I wonder what happens if you show them the word "porn" I doubt it'd be just the word that shows up on their minds... 8D
personally, Id really dig the Idea of being able to record my dreams and watch them whenever I want.

Okay, well, I think I'm pretty much done with Falco after tonight.

So. Pit? Or Fox?
Akamaru, Jericho, what do you think?

I say Pit, but damn if you aren't annoying with him. Not like I'm not but... 8D

Still for all intents and purposes, good matches. It's a shame that delay lag got me so many times in that last Marth vs. Pit though. That match was looking pretty even.

Anybody can win with PIt.

You're just mad because he reflects everything and has power and speed to boot. XD

Same could be said for Sakurai's toy-boy, Marth.
Who, by the way, is countered fairly nicely by Pit! Just use grabs, and stay the heck out of his way during mid-air attacks.

Keep in mind though that you have to return to the ground often and Pit is lightweight. One good Up Smash by Marth can get rid of him earlier than you'd like. If I had to give you a freebie tip, you should try to play more mind games, then he'll be unstoppable to most Marths.

So, the game isn't on Rails anymore?

It never was, but now it's confirmed to be using a Super Sayian Secret Rings engine.

NGamer Preview:

Points in the preview are -
- Stage 1's enemies all seem to be knights

- Double edges sword slows Sonic's attacks down (most definetly due to the fighting style they chose)

- The camera sits behind Sonic most of the time, switching to a side-on view for certain combat and platforming sections - just like Unleashed.

- The winding track-like stages are as much racing game as platform game - just like Unleashed

- Other gameplay elements will see Sonic returning to completed acts to take part in a series of missions and earn more followers.

- Later levels are likely to introduce slightly different play styles. We've even seen one that places Sonic atop a horse-drawn carriage, giving him the opportunity to fend off an ambush from a bunch of nimble assassins

The UK Box. (Hopefully the US Box as well.)

Plays like Unleashed during day
and playable Blaze and Knuckles? Sold.

The bolded parts make me happy.

Hey guys, looks like Dragon Quest might just be the one series that could appeal to both Western and Eastern markets with Iwata's latest idea to push the series in both markets.

Quote from: Satoru Iwata in recent 1Up Article
"With the release of Dragon Quest IX, there are two things I'd like to make reality. The first is to build a thriving Japanese game market together with Dragon Quest that rivals the West's. The second is to form a strong tag team to promote Dragon Quest overseas. At Nintendo, we were able to popularize the Brain Age series overseas, which was said to be unmarketable. I want to increase the number of people worldwide that understand the appeal of Dragon Quest, which represents all Japanese gaming culture...even if that only turns out to be a single person. I'm looking forward to working together with Mr. Horii and Square Enix."

Article here. What I find interesting about this development is the fact that for a good while now, Nintendo has wanted an RPG series that would rival the popularity of DQ in Japan & Final Fantasy worldwide. Now, they have the goose that lays the golden eggs and they seem quite content on making sure it delivers it's best. My, how times change.

LOL, I remember that game; Mikey was absurd, and his Rising Thunder had obscene priority; and Aska's butt-butts (HEY, it's TRUE! She attacked you with HER FRICKIN' BUTT!) had a level of strength bordering on [twin slasher].

This made me lol. XD

Really? Not bad then. Also, this thread reminds me that I need to try out the R-Type series sometime soon.

Depends, although all I could give you are examples from games, and they might be a bit to upbeat because of it.

I leave for a little while and this place is turned into a console war?

Anywho, I've been getting into Raiden lately. The different powerup system that I'm not used to intrigues me.

Console wars are always fun until someone gets too riled up by them. Meanwhile, on a scale of 1 - 5 how are ya finding it so far?

Christmas is scaring the crap out of me this year, due to the fact that last I heard from him, my father tried to "set me up" with some huge military dude. And.. getting invited right before we all go to court again for another stupid money fight,  how suspicious is it?

Yes, but now that ShTH and Sonic Heroes are out of the way, maybe we could actually get a pretty decent character out of him. A sagely character without the old, brings up trivia on Gerald or past civilizations and stuff the others don't know, maybe even making an Egg-plan backfire or two.

As much as this could happen, it's a kids series. You know it won't. XD

Late reply is late but Nintendo 64 = Super Nintendo. There. I said it. XD

Besides, they both represent Nintendo's greatest creative peak.

It's a little late to try and make the Wii the standard for FPS' (which it should be), but the MotionPlus attachment should help the image of the next console.

Can I be really honest here? At this point in time, I am really just waiting on MotionPlus to hit the mass market just because of the possibilities. In some my free time in the past, I actually tinkered with the Wii Remote & Nunchuk quite often (go go Tech Club at university 8D) and just learning some of the things I did there, I was amazed at how come no one could implement them in a game or two. Now, we're getting 1:1 [tornado fang]ing movements... It's driving the inventor side of me insane. XD

Then there's an educated rumor going around that Nintendo didn't have anything ready for this year's holidays because all of their development shifted to MotionPlus development. I am rabid right now for more news. Surely this is all a good sign. 8)

Borrowed from one of the better sales trackers on GAF:

Quote from: Stumpokapow
PS3 numbers are awful. Substantially down YOY despite major software launches.

Wii's January - November: 8.05 million units.
PS2's best ever January - December: 8.39 million units.

Wii Play is now best-selling single SKU in tracked history by a country mile.

Scary.

OK, this is definitely something that needs a mention no matter what you may think of the company, the systems, individual brand loyalties or the direction that Nintendo as a company has been taking. Honestly, I don't even think that console sales are a topic that RPM really cares about, but this is just awe-inspiring. The November NPDs rolled out a few minutes ago on teh GAF (crashing the damn site with traffic in the process XD) and in a one month period of time, Nintendo sold:

Wii - 2.04 Millon
DS - 1.57 Million

And as if that wasn't bad enough, they also had a huge showing in terms of actual game sales:

3.) WII PLAY W/ REMOTE (WII) 796K
4.) WII FIT (WII) 697K
5.) MARIO KART (WII) 637K
10.) WII MUSIC (WII) 297K

Mario Kart is especially impressive for it's continued sell through, total sales numbers (below) and it's placing as the 5th biggest and most sold holiday game this year although it was released much earlier.

Quote
Software LTD's:
Wii Play: 7.929.501
Mario Kart Wii: 4.013.000
Wii Fit: 3.530.134
Wii Music: 378.000

Hardware LTD's:
PS2: 42.948.000
NDS: 24.463.000
WII: 15.391.000
PSP: 13.227.000
360: 12.449.000
PS3: 6.062.000

So then comments? Also, just to round everything out, here's the full list of info for consoles and games sold in the November holiday rush:

Quote
Playstation 2 206k
Playstation 3 378k
PSP 421k
Xbox 360 836k
Wii 2.04M
DS 1.57M

1.) GEARS OF WAR 2* (360) 1.56 million
2.) CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR* (360) 1.41 million
3.) WII PLAY W/ REMOTE (WII) 796K
4.) WII FIT (WII) 697K
5.) MARIO KART (WII) 637K
6.) CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR (PS3) 597K
7.) GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR* (WII) 475K
8.) LEFT 4 DEAD (360) 410K
9.) RESISTANCE 2* (PS3) 385K
10.) WII MUSIC (WII) 297K

I'll try and update this thread for anyone interested and with more games. All in all, let's have a round of applause for the gamers, because we all made this happen.
