Watched all of Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage in one sitting right after I came home from work. Damn, I want more (even though the ending leaves a wierd taste in my mouth).

I didn't know MicroSoft did the graphics for this game.

No, but you'd think that both the PC and the Xbox versions would look the same.

I think this is more due to the limits on the consoles versus the nigh infinite resources the PC has in comparison. It's to be expected if this is a game built with PC optimization in mind.

You are forgetting that 99% of home computers run the OS that was developed by the same guys whose property is the Xbox 360. You'd kinda expect both of these would get equal treatment, no?

Cracking screens w/ the batarang is already too awesome enough as it is.

Except you can't crack anything else. At least I wasn't able to make fire extinguishers blow up with a batarang. You can't even break freaking glass unless you stand on it and execute the break move. You can't break light sources either. Even Batman Begins on the PS2 could do that.

Why of course you're laughing. Your Tsundere girl gets the movie treatment afterall >_>

So, whose money is on the fish scene instead of actual sex?

Finished the first season/set of Black Lagoon. God, this stuff is awesome. I've never seen that much swearing and cursing in an anime before. Gonna start Second Barrage tomorrow.

Lou has had NOTHING but positive reviews of this game.  Can't wait.

Also, I am the Night!

One thing that's kinda pissing me off though is that the Windows version apparently will have additional graphical options than the console versions. Like more destroyable environment, additional physics (like moving paper on the ground or cloth banners on the ceiling being moved by wind), fog etc. Perhaps all that stuff simply wasn't in the console demo, but I'm not sure.

I feel so much rage inside of me because...because it actually looks so awesome O:<

It [tornado fang]ing annoys me that UBW and possibly HF get movie adaptions and thus a bigger budget and the Fate route looks mediocre a lot of times.

Took me almost 3 hours to download that thing. But it was worth every second of it. Already played through the thing twice and I'm gonna play it once more in a few minutes. God, this game is amazing, even just from this short demo. For once, a really [tornado fang]ing awesome superhero video game. The Batman Begins one was pretty decent and way above most other games of that genre I played, but Arkham Asylum seems to beat all of those. The combat system is pretty cool, even though you only have basically one button for attacking (is there even a blocking move?), one for stunning with the cape and one for countering if the situation allows it, the fights are really quite impressive looking and dynamic, it's always a different motion and different moves, unlike most other senseless beat 'em up games of this kind. Definately, striking from the shadows will take up a major part of the combat in the game, because in pretty much all other games of this kind, you can get gunned down pretty easily. I died during my first run through the demo in the final room with the four armed thugs.

The demo so far only shows a small fraction of what's possible in the game, but it definately leaves desire for more. It's nice how enemies start freaking out when Batman does some stuff unseen. I really liked that feature in the Batman Begins game, though that one was pretty fixed with the situations you could do it in. There also is a little Splinter Cell feel to it, like Batman Begins, due to the sneaking, hiding etc. I hope the game is not so linear like Batman Begins and that there'll be several paths to achieving an objective than the most obvious one.

So far, I just have two gripes with the game. Perhaps it fits because Batman is a big, heavy, muscular man, but I personally think he's moving a bit slow when just walking. And I also don't like it when he's getting in touch with Oracle and can't do anything besides walking. The other thing I didn't like is the localization of the demo over here. They used Christian Bale's German voice actor for Batman, and I don't really like that one. I really hope that the full version of the German game will have switchable language tracks, because I want to play Batman with Kevin Conroy's voice and fight the Joker with Mark Hamill's.
Ended up changing the language of my console from German to English. That was enough to do the trick. Already worked back on the GameCube with Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time.

Really looking forward to the game.

Just preordered the Xbox 360 limited edition of Batman - Arkham Asylum. I just hope the money that's still left by the end of the month is enough to pay for it though >_>;

The way I see it, most people were only collecting the Pokémon TCG back in the day, they did not play it. I for one never really played it, just collected it. I only played the game in it's GBC form, but that was years ago and I hardly remember the rules anymore. Yu-Gi-Oh!, the way I see it, keeps the whole thing a lot fresher and it's more easy to play, thus supporting it's popularity.

(Ab)used my dad's relatively new flatscreen TV in combination with my notebook and my dad's HDMI cable to catch up on some anime:

CANAAN 4 + 5
Candy Boy EX2
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's 68 - 70
Lupin III VS Detective Conan

It sure is trendy to hate on DEEN

Studio DEEN is part of the Anime Axis of Evil with GONZO and J.C.Staff.

Sorry, but I'm not the kind of guy who likes trash movies or anything trash-related. And no, Jyonouchi with a Brooklyn accent is just stupid.

Get in line, pal.

Not when it's about the Japanese dub of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. The Seiyuu are just too awesome for that.

If that's the case, nevermind.

Yet, you as someone from the UK gets A LOT MORE ANIME than people on the European shore. I already imported several anime series from the UK because no one bothered to release them anywhere else in Europe.

Hm....valid point. I never specifically mentioned Funimation, but....

But you thought it. Everybody nowadays thinks that FUNimation is North America's Anime Messiah since they started picking up so many series from Geneon, ADV and so on.

FUNimation's got enough on their hands I'm afraid.

Most awesome thing ever. All sorts of awesome mystic haxx clashing against one another. If this is going to be a battle royale, they need to make one for the rivals, a battle of the coats I guess. Kaiba VS Ryo VS Jack.

I just finished ZZ Gundam.  Great series.  I highly enjoyed it.  As of now, Judau Ashta is my favorite Gundam pilot.

...

My respect for you dropped massively. Judau is punk, totally irresponsible and lacks in piloting skills. Sure, he's a strong Newtype, but to think this guy beat Haman while neither Kamille nor Char could even touch her is preposterous.
