yes, the raging [ray splasher] discussion was excellent.
But I think we need some tits, or...striped stockings, I like me some striped stockings.

Ass man, ass.

I thought we were cool. XD

Finished Casshern Sins this week. I really liked the atmosphere and tone of the series. I seem to remember an official thread floating about on the site, I'll leave a more in depth review there in a bit.

Hmm, all I can say about the next Nintendo console is that it's going to pioneer one hell of a new idea this time. They said that power & specs alone aren't enough anymore to justify hardware upgrades (and I agree to an extent), but I certainly hope that next time around they aim to level the playing field so that folks who might be hooked by "the newness" and folks who just want a console with equal/close to equal technical prowess can be satisfied. Personally, I just want better online. Maaaybe an HDMI out since having one cord in & out of my stuff is always an awesome plus.

I think after Brawl's poor sales and the general backlash, they're going to beef up online.

Although that wasn't really what made Brawl bad. Though it certainly contributes.

... Brawl sold more than Melee did in its lifespan in one year. Melee was the best selling Gamecube game with 6.7 (or something like that) million units.

April Fool's aura makes people death afraid of looking stupid on the internet.

Heh, well I guess I don't really care much for looking stupid or not. I'll enjoy myself one way or another. XD

True, but there's something that seems a bit out of place with this rumor.

But it's not a rumor... Where are people getting this from?

Seeing this right before seeing the 3DS news and hearing that I'm eligible for a new scholarship today has made this the best damn Tuesday ever. XD

Jesus, Nintendo went in for the kill this time. I wonder what the ergonomics will be like for the system though.

835
I don't think I need to say a damn thing about this and everyone on this site will know how I feel about it. XD

Gotta say though, portable 3D? That caught me off guard. I was totally expecting Nintendo to stay away from 3D until it got better integrated, much like they stayed away from HD with the Wii initially.

And remember, Sonics 1, 2, and Knuckles weren't exactly "gems", either. That's probably why they were so hated for the longest. Sonic 1 is slower than Antarctic Molasses, Sonic 2 drags on way too much and the goalposts are too scattered to make Emerald collection fluid, and S&K's stage design post-Flying Battery is *BEEP*.

this man speaks truth, take off your [tornado fang]ing nostalgia goggles kids.

Holy [parasitic bomb], this is the first time in my internet history I've ever seen someone attack Sonic 2 without me agreeing on what they were attacking. XD

By the way, how can anybody say that Sonic 1, 2, or Knuckles (which is basically Sonic 3 Part 2) were bad with a straight face? They have flaws, I can definitely agree to that, but to say they were bad? You guys clearly didn't come from the same 90s I did where Sonic was the only game series that could get the entire gaming public riled up on a scale similar to the Super Mario Bros. series.

That all said, you people just don't enjoy video games period.

Man, fans pick apart everything don't they? XD

I personally don't find anything wrong with what Nintendo's got going with Metroid, be it character designs, gameplay, or otherwise. It's a lot like Zelda where each entry is almost a total reinvention or retelling based on who's at the helm at the time, and I think Metroid especially prospers from this.

I thought she looked ugly as [tornado fang] in Prime 2, her model was way off, Prime 1 was even worse... its like her eyelids were a different color than her face. And she looked too Realistic in a Sci-Fi game with a more stylized approach.

That's the "In America!" filter. It was jarring, but at the same time fit. Weird huh? XD

All I know is that when this anime is translated and brought over to the US, it will definitely be the biggest thing you will see people dressed up as at Comic Cons.

Yup, the fanbase it has already is [tornado fang]ing huge, which is crazy for a fairly recent series.

Yeah, she's great too. Now imagine if Edoras Lluvia (It has to be Ll for her name to make any sense) switched habits with Gray 8D

I feel bad for saying this, but her in that librarian like standard outfit is more than enough for me. XD

God I'm so immature.

Besides, EdoLucy fits the stripper role quite fine.

So, I was wondering if anyone else was following this series and I felt like a thread would make for great advertising. It's an interesting and fairly enjoyable shonen, if a tad bit predictable or scatterbrained at times. This isn't too bad though if you are still amused by shonen tropes and don't mind looking out for the developing stories under the surface. The author, Hiro Mashima is responsible for Rave Master/Groove Adventure Rave (an awesome read) and he references/gives a shoutout to lots of things & concepts in Rave from time to time.

The series is fairly straight forward. It revolves around a world where magic is the norm. In this world, the folks who use magic, the mages, seek out guilds in order to use and refine their abilities as well as take on jobs for their lively hood. Naturally, as there are many different guilds with different intentions, this leads to the bulk of the storyline and interaction within the story. The character lineup is quite diverse and makes the most out of this premise. There is also an anime series out for this, but it might be a bit off putting due to the amount of "lol magic circles" and almost slideshow like fights & action sequences. Some of the fights are like watching extended summons in a videogame with no real contact made whatsoever. XD

Still it's not bad to burn though when you've got some time on your hands. It also has a magnificently bitchin' soundtrack.

Last thing I'd like to mention is that this series has copious amounts of fanservice. If you're the type that can't deal with it, I'll tell you from the start that you'll probably be irritated with the series since most of the funny comes from these moments. That all said, welcome to the thread! Discuss away!

I [tornado fang]ing hate all of you playing either of these games right now, especially those of you with Soul Silver. XD
