OK my last crappy shots for tonight:
Wii Music storyboard
Animal Crossing's city hand drawn
Mario Kart Wii track and vehicle concepts
Employees experimenting with the DSi camera
Boring offices (must be the accounting section)
Rhythm Tengoku Gold hand drawings
For a second I thought they're working on a remake of Link's Awakening.
Then I realized it was Wii Sports Resort.
Then I was sad.
I think it is from the small book for the recruitment of new employees at Nintendo for this year. Every company here in Japan makes these kinds of pamphlets to attract universities students to apply for a job at their company. I actually have the one for last year (got it at my school), but I was disappointed they didn't send us the one for this yearGotta find a way to get it !!!
The one I had was printed on very nice paper and had many pictures of how Nintendo offices look like, some prototype, artworks, etc...
Precisely, exploration and freedom of movement.
If Sonic has to be in a 3D setting, eliminate the notion of "speed", and instead focus on fluid platforming with shortest routes set in short but numerous stages with different atmosphere every time, even in the same zone.
NOTE: This is not what Shadow the Hedgehog was. The stages were only a little shorter than others, and the focus was combat (worse, combined with pseudo-speed) not platforming.

Quote from: Ben "Yahtzee" Crowshaw of Zero PunctuationReleasing Sonic into a 3D environment is the equivalent of releasing fish into the dead sea. IT DOESNT WORK.
So, do you guys think that killing Father will fix everything or will we get a sad ending?

I'm somewhere in between. I have plenty of time for video games, I just don't have the attention span for gaming that I once used to.
My current situation is that I've given up on single-player games completely. My unfinished game pile has grown way too big to add any more titles to it. Stuff like Super Mario Galaxy, while great and all, I just can't sit through. I don't really know why, but gaming has lost most of its appeal for me. I guess I was more easily amused as a kid, maybe because there was always a sense of mystery behind games. Nowadays, I just see the limitations; invincible NPCs, invisible boundaries, linear stages, repetitive gameplay, and overdone storylines. And now I have to deal with games trying to be movies.
There's practically no motivation for completing these games, because it feels like such a waste of time now. I'll still play certain handheld games, and RPGs if I can customize things. But that's as far as I go.
Mutliplayer is a different story though.
Yeah, responsibility can sometimes lead to a huge lack of time for many things, whether it's gaming, hanging out with friends, etc. To be quite honest, I'm not sure if I play more or less games than I use to when I was younger. I mean, I play Halo 3 with my friend and JEEP ACTION it up probably about twice or three times a week. I also get in an occasional Brawl with Jelly, and lately some TatsuCap with fellow RPMers. Sometimes before bed, I'll relax with some Gundam Vs. Gundam Next Plus for the PSP. It really just depends on my mood. I'd guess that I still maintain my current level of gaming as I did when I was younger.
Redding, CA – February 6, 2010 – SUNSOFT, a division of SUNCORPORATION (JASDAQ: 6736), has today announced that BLASTER MASTER™:OVERDRIVE will be available in North America on February 8th for WiiWare.
BLASTER MASTER™:OVERDRIVE is an action-shooting game that takes place on an Earth infected by an aggressive, polymorphic virus. Poor, defenseless animals worldwide infected by the virus have been turned into flesh-eating, hemoglobin-swilling terrors. Fortunately, the world has Alex. And, even more coincidentally, he happens to be one of the world’s foremost biologists - specializing in viral mutation profiles and genetic manipulation.
Every studious biologist facing imminent global annihilation needs a sweet ride, and Alex is no exception. He has S.O.P.H.I.A., a shape-shifting, gas-guzzling, projectile-spewing paean to destruction on four wheels. Things look grim, but with Alex and S.O.P.H.I.A. on the case, the world just may have a chance.
Gameplay in BLASTER MASTER™:OVERDRIVE retains the critically acclaimed format of the original NES BLASTER MASTER™, alternating between side-scrolling platforming in S.O.P.H.I.A. and overhead-perspective blasting and exploration when controlling Alex. Upgrades for S.O.P.H.I.A. must be collected to access progressively more challenging terrain and a total of eight distinct areas. Each area features a mutant boss that must be defeated to progress.
The sublime blend of side-scrolling shooting/platforming mixed with overhead perspective action/shooting areas is just as addictive now as it was in the original game. The game is rated E10 for Mild Fantasy Violence and can be purchased from the Wii Store online for 1000 Wii points beginning February 8th, 2010.
As with the BLASTER MASTER NES Virtual Console release, fans are encouraged to improve their skills completing this game so they can compete and win in a coming promotion that will test their skill for collectible prizes.

Unleashed didn't even beat Heroes.
If they re visit the classics, there is the possibility they might gleam anything from it, and then use that insight on future games. Although, with Sonic Unleashed, who knows, the next "New" game might be a second step in the right direction. Maybe even give us that Sonic Adventure 3 Unleashed originally started out as.

yes, because every sega reboot in the past years weren't something completely terrible.
