Requests will need to wait until after this costume is done. We have one more week to work on this bugger and with Ringman working, progress during the week is slow as alotta it requires more than one person to work on it. We still need to make a run up to our mom's to pick up the tail from the old costume.

Anywho, some progress I made today: Finished the sternum detailing and extended the shoulders.

Got a bit more done with the costume today. Mainly added the four big spines to the back.

Here's a shot of just the head and chest.

Got a lil bit more done on the Xenomorph today as well. The torso can now hold its shape while I work on it and I started on the sternum detailing. I plan to tackle a problem with the head tomorrow.

He is made entirely outta newspaper and duck tape. No expensive materials here, folks.

Newspaper and duck tape, yep. The teeth are also newspaper and duck tape and were individually set. We still have quite a bit of work to do on this.

Just some musculature studies today. I'm concentrating more on the Xenomorph costume lately, rather than cranking out sketches. I have a two-week time limit to build this thing.

Anywho, the sketches.

Two female and one male musculature study with DAT ASS.

Just a musculature study of a character.

That's it for now until I scan some more.

Back in my day, kids weren't protected in hand sanitizer and cushioned playgrounds. We played in the muck and mire, scaled metal jungle gyms on blacktop, fell off of high swings and merry-go-rounds, and ended our recess covered in dirt and with bruises and skinned knees!

And we liked it!

Back in my day, kids could play competitive sports at a young age without some concerned parent worrying that losing would be detrimental to a child's ego, and instead would rather eliminate the concept of winning and losing and raise emotionally-maladjusted kids.

Back in my day, cartoons were actually hand-drawn, frame by frame, by animators using a lightbox and celluloid film! None of this here fancy-schmancy Flash animation or CGI, where they got this here new-fangled contraption that fills in the extra animation between each key frame.

Back in my day, kids indulged in sensible fads, like Pogs and slap bracelets, rather than these Silly Bandz.

Back in my day, our CGI was nothing more than untextured vector graphics and bolean polygons, none of this here new-fangled volumetric lighting and Mental Ray rendering.

We spent most of the day cleaning, and Ringman played Plants Vs Zombies. And I almost tried using wiki markup to italicize that. Then, I planned how I'm gonna build the rest of a torso and start on a crotch piece. For a costume.
