They are working on both and from what I've heard from the PSN demoers, if Enslaved is anything to go by, DMC is going to be one hell of a time for us onlookers watching the fan base destroy itself.

It doesn't make it any less of a [tornado fang]ing ripoff. But I should expect anything from Nintendo from now on.

...seriously, if they re-released each and every single VC game in disc format, without any changes, and had us pay 20 bucks for each, I still wouldn't be surprised. It's Nintendo. The current Nintendo pretty much strives on re-releasing the past.

So apparently the Asahi Shinbun website is reporting that on the blurb given for Mario's 25th Anniversary, a special mention was made regarding Mario's next appearances, most notably that Paper Mario 3DS will be seeing a Q4 2010 release.

Now then, what does this mean?

A.) The 3DS will be getting launched in one regions before year's end (possibly all three thanks to some interesting things circling the news reels)?
B.) There will be a new entry in the series with conventions closer to The (mother [tornado fang]ing) Thousand Year Door?
C.) I'm drowning in my own hype?
D.) All of the above.

Rage edit: Changed the title of the thread, because sometimes I wonder why we have the internet and instant access to information when people can't be assed to utilize it.

Calling it now. Nomura announces a new title, with a trailer that's 100% CG. For one and a half to two years, we will see absolutely NOTHING of that title, except knowing that it exists once in awhile with more info. Then Nomura ends up finishing it in 5 years or so.

The sexism thing is [tornado fang]ing stupid. People saying that Samus is so strong, is a simple matter of generalization. Given that you don't even see her face in most games, she could even be crying, and shitting herself all over everytime she sees a Space Pirate. Nobody knew until now.

Suddenly, I think of what it would have been like if this was the case in most Metroid games and it becomes a bit more somber than I once thought. Man this series' storytelling potential is through the roof.

I'll comment on Other M later. Get ready for it.

From what little I've read on it, I think I'd enjoy it just as much as I enjoy Trigger, but damn, it's a pretty jarring shift.

Forgot to mention that the main reason I stick by the "Cross won't be bleak if the third continues the story". The reason I stick to this is mainly due to the whole myth behind Leene's bell. You could look at it and say it only meant "Happily Ever After" for the events of that game, but if those events are being tampered with thanks to forces beyond the control of the mains there (through Serge's natural dimensional hopping), wouldn't it make sense that the bell's tolls are saying that "everything ever" will be ok in the end by virtue of being a part of the Chrono lore/story?

Yeah, this is kinda reaching, but I like it so far.

Oh I know about the issues with the story thus far. In a uncharacteristic maneuver for myself, I went and wikied some of the very basic threads between the two just because I loved Trigger's storyline & mythos that much. What I found though was something so "HOLY [parasitic bomb] WHAT? WAAAAT!" to me that it's now easily tied with Legends & Jet Set Radio at the top of my "game series that deserve a 3rd entry after years of hiatus".

I think that Cross isn't really trying to be all "lolgrimdark", it's just that there hasn't been another game there to offset the bleakness of it's storyline yet. This also leads to a fun little assumption I got with the games so far. If Trigger started everything, & Cross tied them together, what would Break have done..? ([tornado fang], I love this kind of [parasitic bomb] so much, why oh why didn't I pick up on this series before? )

Just to add some fuel to the fire, there was an interview with SE stating that they didn't want to remake V and (especially) VI on DS since they felt as though those games needed more than what DS offered. A few weeks later, the 3DS cover letter got "leaked" to the internet...



In other news, I've played and finished Chrono Trigger for the first time in my gaming life, and now I realize that I. NEED. MORE. CHRONO. I wanna try Cross soon, but I hear that it's a real downer after playing Trigger...

In the anime, they expanded the bit on Elfman's backstory, and showed us that he pretty much casually [sonic slicer] slapped her hundreds of feet away (ragdoll effect and all) which then cause Mira to freak the hell out (so there was no one there thinking calmly about the situation) and when Elfman finally came to, Mira was looking kinda out of it. After this, they ended that part of the scene so it's not too far off to believe that Mira found her while in that state of shock and didn't know what to think. Cue anima and... "OMG LISANNA'S DEAAAAD! ;___;"

Side note: only reason I ugh the anime is because it could be sooo much better than what it is and continues to be. Fairy Tail, while nothing approaching God Tier is at least a decent read/story and the animation just does it no justice. Unless you're in it for the tits.

To break away from Other M for a minute, it's just been discovered that you can keep your stuff in Prime 2. Involves a bunch of tricky [parasitic bomb]. But it cuts down the lowest possible percentage to 8%. This is huge. Huger than when the puzzle of 20% in Prime 1 was solved. Hell, this is huger than the discovery of Space Jump First.

I am anxiously awaiting a video.

Echoes proves yet again that it is the best Prime game. Ho-ly [parasitic bomb], what a week for Metroid games.

That song and the Attack mix are still my two favorite Fire Emblem mixes done for Brawl. The best part of With Mila's Divine Protection though is either when the Fire Emblem main theme kicks in with that amazing string work or the end of that segment when they start clapping out the flourish.

Meanwhile, I'm over here listening to some Nujabes music I downloaded a while back and never really got to listen to... I've now come to the conclusion that we were robbed and music in general was robbed when such a talented guy passed away. R.I.P.
