One time, years ago, my brother and I (along with a close friend of ours) happened upon two preying mantises going at it on a stepladder with a third on the other end of it just watching. Our friend startled the two going at it and the female ended up killing the one watching while the one who just got laid managed to escape scot-free.

That was one lucky preying mantis right there.

I'll say!   Brings a whole new meaning to "getting lucky."

I'm still waiting for my mantis egg case to hatch.  I guess I could bring it inside and speed up the process... but then I'd have hundreds of little babies to deal with.

Mabel is a sweetheart.  I already gave my landlord a copy of her vaccination record, and next month, I pay the $100 deposit.  Then, Mabel comes to live with me!  She's already seen the place.  She likes my couch.

It's not the strumming that hurts.  I can strum and pick all day long and it's better if you learn to strum with your fingers.  It's holding down the strings!
