This topic amused me

I don't think that person's going to get a lot of requests, particularly after a cursory glance at their dA and seeing very amateurish work.

I think I only need a few more credits to finally finish off my degree.  What's holding me back is money.

Many places don't even care what your major was.  They just want a degree to show that you were dedicated enough to go through college.

Get a vague associate's degree.  Liberal arts.  Two years of core requirements and a few electives, most of them artsy.  If you can handle basic Western History, Humanities, Psychology, some type of English course, and Sociology, with perhaps an applied math course, you should be set.

For non-school projects, Ringman and I work together and in the event that we have other people on the team, they don't do a lot, mostly because they joined in because they wanted notoriety and didn't realize that multimedia projects require work.  Generally, we work on stuff alone, because no one else wants to do any of the work.

In school, I did all the grunt work in my group and the leader got all the glory.  When Ringman had school projects (college and high school), I often helped with those.  Likewise, he helped with mine.  So, even though we weren't in the same grade or even same school, we still worked together on projects.

Now rather than being forced into a group project or dealing with people in that group not pulling their weight, we deal with people knowing about the project and wanting to be a part of it, usually in a role that would grant them the most publicity while doing the least amount of work.

Thus, we can't stand "idea" people and people who only want to act in a project when we can fulfill those roles ourselves.

In school, they sucked.  Out of school, they still suck.

If it's a game or challenge topic that requires participants to PM their entries, a sock allows them to keep things organized.  PM entries to the game sock so that the user's inbox isn't cluttered up.

On TFN where socks are allowed, people do it for game reasons.  Elsewhere, it's usually ban-evasion reasons.  Some also make socks because they want a new username.

I had a sock on one board for testing reasons.  Since on that board, I had admin access, I made a general user sock so I could test things and see what I'd break.

Perhaps they were trying to get your old username, but realized that it was taken.

Or...

They're one of your socks! :o

It should, considering it's a sock of RockmanModelZX.EXE, who registered only a few days prior.

Depending on which one the user decides to use, I'll ban the sock.

Might be for the best.

And Mabel's so used to her Cone of Shame that she loves it.  She's been in a great mood while wearing her cone.

I should pick up either one of the older games or Y and start a Twitch campaign, but with my niece and nephews deciding what to do.  But, I don't see them often enough to do that.

Glasses help a bit.  Also keeping your face a fair distance from the pan.  I've burnt myself with cooking grease occasionally on my face, but mostly my arms get the brunt of it.

I need to get more dice.  There are a few that I have that are habitual bad-rollers.  I need to get some dice that roll better so they can show the bad dice the proper way to roll.  My large spin-down d20 so far has been a pretty good roller and the regular d20 I traded Ringman for is pretty good.

He got my bad-rolling spin-down. 8D

I did end up dreaming in dice rolls last night.  Hell if I remember the context, but dice rolls were involved.

And the RPG I was playing is a rangeless system, so to thwart that, I whipped out my mat, dug out my figures, and set the game up on the floor.  Dice and figures everywhere.  Don't take my range!  Rangeless is good for online forum RPs, but what's the point of making a tabletop game rangeless?  Storytelling RPs are rangeless, but Edge of the Empire isn't a storytelling RP! [/complaint]

Do tabletop RPGs count?  Ringman and I began an Edge of the Empire campaign, using the beta release of the core rulebook that I got for free from CVI.  He's a duty-bound Trandoshan bodyguard named Dooshk, and I'm an obsessive Gand slicer named Funger.  We're both motivated by a former nemesis.  We took a smuggling job for a Hutt and things went south pretty quick, and as we're just starting out... we're not very good at what we do.  In fact, we're barely competent half the time.  Though, that's mostly due to our horrible luck with dice.

Dice hate us.  Nothing but failures for us.  And as this is a dice pool system that use various types of dice to cancel out other dice, the rare event that we manage to get a Natural 20, the other negative dice cancel  it out, so we fail spectacularly.

After having one of his dice fail over and over again, Ringman picked it up, told it he hated it, and threw it into his pile and got out a different die.

The system uses weird symbol dice, and rather than keep referring to the conversion table, we sacrificed a few dice to put the appropriate symbol stickers on.  I did a lousy job with two of them and now we have two shitty spin-down dice.

Groceries and pizza, and then contemplated finding a gaming store to get more dice.
