It just means that I study closely how the figures are built and learn to make my own stop-motion puppets.  I've already started with sculpting ball joints... with mixed results.

It also means Mewtwo might be in for some rough play.  Good thing those ball joints pop back on! 8D

I have ordered my first D-Arts this evening.  I dropped the cash on Mewtwo.

Will this become a regular thing?  Doubt it.  These figures are too expensive for me to get hooked on.

I got hit hard with the tireds today, so I took a quick nap.  I woke up, still dreaming, thinking I was drawing superheroes carrying giant keyboards through storms, and my shower curtain rod was held up by a cartoon snake head.

Well, just think of how the destruction of the Death Star impacted the budget!  They were already in the red for just building the damn thing.  And the cost of a Star Destroyer's single hyperspace jump is worth more than some planets' entire economy!

ALL MUST LOVE CHOCOLATE!

*ahem*

I like chocolate ice cream, but not as much as I like chocolate frozen custard.  Oooooh...

At least there was one good Domino pic in that tiny bunch.

Slave Leia is fine, too.

Dirty pillows?  Nah.  Dirty beanbag chairs!

I should dig out my sculpting tools and see if I can sculpt a better face.

You did? Huh.

I still find it incredibly goofy, wanting to buy large-scale replicas of old toys for inflated prices.

Yeah, it is a bit much.  I'm an unboxer, so displaying items in the package doesn't work for me.  I like good articulation in my large size action figures, as I use them for animation, so this Jumbo line also doesn't work for me.  The only reason that I would even consider buying any of them is because for some parts of my collection, I'm a completist.  If they come out with a nice jumbo Zuckuss vintage, I'd be very, very tempted.

But, the price is what deters me.  The last Gentle Giant item I bought was a Zuckuss mini-bust on eBay for super cheap.

By the way, I mentioned the figures here.

Would you pay $75 for an action figure with 80's articulation and sculpting? (As in, not very good or accurate.)

Those are Gentle Giant's large scale figures.  I've mentioned them before.  They're meant to be displayed in the package, so they're not something I'm after.

As for Megaman...  Dare I say it, but I personally think the MvsC figure had a better likeness!

(Well... you did cause Giovanni to fall off the wagon, hard.  The man's vengeful.)

(They do.)

(Commandeering Fett for downtime...)

Fett shook his head but remained quiet as he walked along with the other hunters.  His hand was resting on the butt of his blaster rifle, just in case.  Bossk's brashness would definitely get them all killed, he surmised.  The Trandoshan was ruthless, but also blind.  He would sooner cover the area in an erratic spray of fire, missing everything in sight.  Perhaps, Fett thought, Bossk should do that.  It would be his own fault, then, should he get hit.

In front of him, he watched Zuckuss scurrying behind 4-LOM.  Small fry.  How the Gand even made it to such heights of notoriety as himself and the others still eluded him.  With that less-than-imposing stature and tendency to flee from a fight, along with other odd quirks that Fett had noticed over the years, to him, Zuckuss simply was not cut out for the trade.  No wonder he partnered often.

Beside Fett, his vacuum suit looking a bit worse for wear, Greedo scowled behind the transparent face plate.  This one showed a degree of intelligence from time to time, Fett nodded.  Though, his brashness, much like Bossk, would surely be his downfall.  At least, he admitted, the Rodian could hold his own in a firefight.  He knew how to shoot properly.  Not a wild spray of wasted shots, Greedo knew to take his time, aim, and fire.  And some of those holes drilled into the mercenaries were testament.  Perhaps there was a bit more to this scrawny green cocksure creature than most realized...

Fett pulled himself out of his musings for a moment to study IG-88, who was vying with Bossk for leadership rights.  He rather preferred the droid's calculated methods, as they reminded him of himself.  And at this moment, long after one legitimate question had been drowned out by back-and-forth bickering, Fett decided to speak.

"If you are unsure of what's beyond the airlock, one of the droids must have a sensor array.  Employ an infra-red sensor sweep."  There.  Simple answer to a simple question.

12470
(Tomorrow, if Fett or Greedo have not posted, I will be commandeering their characters in order to get this moving along.  We still have an airlock to sit in and wait for it to cycle.  Downtime is an opportunity for free play and banter.  You can work on settling in with your character and developing them!  And you don't have to worry about dice rolling or stats, or even waiting for your turn!)

I have yet to truly break a bone, knock on wood.  The closest I've come were several stress fractures, the most recent being my right foot.  I smashed my left kneecap real good and it took weeks for it to heal, but it was never x-rayed.

MM slide, because I am a sucker for the classics.

Staying up all night despite knowing that you need to be up and about in the morning, or going to bed at a decent hour and getting a full night's rest?

I fell down the cellar stairs when I was two.  May account for why I am a bit... loopy.
