I just paid some bills and tomorrow I'm going to pay another bill.  Currently waiting on my laundry, which is in the dryer.

Yeah, the more you do around Lumiose and such, the more things you can unlock.  I've unlocked all of the captions by talking to that one guy in the one cafe on North Boulevard.  Not sure what you need to do to unlock all the music and such, though.

...Time to go check Serebii and see what they say!  I think I have everything unlocked.

QuickEdit: Yeah, max style unlocks the music and such, while speaking to the one guy in Cafe Action! each day gets you all the captions.

I may need to storyboard my next idea.  Knowing my limitations, this may end up being very tricky to do and time it right.

I will make a ten-second cosmic horror.  It will star a Malamar.  It will include insanity.  How I'll go about making this and what the basic plot will be will be tricky.  Definitely need to go through the options, write down what I can do, and then storyboard it.

With some creativity, After Effects, and a lot of patience, you could make an entire movie with these, but you'll need to make them in ten-second chunks and string them together in After Effects.

I couldn't make the murder mystery I wanted and the video just ended up being about encountering a psycho Bisharp.  I did take the time to tighten my editing for The House, though.

I brought this up in the Thinking thread, but I'll repeat it here.

Would anyone be interested in a Trainer PR Video challenge?  Basically, you'd have to make the most interesting video you can, given the limitations.  They can be short vignettes, like the examples I posted, or just the most epic PR Video EVAR.  With the limitations, it forces you to think outside the box in order to tell the story that you want.

Would anyone be interested in doing this?  There won't be a prize, as I'm just curious to see what all people come up with.  If the examples took your idea, it doesn't matter.  See if you can make it better!  If we all end up making haunted house vignettes, then so be it.  Apparently, it's great for short horror flicks. :P

So, I was walking down to the store and a hawk came out of the woods and flew straight at me and I stood there gaping like an idiot.

At the same time, we both had the wise idea to move out of the way, so I sidestepped one way and the hawk veered off in another.

Wasn't expecting that.

I'm going to try to make a murder mystery for my next video.  Bisharp has a great laugh animation and I think if I get creative with facial expressions, camera angles, and time it right, I may be able to have a murder mystery without having an actual body.

Most of these will be "Trainer encounters a Pokemon," but there's a lot you can do with that.

He was online about nine days ago.  I've been 3DS-stalking him.

You should get yourself a decent weight set.  I have a set of adjustable dumbbells that cost maybe $20.  Got them set to 20lbs each, so I'm starting to curl with more than 10-15lbs.  This way you can keep up the strength training at home.

Oh, and Ringman and I just tossed this around...

Would anyone be interested in a Trainer PR Video challenge?  Basically it would be to make the most creative video you can given the limitations.

Blargh, my comic boards don't fit on my scanner.  I think they'll fit on the Xerox, though, so I can print a copy and scan that.

Oh, if you try recording your 3DS, the best way to get decent video from it, particularly with dark backgrounds, is to put the backlight on its lowest setting, and then film in a dark room.

I improvised a darkroom by draping a hoodie over the camera and the 3DS and recorded.  I was also able to isolate the sound a bit better.  I don't have a video camera, so I use the iPad, and a darkroom reduces screen reflection and glare.

I finally decided to name my Houndoom Schwarzen, the German word for blacken, but I couldn't get the a with the 2 dots on top of it.

The umlaut isn't really necessary for the name.  There are a few Schwartzbaughs, Schwartzkopfs, and I've seen some Schwarzen in the phone book.

I'm going to need to start storyboarding any additional videos.  Pokemon options are limited, so the trainer needs to carry most of the story.

Posted the first three Masterpiece Trainer PR Theatre videos.  None of them are porny.  They're all very safe for work and very much G-rated.

The Ditto one was just a moment of perversion, and we haven't made any more.  It was just a "I wonder if we can make this" type thing. :P

Okay, Ringman and I made some videos.  These are just short vignettes, part of a series of videos we like to call...

Masterpiece Trainer PR Theatre

First in our series, our intrepid young trainer becomes an urban explorer.  Some things deserve to stay behind closed doors in...

The House

Next, our heroine finds herself in an unfortunate predicament when her passenger Pokemon loses its precious cargo.  She was unprepared for...

The Fall

Sometime there is a good reason to be afraid of the dark in...

The Thing

Ringman is currently rendering our other videos and tossing them up on Google Drive.  They're not porny this time.  They're short vignettes and are mostly comedy, part of a series called Masterpiece Trainer PR Theatre.

So, last night, Ringman was messing around with the Trainer PR videos.  I made an offhand comment about the NPCs commenting, "At least it's not Ditto porn..."

And then we started seriously thinking about what it would take to make that given the limitations.  Because we're inherently perverted 12-year-olds.

This is the result.

It's safe for work, it's just suggestive as all hell.

Sure.  I have a Mudkip in the Daycare currently, but once I pull it out, the Eevee will go in.  Trojan the Imposter Ditto is doing the job, while DrSmoothLove is on vacation.

Darn, and I just found an Anticipation Eevee hiding in my Bank.  I swapped it for one of my others and I'll breed it later.

....Vegan Black Bean Brownies? o-O

Admittedly I'm curious what my abulea would do if she wanted to make these.

...not sure if gross.

Then again, zucchini bread and brownies are awesome.

I don't think mine have Eevees, either.  I got Dittos, though.  All my Normal Safaris have Dittos.  I am up to my hips in Dittos.  Every trip through the Safari for another Pokemon has me slogging through Dittos.

Want a Ditto? 8D

I doubt it, but I'll check my box tomorrow.  I got a few through Wonder Trade, so there's a chance that I might.

Too bad there aren't a lot of options for your Pokemon in the videos.  Oh well, it forces me to get creative...

Okay, I'm curious...

Anyone else use the Trainer PR videos to (attempt to) make (really) short films?  What do you usually make with them?
