the ride did end.  Perhaps there was nothing else.  Perhaps it reached a point where there was nothing else to say about it, and perhaps it would just go quietly into the night.

Thank goodness I was wrong!  Weeeee, another hill! 8D

In terms of most effective deodorant I've used, the award goes to Speed Stick.  I've sweated while wearing Speed Stick and the sweat smelled like Speed Stick.

In terms of real life acquaintances, I only have a few, and most of those are supportive services staff people.

And I am so not ready for summer.  The temperature in my apartment was in the 80s.  Yeah, I put on the AC.  I was trying to hold off doing so, but once it hits 80 inside, the AC goes on.

I'm thinking of getting a henna kit so I can do my own tattoos.  Though, some day, I do plan to get a tattoo of the more permanent variety.
