The remainder of the creature's mass flowed back into it as it stood its full height, once more surveying the occupants before it. "Pitiful mortal creatures... For a while, Sonic Drive-Ins were a Southern trend. It's only been recently that I've seen 'em popping up in Maryland and now Pennsylvania. We finally have a Sonic Drive-In in Hanover.

Did you reserve a room at the Hyatt right on the convention centre grounds? For future reference, look for hotels a bit further away from the convention centre, like the Courtyard Marriott, it'll be much cheaper.

A low rumbling preceded the earth's tremor, growing louder and angrier as the divining ritual summoned the very darkness from within the molten core. With a tremendous "Crack!", the ground let go of its resistance, splitting, the heat and flames coursing forth from the glowing chasm. Like a gaseous serpent, smoke slithered forth, curling and twisting. Embers were the eyes of the undulating creature as it reared back to its full height, towering over the huddled masses. Its voice, coming from all around, boomed with such might that it thudded against PB's chest like an intangible sledgehammer.

Black widows and brown recluses around here as well. Along with lynx spiders, orb-weavers, crab spiders, big wolf spiders, tiny jumping spiders, common house spiders... If I recall, one is never more than six feet from a spider throughout their lives.
