Back in the van, Officer Jenny's radio let out a burst of static. "Fuchsia PD, go ahead."

"What's your ETA?"

"ETA is about ten minutes," Jenny responded, "traffic's been hell, over."

"Is the precious cargo present?"

"Affirmative.  Cargo has also been informed about the DPA, and it acknowledged it and says that it will keep itself under control.  Its trainers will help restrain it, over."

There was a pause before the other voice responded. "Acknowledged, but in accordance to the DPA, the usage of deadly force is left to the discretion of the defending precinct.  If we feel that the situation warrants it, we will act."

"Then, why haven't you opened fire, yet?!" Jenny was aghast.  "Clearly, it's causing damage and falls under DPA jurisdiction!"

"We have!  Bullets go right through it!  We haven't even slowed it down!"  There was a pause before the other party continued. "If your cargo can take down our target, all the more better.  We're just shooting at Kleenex, here!"

"I'll hit the lights, then, see if I can't clear some of this traffic," Jenny nodded, "Sirens?"

"Nix.  We don't want it knowing that you're coming."

"Acknowledged, over and out," Jenny reached above her and switched on the lights, then proceeded to hit the gas. "If you guys aren't buckled in, shame on you and get buckled up."

Quickie nodded and checked her seatbelt, then leaned over to help Mewtwo figure his out. "Buckled up."

If Ringman and I were still working on the MM Wolf3D engine, it would be advertised in the Fan Games section.  But, we're not.  We're not into fan games that much, either, thus I don't frequent that forum and Ringman doesn't frequent similar.  But, we do appreciate the amount of work that goes into some of them.

While that it would be nice for some of those other members to spread out into the boards, we can't say that we're any better.  The farthest I've gone was the Fan Creations, and the well has pretty much run dry, as all I draw is SW stuff.  The well has also run dry for MM-related topics that I could discuss that haven't already been discussed a million times over.  Capcom simply hasn't given us much to work with.

In terms of approving accounts, if I get one hit on any of the sites I use to check IPs and e-mail addresses, I won't approve that account.  Many legitimate accounts are rejected due to that.  This isn't an exact science and I'm still learning how to better spot bots, and two years ago, I wasn't as good at it.  So, I take the blame for that.

Domino let out a groan and accessed her computer. "Hold on, I'll post your bail..."  After a few moments, she returned to the phone. "All right, you should be good to go.  The bail was posted anonymously.  After this, you're to get out of town immediately.  Head to Route 11, but put on a disguise or something!"

As she talked, she was already digging supplies out of her bag and working to pull her blonde hair into pigtails.  Why let the other agents have all the fun?  And why should she count on them when they've screwed up enough already?  It was time to show them how things were done.  It was time to bring out Harley, from the Pokemon Institute, as she couldn't use her old alias.  Domino chuckled to herself as she looked at her reflection in her compact and adopted a thick, piercing Queens accent. "Time to impress Mistah G..."

(Domino is bored with sitting around, so she's going to get out there and have some fun!  And yes, her Harley Quinn identity is intentional.  Felt like being silly.)

"It talks, it's yours," Domino said simply.  "Whatever, don't worry about it.  Just get there and make sure that clone goes down, along with the rest of its buddies."

Something still bothered her, however, about those other cloned Pokemon.  The cloning projects were scrapped shortly after Mewtwo, as other clones simply did not survive.  The fact that Mewtwo survived, even though its genetic code had more typos than a dyslexic highschooler's last-minute term paper, was hailed by other scientists on Team Rocket's payroll as a miracle.  The fact that it was still living was also shocking.  And the fact that it befriended other clones that were still alive and well was even more shocking.  Where did those clones come from?  Did Mewtwo make them?  Why?  How?

Not only were those clones alive, but they were fertile!  Domino recalled the baby Nidoqueen, something that would not happen naturally.  It was cute, but, seriously--how?

