Today I had to do my laundry.  I didn't have any quarters.

So, I walked a mile or so down the road to a local laundromat, and I got quarters there.  I walked back, gathered my laundry, and took it to the laundry center across the parking lot from my apartment.

Let's look at this again:  I walk a mile to the laundromat to get quarters so that I can do laundry in the laundry center across the parking lot.  The laundromat is close enough to walk to get quarters, but too far to haul my laundry on foot.  And the laundry center doesn't have a change machine.

The irony is strong with this one.

I learned that I get more questions about my SW stuff than I do about my two-foot-tall Batman figure standing in my living room.

I also learned that my snooze button hates me.  I hit the snooze for five minutes and wake up nearly an hour later as my doorbell rings!

Your knee again/further/still, Q-chan?  Dang, bra.  That knee is never going to recover!  XD

It acted up today, so I'm hoping it feels better soon.  Otherwise, I'm not going to bend it much.  Hurts to sit and stand.  Walking and running, though, feels fine, but woe betide me if I dare crouch!

Which fan base are you talking about?

I hazard it has something to do with an anime named after various undergarments.

Get a black bodysuit, then go to Goodwill and get a two-piece suit and a fedora.  Go as the Invisible Man.  No one will be able to tell in the dark.

Get a blue bodysuit and the same ensemble and in post production, you can key yourself out and you'll be invisible! :D

Heh, I know all about the obscurity of the power nerd...  And so does my local Wal-mart's electronics section.

"Hello, I'm looking for an SATA/IDE-to-USB adapter.  Do you stock these?"

"..."

It's an entire series and it was aired roughly around the same time as the Ewoks cartoon series.

I don't recall such Pokémon jokes.  When I was in school, we were all about the Pogs.

Squeezing your waist forces your guts up into your chest cavity.  It limits your lung capacity.

Lucasfilm needs to get off their ass and give us a DVD release of that series!  I watched the episodes with IG-88 in just so I could mimic his voice.  I mean, dammit, that show had IG-88 in it!

My bedroom has Star Wars posters all over.  :P  It's only my living room that I change the decor in.  Though, it does have a B-wing starfighter, my Zuckuss mini-bust, my lightsaber, a plushy four-sided die, and a giant Batman figure that I sometimes put hats on...

Ornamental carp, usually kept in garden ponds.  Similar coloration as goldfish (which are also a type of carp), though koi bodies are more torpedo-shaped and they have small whiskers at the corners of their mouths.

The picture I got curbside special is a large print of a watercolor painting.  It goes nicely with the tiger wall scroll that I have already, so I moved my Giger poster from my living room and put the koi in its place.  Opens up the room more, too.

I did that back in the day at school and when my dad would turn the bathroom into a darkroom, but no, I was repositioning a wall hanger and moving a picture in my living room.  Someone put a nice pic of some koi out for trash pick-up, so I brought it back and hung it up.

I'm nearsighted, but it's not that bad.  I don't need too much correction.

Anywho, I learned that if you don't hold onto the picture hanger with one hand while pulling the sticky tab with the other, the damn thing will snap back and bite your hand.  I have a nasty bruise on my finger now and it hurts like the dickens to type.

I haven't had many problems with wasps and have been able to handle them without being stung.  Most wasps avoid confrontation.  It's the yellow jackets that tend to be more aggressive and sting with little provocation, but even then, I haven't been stung that often by them.  Recently, though, one crawled up my pant leg and stung me about three times.  Dunno how it got into my pant leg or why.

We also have giant hornets, cicada killers, mud dauber wasps, paper wasps, spider wasps, cricket hunters...  I can get up close to all of them and observe them as they go about their business.  I don't bother them and they don't bother me.  They avoid confrontation.

And wasps drink nectar and pollinate flowers as they feed.
