At least that is what needs to be done in the novels I am told. Seriously, they could have done that in 2 episodes by fastforwarding the events several times over, and not make it several episodes. Watching Haruhi in various swimsuits and yukatas gets boring after a while.

When you think about it, it's a very wierd type of trolling. It's the same deal every episode, but it's animated and recorded completely new every time.

Umm… I guess it’s okay now?
Endless Eight was organized to be produced as 6 episodes.
Kadokawa’s back sponsor got furious and by the time it was too late, the producer had been fired.
There was huge confusion over whether they were going to skip the produced 4th and 5th episodes and skip to airing the 6th.

By the way, the 6 ep organization was Kadokawa’s instructions.
The fired producer was a scape goat to appease the angry back sponsors.
Kadokawa’s ultimate goal was to blow smoke over the fans by having 12 episodes that would consist of E8, Sigh, and a new Mikuru’s adventure.
And the disappearance images they had pulled from would remain exactly that… (Unsure)
Currently Kadokawa does not feel like animating Disappearance

The purpose of this new production is simple to pull money from the fans (Extreme paraphrase) “

Someone on Random Curiosity posted something from 2channel that Endless Eight was scheduled to be 6 episodes and then some stuff happened with angry sponsors and offed scapegoat producers and all...Seriously, what the hell?

This.

I actually love this series, but I won't deny it has some flaws, mainly that all the promising twists and turns of the story turned out to be somewhat weak and boring and generally more like one would expect it from this kind of series, in particular the thing with the souls of those who were "sacrificed" returning back to normal. Not to mention that it looks like they managed to ruin the relationship between Jack and Carly (aka "Retributionshipping") by bringing her back to life and have her remember nothing from when she was a Dark Signer. Which on second thought doesn't entirely make sense, because she came to the realization that she fell in love with Jack BEFORE she died.

Oh yeah, and Aki gets more and more like the other primary female cast from the previous shows, pretty useless. She was such an awesome character but they reduce her to almost nothing now.

The girl in the middle~ Who is she?

Izayoi Aki.

She used to be badass because she has psychic powers that made damage during duels real and all, but even though she's a Signer like Yusei, she's getting more and more reduced to a background character. Not to mention that for whatever reason, all episodes where she duels are very badly animated and this image is even more so proof of it.

Actually, we have. He used his Duel Disk together with Carly when he was confronted by Rudger controlled Ushio.

Seeing Jack around Yusei and Crow strikes me a little awkward because it kind of destroyed his loner awesomeness. Then again, Jack is not Kaiba. I'm just praying they're not going to drop a rock on the whole relationship between him and Carly. And yes, a highway just for duels is awesome.

Also, am I the only one who's sorta reminded of Dartz when looking at that main guy from the new antagonists?