Back at base, Domino contacted James. "I heard on the police scanner that Mewtwo and its group have gotten a police escort to Route 11.  The authorities in that area have also been alerted to Mewtwo's arrival and they talked about the possibility of using lethal force against it, should it prove to be dangerous."  She paused to look at the news and check the whereabouts of the impostor. "See if you can't... encourage it a bit.  The community will already be after it, the police are standing by, ready for it, and it's on its way to protect its little friends.  And..." she trailed off as she saw footage of a Meowth attacking the impostor. "...is that your Meowth?"

She didn't have long to dwell on that as her phone rang and she answered it. "009, go ahead."

"Oh, before we get too far," Officer Jenny spoke up, "I heard your discussion back there.  Vermilion City is not my jurisdiction, but it is my sister-in-law's.  And we've been keeping in contact with each other regarding what's been happening.  I'm going to tell you this now; it is imperative that you keep your emotions in check, Mewtwo," she took her eyes off the road long enough to look directly at him. "We do have a protocol that we follow in the very rare event that a Pokemon actually kills someone.  If Mewtwo rages out of control, combined with its history in Fuchsia, we are authorized to follow that protocol."  She did not specify what that protocol was, but figured that everyone could guess.

Quickie again bit her bottom lip.  She unzipped her backpack and felt inside for the Master Ball, which was sitting under Tarot Skitty.  Zipping the backpack closed, she looked to Mewtwo. "Promise me that you'll keep a clear head."

Mewtwo did not respond for a very long moment.  Finally, he nodded. "I will work to keep my power under control."

Mewtwo thought about that.  He knew that the fight would not be pretty, and he knew that at some point, it would become emotionally-charged.  But, he also had to protect his fellow creations, and would do so, by any means necessary.  He just hoped that it would not end up playing out like Mount Quena.  That situation went downhill fast.

"I know that!" Mewtwo snapped. "And I know that this entire mess was my doing!  I had the gall to think that for one moment, I could be as random and sponteneous as Pyro, and look at where that got me!" He folded his arms in a huff. "As soon as this is over, I will go back into hiding."

"No, you won't," Quickie shook her head, "You will learn from this and move on."

Officer Jenny gave a nod and began to drive.

Quickie looked to Mewtwo and put her hand on his shoulder. "Take a deep breath and count to ten.  You are better than this.  Don't let you emotions get the better of you.  You can handle this."

Mewtwo nodded and sucked in a deep breath, counting to himself.  He then let it out slowly, stretching his arms as if his anger were flowing from them. "This is going to be difficult."

"It is, but you can do this," Quickie nodded.

Quickie looked to Mewtwo, who was seething with urgency, worry, and rage.  And the rage portion seemed to be growing.  Though, the rage wasn't targeted solely toward Carr, but rather it was obvious that Mewtwo was angry at himself for essentially starting this whole mess from one stupid mistake that he didn't quite think through.  It's just that Carr had taken Mewtwo's form, giving him an effigy.  A physical manifestation for him to focus all of his rage without targeting himself.

The look in his eyes was dark and focused on some far off horizon.  Each breath was essentially a hiss, and he was clenching and unclenching his fists.  Despite the promise he made to Wily, it was becoming more and more evident that Mewtwo would not maintain rationality during this encounter.

Quickie bit her bottom lip and looked at her backpack, thinking about the Master Ball hidden inside.  A cold ball formed in the pit of her stomach.  She may have to use the Master Ball just to prevent Mewtwo from adding another body to his total.

"Hey, we're heading out right now.  Mewtwo's pretty anxious to go.  I'm sure you've seen the news, and the sooner we get to Route 11, the better."  She paused, looking back at Mewtwo, who resumed his aggressive pacing at the back entrance. "He's not taking it well...  His clones are involved."

Mewtwo was already on his way to the back entrance, with Quickie following close behind to make sure he didn't do anything stupid.  On his way, he could hear the news reports, and each mention of his fellow clones being brainwashed only served to heighten his urgency and make him angrier.  The upcoming fight would not be pretty, nor would it rely solely on psychic powers.

Mewtwo's hands balled into tight fists.  If he got his hands on that impostor, he would throttle the life out of it...
