Indeed!  I'm glad he's back writing Flash again.  For a while, with his absence, it was actually a bit slow.  Then Johns came back and the Flash picked up speed.

I would not have lasted even 5 seconds in there before running away screaming like a little girl  X(

Heh.  Not too keen on reptiles, insects, and arachnids?

That species of scorpion is docile by nature.  The stinger and venom glands are intact, the tail is functional.  The dealer reached into the enclosure, scooped the scorpion up and sat it in my hands where it crawled around.  I pet its back, it didn't mind being handled.  It's like holding a crayfish.

I went to a reptile expo today.  I got to hold a 9 ft reticulated python, a 3 ft python of the variety's name I did not catch.  The pattern suggests a variety of reticulated, but honestly, I'm not sure.  I also held baby alligators, spiny-tailed lizards, and an emperor scorpion!  I pet bearded dragons, tegus, pygmy chameleons, and a snapping turtle.

Me beside the 9 ft reticulated python (figures the camera goes on the blink when I was holding the snake).

Me with the smaller python.  The pics were taken by my dad who was doing a story about the expo for the Philedelphia Enquirer.

Not the greatest image, but there's a bunch of pygmy chameleons.

Two Parson's Chameleons (I think).

The baby alligators I got to hold.  Quite tame at that age, they don't mind being handled.

The larger baby alligator I did not hold.  Wasn't sure about his temperament.

Didn't catch the common name, but it looks to be an African Spurred Tortoise.

Emerald tree boa.

Baby alligator snappers.

Emperor scorpion as seen under a black light.  Adult scorpions will glow a blue-green under a black light.  That was the scorpion I held.

Overall, pretty cool day.  I mean, how often do you get to hold scorpions?  They also sold varieties of tarantulas (pink toe, red leg, cobalt blue), varieties of scorpions (Emperor, flat rock, deathstalker), roaches (hissing cockroaches, giant winged cockroaches), Asian giant centipedes, varieties of geckos, anoles, iguanas, dragons, skinks, monitors, tegus, boas, pythons, corn snakes, frogs, toads, salamanders, and food for them.  So, there were cages of mice, rats, rabbits, and frozen rodents.

Great series.  That's one of the classics of the comics medium, like having "War and Piece" in your library.

Starting back up in the Outsiders series again.  I lost track of it after the "Checkout" storyarc when my local comic shop closed.  Lots track of a number of series I was following that day.

"Sarcastic" is merely a mild form of "jerk."

Anywho...  I'm also allergic to crustaceans.  Mind you, I can eat crustaceans without a problem, but the juices irritate my skin.  Might be what they were cooked in, I'm not sure.  I have the reaction when I peel and eat shrimp, king crab, crayfish, and lobster.  The skin on my hands will turn red, itch, and get puffy.  I dunno if it happens when I eat clams, mussels, or oysters, as I haven't had those in so long and the last time I ate oysters and clams, I got pretty sick to my stomach.  So, I dunno.

I also get a skin reaction from the adhesive from bandage tape.  Only a certain kind, though, the plastic kind.  I get what looks like a bright red bruise where the adhesive was in contact with my skin.

it just means I can't wear jewelery, need to leave the room when someone uses air freshener, and I can't take penicillin.  Oh, and I drink Lactaid and avoid eating eggs.  That's it.
