Guides. Really. Otherwise, get used to the usual motions usually found in arcade games, such as quarter circles, half circles, 360 rotation. It all depends on the game and character, too. Some characters have moves where you have to hold back, then foward + Button. When trying to get into it at first, it does look daunting trying to remember this stuff but you soon find which characters you click with and which ones to avoid.

And practice at home. It may be hard to transition from joy stick to controller or vice versa, but at least knowing what to do going in gives you something to work with when readjusting. Luckily, most fighting games don't change up too many moves, if any, in the sequel, so you should be good to go if you try an older game

More generic girl animu fighters. I won't be able to play it until I have a better PC, though.

Wasn't the original definition of a maverick a reploid with circuitry malfunctions in their brain or whatever? Doesn't that make Vile the poster boy for mavericks what with his [tornado fang]'d up brain?

I've seen plenty of arcade games use normal instructions that didn't need numbers. Plus, by the time I even got to it, I was pretty raged out.

And yeah, I got the basics, its when the more complicated stuff comes into, which seems to involve pressing several buttons at once, which seems pretty uncomfortable.

I know there was a topic about this game already, thanks to the wonderful search engine, but it hasn't been touched since about November and I was going to necropost that out of hell :P

So, I recently picked this game up. I'm getting my ass kicked mainly because I have no [tornado fang]ing clue whats going on. I've searched for a guide, but the only one I found was an absolutely horrendous piece of [parasitic bomb] opting to do the most fuckheaded things such as replace U,D,L,R with [tornado fang]ing numbers (because when you're trying to figure out whats going on, NUMBERS are gonna make it so much simpler) and other awful guide writing stuff.

Basically, I'm needing controls. The one thing the guide did specify is that I'm going to be pushing quite a few buttons for some of the heavier attacks (shame it went with the retarded numbers scheme). I know some of you were looking into this game, and have played it (PB, you magnificient bastard), so could I get some help here?

I'll just get my Hershey's chocolate straight from the source.
Well aren't you just a lucky sob. I actually was at Hershey Park a few years back, it was absolutely fucktastic. Being a chocoholic, they had to drag me out of the store by my ankles.
