Mewtwo's ear swivelled, hearing the commotion. "What in the...?"  He turned around, seeing Heirophant already in battle, and the inept trio flying down from their destroyed balloon.  "Well."  He took off and landed nearby, arms folded across his chest.  "Once again, becoming involved in an incident which does not concern you..."

Quickie jogged over and stopped beside Mewtwo.  "Is this about those cards and that freakish Skitty?"

"Cards?  Skitty?"  Mewtwo looked to Quickie.

"Long story," Quickie dismissed it.

"Then, it is a viable option," Mewtwo nodded.

Quickie excused herself from her conversation with Ahrzayl and stepped over to Mewtwo.  "Before you guys got back, I told everyone that we'll have to leave soon after."  She nodded to the Pokemon Center. "My stuff's all ready."

"Excellent," Mewtwo nodded again.  He resumed cleaning his arm.

"Oh, I started battling again," Quickie said cautiously.

Mewtwo looked up.

"To prove myself worthy to go in after you," Quickie nodded. "Against Jessie and James."

Mewtwo's eyes widened. "They were here?!"  He stood to his full height.  "Are they gone?  Did you see where they went?"

Quickie pointed towards the outskirts of town.  "Of course, they didn't believe me.  That's why I battled."

Mewtwo was quiet for a moment.  He let out a harsh breath, which was followed up by a slight cough, and he swallowed.  "I would have liked to have seen them again.  Perhaps we will meet once more..."

Mewtwo paused in his licking and glanced up, the tip of his tongue sticking out of his mouth.  He licked his chops, then shook his head.  "I was going to get some water, as I am thirsty."  He resumed cleaning for a moment, then stopped as the bandage got caught on his tongue.  He shook his head again, then looked around.  "We should make preparations and soon depart.  Though, since it is possible we may have Ahrzayl on our side, we could very well use her transport," he glanced at the ship for a moment, "though, it may not be as inconspicuous as we would prefer."

Wily also stepped out of the airship and explained himself quickly.  He patted his labcoat pocket, feeling the CD inside, complete with the imaging data.  He hadn't an opportunity to actually study the scans himself, and while he had deleted the files on Team Rocket's computer, he was partially glad that he managed to keep the CD.  He looked over to Mewtwo as the clone cleaned himself, noting the IV still secured in his neck-tube, and Wily reminded himself to remove it when he had a chance. 

He knew, however, that such a chance would not present itself right away, as he was quite certain that Team Rocket would not allow them to run for very long until launching yet another assault.  Though, with the amount of damage the base sustained and how meticulous Giovanni was about security, breaches would be dealt with, first.  Then, cleaning up Mewtwo's mess.  And Wily knew from experience that Mewtwo can create quite the mess.

I think I'll start bringing in some symptoms of the impending tracking chip infection.  Nothing to really tip anyone off yet, but enough so that it doesn't come completely from left field.  A cough here, some fatigue there, then eventually a fever.

The male strays had a habit of spraying everything.  Everything.  As I said, thank Arceus that Mewtwo doesn't do that, particularly when we factor in how big cats spray.

Well, our cats deposited such lovely gifts at the door, as we wouldn't let them bring it inside.  Then, there were the times when the cats would kill something, eat it, and leave its guts on the porch...

...which is something that Mewtwo won't be doing because it's simply horrifying.

Oh, yes, and let's not forget what non-neutered male cats do!  Thank Arceaus Mewtwo doesn't do that!

"I am glad to be back, but we have other--" Mewtwo turned away and his shoulders began heaving as his stomach lurched. "Huack!  Huack!  Huack!  HWARF!"  After spitting the hairball on the ground, he coughed a few times, wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then returned his gaze to the others.  "I apologize for that.  What was I saying?"

Someone was playing with firecrackers, so Mabel's nervous.  She growled and is now laying on the floor behind my chair.

Which makes me tempted to give Mewtwo more catlike quirks.  He's fine with thunder, as evidenced by that he'll freely make his own storms, but what about firecrackers?  If someone sets off a firecracker, does his tail poof up and he starts growling?

Looks like no rest for the weary.  At some point, I'll cut to Team Rocket and tackle a perimeter sweep, where they'll mostly chase Chariot away, if they spot him.  Their focus will be on securing the perimeter, then on relocation, as their security has been compromised.

After Ahrzayl does her thing, I vote for a time-skip, unless White-Jet has any plans.  If anything, though, I plan to cut to Team Rocket and skip ahead a bit, anyway.  Pyro and I need to get the ball rolling on a couple things on their end.

It may include some insights into Giovanni's past, which may help explain some of his alcoholism.  Traumatic childhood for the win!

I'm still waiting on my costuming reference, so I can't work on my next commission until I get it.  And seeing as how today is a Game of Storms (duh-huh), then any outdoor activities have been postponed.  I have a side project planned, another experiment with gouache, so I could always work on that...

Just pointing out that Team Rocket's new focus at the moment isn't Mewtwo.  Granted, he's still on their mind, but they know he's a problem, he's violent and destructive, and they can't keep him contained, so until they can figure out a way to do so, he's on the back burner.

Giovanni turned his focus to something else, now.
