Jesus should have just quit the game.

Now that I have seen the hairstyle...  I like it.  I like this version of the trident hairstyle.  The cowlick on the back of the neck was a nice touch.

And as for the digital sketch... The linework is pretty tight.  Though, I wonder... When drawing a figure, do you sketch out the bare bones (a glorified stick figure) of the pose prior to fleshing out all the details?  Or do you go straight to the final touches and skip the other steps?  If you use simple sketches to build a pose on paper, you can do the same digitally.  I often start my digital pics off with a simple, quick sketch of the pose in a light blue on the background layer.  Then, I add a new layer and start fleshing it out.  Because one works digitally doesn't mean they need to change how they draw.

I'm not really a figure-collector, but wouldn't there be problems with small air bubbles in the plastic or something?

That's the thing about vac-metallicizing; no air bubbles.  It's vacuum-molded.

Anywho, I bought an outfit for a wedding I'm attending next week.  After that's over, I promise you pics of me in a dress.

And I haven't worn a dress in fifteen years.

Snapped this today through the window of a van while crossing the Susquehanna River.

Holy feck. What is that? It's handsome.

Spiny leaf insect.  Also known as a giant leaf insect and giant walking stick, giant stick insect, spiny stick insect, etc.  They're quite docile, make great insect pets.  However, when startled, they will release a really foul-smelling musk that is difficult to remove from your hands.

As Mike Rowe found out when handling such an insect, the smell has a "definite wang to it."

Well, I now have a colored version that took me about a week to do, mainly because the image is pretty darn big.

Both this version and the black-and-white version are going in my portfolio.

Some day, I will have the space and the money to build my insect menagerie.

Starting with this gorgeous specimen.

I have a similar thought going through my head.  I need to invest in orthotics for my jackboots.  Yay, flat feet!

Well, now I know where the laundromat is.  $2 for the small washing machines, though...  Sheesh.  Other laundromats charge $1.25.  And 25 cents for four minutes?  The laundromat in Gettysburg charges 25 cents for seven minutes!

$8 laundry bill, though...  More than I hoped, but still cheaper than some people.

Metallic finishes on figures and how resilient they are to chipping depends on the manufacture.  If I recall, vac-metallicizing the plastic, in which the metallic finish is layered beneath a clear plastic, will protect it from chipping.  However, vac-metallicizing is pretty expensive and most manufacturers go the cheap route and just apply a metallic finish.

Anywho, I bought time to use a washer and dryer at the laundromat.

Then, I got ramen.  Authentic MeiMei tom yum seafood flavor ramen, in these neat lil plastic bowls.  I love this stuff.

I also got fruit pudding.  Mango, lychee, and kiwi flavor.  Already had one of the lychee cups.

I got some incense from that grocer that sold the Iberian packaged Embarrassing Feminine Hygiene Products™.

Egyptian musk.  Smells great.

Gah, the resolution on this computer sucks so much.  It's all squashed and huge and strange.  But, it's not my computer, else I'd fix it.

Buying Iberian products? Where?

Local inner-city mom-and-pop grocery store that sells lots of incense and smells funny inside.

My day thus far was rainy.  While I love rain, my asthmatic lungs apparently do not.  This morning was filled with coughing.  Almost reached for the inhaler, but I hate using the damn thing, so I just hack up the phlegm and move on with my day.

Ran to the store for some needed things, then hung out in the drop-in center downstairs, read and made more notations in an "On Writing Horror" book, and shortly I'll be heading back to the apartment to make dinner.

Hm.  I have enough notations in this book to just put together my own book.  But, doing so would be pretentious.

I did laundry.  I did laundry the day before.

And the towels that I washed shed lint EVERYWHERE.  And they still shed.

Those blue-and-navy striped towels at Walmart?  Don't buy 'em.  They shed worse than a cat.

My day, thus far, has been okay.  This weekend, though, I get to look forward to moving my stuff from the apartment and into storage until December, and dealing with my brother and his fiancee glaring at me the whole time, as if I'm some burglar.  :|

I wonder, would a court convict me if I beat them both with a baseball bat?
